29/08/2025: The staff is very kind and helpful, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the food is excellent. I tried the Sicilian meatballs and caponata — absolutely delicious, with authentic flavors and great attention to detail. A place I highly recommend to anyone visiting Venice!
12/08/2025: Update: Went back two years later and still excellent. After a few visits to Venice, I can confidently say this is the best restaurant in the city. It’s worth the excursion to taste the creations of chef Giorgio. Great food, warm atmosphere. Go. Now.
A warm, local place run by chef Giorgio. Welcoming atmosphere, delicious dishes (the eggplant dish has this wonderful robust red sauce) and super friendly owner. Away from the touristy places, Salvmeria is worth making your way to.

The employees were much more interested in each other and having a long conversation, insteed to take care of the customer… They put the cakes into a paper bag. he asked back four times that what I exactly want. Putting wraps and paper around several cakes, but finally when I offered the cakes to my family on the street it turned out not all was packed. it is really disappointing. Doing it 10 times a day makes this a really nice extra income…

07/08/2025: Late night dining in Venice. We came late so missed out on a clam and mushroom risotto but had a strong tube pasta pesto, taglioni with duck ragout (fantastic), fish of the day, sea bream carpaccio, pasta with clams, and some interesting celery sorbet with tequila and solid tiramisu.
The service was friendly and they brought some dessert treats on the house. They were also good about serving us even though we came in very close to closing time and we were the last ones to leave the place.

05/08/2025: I was wandering around Mestre looking for a place to "drink calcossa" (you guys), and I stumbled upon this oasis right in the center. A place that stands out for its architecture, decor, and customer service, where I felt at ease as if I were among old friends. Excellent selection of cocktails and various garnishes, I highly recommend it.

09/08/2025: They make their pasta themselves, and they catch fresh fish and clams daily. It is family run and they speak English. They also accommodated very well for my milk and fish allergy. What more could you ask for?

I had a mixed appetizer, all very tasty and well-cooked. Two samples of cacio e pepe pasta, and cacio e pepe with truffle... just what I wanted, delicious!
Dessert, mascarpone cream... just what I wanted, delicious!
The price was slightly above average, but I have to say it's worth it.
The house wine, rabosello.
13/08/2025: A very welcoming place, a beautifully decorated dining room, meticulous attention to detail, and delicious food. The only flaw is that the waiters are in too much of a hurry; they don't seem to give enough attention to each individual customer to think about the next.

02/08/2025: This place is for connoisseurs only. Completely off the noisy, hyper-Asian Piazza San Marco/Rialto circuit... In a quiet little square, a real tavern! White tablecloth, excellent service. Very good and tasty dishes. Good wine and a perfect atmosphere. 40 to 50 euros/pp. I loved it.

Serveurs sympathiques avec show à l'Italienne !! :-)
Très bon dessert avec la fameuse Pyramide de chocolat.
Un peu cher pour l'addition globale, surtout pour les plats du jour dont le prix était inconnu.
