Going to Città della Pieve and not stopping at Pizzicagnolo is like going to Rome and not seeing the Colosseum.

Passing through Rome on my way home to Lake Garda for work. I don't think I've ever eaten a schiacciata, or rather, a sandwich this good in my entire life—exceptional, to say the least. Rolled and cooked to order, spectacular local ingredients, meticulous preparation, delicious, a real treat.
The owner is friendly, the place is beautiful.
It's 11:20 PM and I'm still dreaming about it. My only regret is that I had to drive, otherwise I would have ordered another.

I went here because of the tasty photos I saw passing by. Once there, I asked the chef to make two of his best sandwiches. It didn't disappoint! It was mega delicious. The sciachatta is baked fresh just before you order, so it doesn't get any fresher. The fillings are all very flavorful and varied, making it feel like you're really eating a premium sandwich. Definitely go here if you're in the area! Super nice chef too! 😀🔥

A small restaurant located in the city center.
It offers various freshly baked schiacciatas made with local Umbrian products. I would have preferred more vegetarian options, although I still enjoyed the one with a mix of cheeses and mixed vegetables. Everything was very good and delicious.

A small restaurant located in the city center. It offers a variety of freshly baked schiacciatas made with local Umbrian ingredients. Vegetarian options are also available. We had one with Umbrian mortadella and goat cheese and another vegetarian version with a mix of cheeses and vegetables. Everything was very good and delicious.
