Forget franchises and tourist traps; this is the true taste of provincial Italy. Unbeatable value and a friendly service that makes you feel at home. 15/02/2026: Truly a gem. A small but welcoming place. It's cold outside, you walk in, and a 1970s stove welcomes you into a sweet warmth. The owner, a friendly and approachable guy, immediately puts you at ease. The bread, I discover, is baked fresh. The dough is made in-house with local flours. Exceptional. Various high-quality side dishes paired perfectly... I had the capocollo with Tuscan pecorino and sun-dried tomatoes, which tasted magical. Craft beers on tap. Prices are absolutely reasonable for the quality of the food. Truly a place to remember.

08/12/2025: Yesterday, Sunday, around 3:00 PM, we were looking for a place that was open to eat and we came across this beautiful restaurant. A stunning veranda overlooking the center of Marsciano, with lots of plants and flowers on the walls. The waiter, despite the hour, welcomed us kindly. He served us a platter of cold cuts, warm bruschetta, and high-quality cheeses. Handmade tagliolini with white ragù and truffle shavings were a delicacy we will never forget. To finish, a sublime tiramisu by the glass. Such kindness and friendliness! Excellent quality/price ratio. We have saved it among our favorites, we want to return soon to discover the rest of the menu!

The gentleman is a testament to honesty, as when I paid with 50 euros, another 50 euro note stuck to it, and he immediately took care of giving me back what belonged to me. 18/03/2026: Found out of necessity, we were greeted by the owner with great kindness, and Mrs. Benedetta in the dining room assisted us with extreme professionalism and helpfulness, both in choosing dishes and offering advice for our next stay. The food was truly delicious: the tagliatelle were flawless, the Marchigiana tartare was flavorful and very balanced, and the tiramisu was exquisite. We can't wait to return to try the other numerous dishes on the menu and the wines. See you soon 🌈😊

22/03/2026: There were 12 of us celebrating a birthday, and the service was prompt. The staff was efficient, friendly, and attentive to every request. The food was excellent, and the ingredients were top-notch. We were expecting only lake fish, but the menu was varied and completely satisfying. A special mention for the chitarrina with anchovy butter and bottarga, and the desserts were superb. Highly recommended. We'll be back soon.

03/03/2026: When there's no free table inside, you can sit outside, sheltered by a veranda, and you'll be treated with all the attention. A restaurant with a good menu, combining pleasant flavors and traditional local flavors, and a good red wine that warms your stomach and helps you absorb the dishes served. The service is polite, courteous, and efficient, the bill is fair. Well done, we'll definitely return to try the witch's soup.

22/02/2026: Yesterday we had lunch at this trattoria; we couldn't have made a better choice! For starters, a lovely platter of game cured meats, each one better than the last. The bruschetta with pecorino cheese, honey, and coffee was a wonderful surprise! The first courses were truly magical: the wild boar ragù was truly fantastic, and the maltagliati with porcini mushrooms and sausage was a real treat! For the main course, a pork stew with wine that melted in your mouth. Kudos to all the staff, and a special thank you from our dog, too.

20/03/2026: Absolutely delicious. My husband and I stopped by for lunch and had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious. My husband had the liver pate as his appetizer which he loved. I had the vegetable tartare which tasted wonderful. For our main courses we had the bolognese and a clam pasta. We highly recommend this restaurant.

14/02/2026: The restaurant is tucked away, but easy to find. It's charming and has been expertly renovated to preserve its ancient features. The welcome and service were excellent, fast and friendly. From appetizers to desserts, everything was top-notch. They even let us try the extra virgin olive oil from the Il Melograno farm on our bread—a truly excellent start! I absolutely have to highlight the excellent grilled chicken, the baked potatoes, and the baked onions. Everything was cooked to perfection and had an unforgettable flavor. High-quality ingredients! The desserts are excellent. And to finish on a high note, the house amaro, kindly offered by the owner. It's not at all touristy, which was my fear. RECOMMENDED!!

18/12/2025: For Koreans who haven't visited Italy before, this is a restaurant catering to locals, not tourists. It's located up the stairs in an alley near a square with a fountain. The only downside is that the stairs might be a bit difficult for those with mobility issues. I'm not sure if my husband is Italian, so I'm used to salty food, but I've seen some reviews complaining about the saltiness, but for me, it wasn't salty at all and was delicious. This was the best salad I've had throughout my travels in Italy, and the meats were, without a doubt, delicious. The price is incredibly reasonable for the quality of the food, the space is spacious and clean, and the service is excellent. This is a must-visit restaurant when you're in Assisi. Be sure to try the salad. It's fresh, and you can mix it up with a little salt, pepper, olive oil, and Venegal sauce. If you're not sure what I'm talking about, I've attached a photo so you can see what I mean. I had the mixed pork steak, and my husband had the beef steak, and both were excellent. The quality is top-notch. In Italy, they usually offer coffee after you're finished eating at a restaurant. Restaurant coffees tend to be lackluster, but this one was truly delicious. Adding the sugar that comes with your espresso makes it a perfect after-dinner treat. You can pay for your meal by standing up and approaching the waiter. The total bill came to around 71 euros, which is a good value for the quality.
