29/06/2025: After a trip to Vinci we decided to stop at this small, somewhat hidden place... We ate fresh, delicious food... Quality cured meats and cheeses... various spritzes for an aperitif... the owner is always smiling and very friendly.

06/09/2025: A place like any other, taking advantage of the scenic presence of a lake to make its best impression. However, I found the service not up to par. Unfortunately, details matter and make the difference. A major sore point (I'll limit myself to describing the worst) is the access road that leads from the provincial road to the venue's gated entrance: pitiful and, above all, dangerous. While trying to leave a lunch reception, we came across a convoy of cars arriving for the evening reception. I can't tell you what happened on these 200 meters of dirt road, downhill and very bumpy. Cars were stuck, some needed to leave and some needed to enter. Cars were skidding. A road that only allows one car to pass given its condition. You risk leaving it there. Since, as I said, it's a place like any other, it's better to play it safe and choose Casa Masi, which is located right next door, with a quiet parking lot, no dangerous ups and downs for guests, and no risk of finding yourself with a car wrecked on your way to a party!

15/09/2025: The most beautiful palace in Florence, along with the gardens. I went on the first Sunday of the month and admission was free. You can't leave Florence without visiting it.

31/08/2025: Absolutely LOVED my experience at La Gramola. Massimo and Cecilia, the owners, are such a charming couple and have created a lovely gem of a restaurant. We popped in here on a whim and now I would go out of my way to return to Tavarnelle to come back. The pici pasta was so fresh and the sauce was delicious. The pork cubes blew my socks off- 10/10. The tiramisu is made fresh to order and a fun spin on the classic with homemade biscotti. The torta della ricotta was to die for- came out warm. Cecilia is the chef and she came to our table to say hello after our meal. Massimo told us about how he’s the photographer, and how they built this restaurant and created their cookbooks together. They also do cooking classes - something to add to my list for the next trip to Tuscany. We can’t wait to come back!

28/08/2025: Went there based on a recommendation. The tartare was just mixed meat with a spoon of Dijon, the pasta tasted no different than a store bought one.

Went for the Florentine steak and our waiter Gigi made sure everyone was happy with how it was cooked , even took up some slices back to the kitchen to cook the meat a little bit more for ones who prefer a higher temperature. 07/08/2025: The place is a bit small, seating for about forty people at most. And unfortunately, no air conditioning. But otherwise, everything was great. A classic Florentine osteria, run by a friendly host who goes out of his way to please you and make you feel comfortable. The dishes are excellent; we had roast beef and some pasta dishes, and everything was to our liking. The prices are fair, in proportion to the quality. The quantities are good. Well done... just a curiosity... but who's the deaf guy? Because the host could hear us perfectly well...
