06/07/2026: I happened upon the renowned shop and thought, "Why not... let's try it." This speaks volumes about the power and influence of social media, which the owner clearly uses to great effect. If I hadn't seen his videos on Facebook or Instagram, I probably wouldn't have come in and would have gone to the usual pizzeria. The place is small but welcoming, the ingredients are high-quality. I expected larger portions, but that's fine (even better). Prices are also below average, and a lot of research has gone into it. These young local entrepreneurs, as well as promoters of the local area (and Terni), deserve help and support.

31/07/2026: The pizzas are truly delicious, so much so that we've been there several times and will return. We've tried several, and the quality of the ingredients is decidedly high. Last night, I had a bandaged hand, and they brought me the pizza already sliced, without me even having to ask, which shows uncommon customer service.

14/08/2026: My experience at Il Balestruccio has been quite mixed. On my first visit, I ordered spaghetti alle vongole, accompanied by a Gewürztraminer Elena Walch Alto Adige DOC 2025, and finished with a red berry pavlova. The food was very good, and the service was excellent. At the time, I would have undoubtedly given it five stars, and it was precisely this experience that encouraged me to return. I came back another day in the afternoon, as I had been told that the pizzeria opened then, and I wanted to try it and evaluate that part of their offering as well. This time, I simply ordered a pizza and a Coca-Cola Zero, without appetizers or wine, and surprisingly, the experience was completely different. The service dropped considerably, and I had the distinct feeling that the level of service varied depending on the table's order. And therein lies my greatest disappointment. A restaurant doesn't earn customer loyalty solely through the quality of its food, but through the consistency of the overall experience. A customer who returns because they were satisfied the first time should feel equally well taken care of whether they order a full meal with wine and dessert or simply want to enjoy a pizza and a soft drink that day. I travel frequently, and gastronomy plays a significant role in my trips. I've learned that the places that truly leave a lasting impression are those that maintain their high standards regardless of the bill. Il Balestruccio has excellent ingredients, a pleasant setting, and enormous potential. My first experience proved it. That's precisely why it's all the more regrettable that a second visit can so drastically alter my perception of a place that, for me, had been a five-star experience. A real shame.

12/08/2026: Honestly, the service leaves much to be desired. The first time I went, I was delighted and spent over €100. The second time, they managed to make me never want to visit again. Customer service is key to building customer loyalty, and it's not measured by the amount of food or money customers spend. I run a business in the Umbria region, and I wouldn't recommend my employees or acquaintances go through such an unpleasant experience. I will definitely improve this for future customers.

19/07/2026: We went to escape the 40°C heat of the plains... a corner of paradise with acceptable temperatures, near the Menotre River... The atmosphere is upscale and modern, the food is quality, the prices are a bit high, but you also pay for the location. The service is excellent, but some details could be improved, like the missing bread basket. I would definitely go back... I recommend it.

After nearly sweltering in the Rasiglia heat, we were able to enjoy the fresh air and delicious food at your restaurant. If I have the opportunity to visit the area again, I will definitely return.

The atmosphere is welcoming, refined, and relaxing, perfect for both a family lunch and an evening with friends. The staff was friendly, helpful, and attentive. The dishes are prepared with quality ingredients, beautifully presented, and rich in flavor. The portions are generous, and the value is excellent. I highly recommend La Bocaccia to anyone looking for good food, friendly service, and a pleasant atmosphere. I will definitely be back.

25/07/2026: The restaurant is warm and welcoming, making you feel right at home. The staff is friendly and kind, and Elisa, the owner, is fantastic; she even let us taste two wonderful new olive oils. Service is prompt. The menu is rich and varied, with both land and sea foods, excellent quality, and tasty dishes. Excellent value. We had Tuscan pâté, two spectacular first courses, as well as fried seafood, not to mention the birramisu. All accompanied by excellent wine. I highly recommend it, we'll be back soon.

15/04/2026: An old-fashioned tavern where time is marked by an antique grandfather clock. The owner is a jack-of-all-trades: cook, waiter, and entertainer. The menu is presented verbally. The legumes are divinely cooked, and the portions are generous when needed. The prices, in our opinion, are reasonable.
