12/04/2026: I ate at Kantunera with my family. We enjoyed all of Chef Danilo's dishes and the kindness and professionalism of Letizia, who assisted us at the table. I recommend the octopus with mashed potatoes and the linguine with shrimp and pistachio pesto, which my 6- and 10-year-old children particularly enjoyed. We will definitely be back!

The establishment also offers piadinas and local products that look to be of high quality. Very friendly service!

08/10/2025: I stopped by because it was near my accommodation, and it was a busy place with a constant stream of locals. A brioche (delicious!), a croissant filled with apricot jam(?), a croissant filled with light green chocolate (I didn't know what it was, but I just picked it up because it was so sweet, I ended up digging it all up), and a cappuccino for €6.50. I was very satisfied.
07/10/2025: Typical Italian bar with many locals, a few covered tables on the sidewalk, friendly service, excellent cappuccino, and crispy cornetto.

The food, the atmosphere, the fantastic service, and the friendly staff were all amazing.
We'd love to come back on May 16, 2026, and walk over from Calabernardo along the beach.

20/04/2026: sad to say, but by far our worst meal here. Fish was cold and not good, even the stray cats didn’t want to eat the leftovers. Fried artichoke was cold and inedible, impossible to eat. The owners kids ran around kicking a soccer ball in and out of the restaurant the whole time and threw these spark things on the ground that made loud bangs. We didn’t have silverware or napkins and kept having to ask for basic things like that or grab them from neighboring tables. Very overpriced too. The staff is nice but would pass on the food sadly. :(

16/04/2026: We had the restaurant recommended to us so we gave it a try. It was disappointing on many fronts. The appetizer that was a sampling of items was poor in many respects, the most import of which was that it just was not the quality and the flavors that we’ve had from other similar dishes at other restaurants in the area. After the appetizer, my husband had a pasta with mixed shellfish, and I had a risotto dish with shrimp. That course was fine, but nothing remarkable. The staff was attentive, they spoke some English, however, were dressed like they came from a casual outing with friends. It was acceptable for our quick casual dinner, but not a place we would return to.

02/04/2026: Unfortunately, Bar Valentino isn't what it used to be. The quality has dropped, the desserts were often inedible, and the staff... the girl who keeps washing pasta dishes in the bar sink... the tables were dirty, as was the floor. Perhaps they're short on staff. It's a shame...
26/02/2026: Located in the heart of Cassibile's main street, this café, rotisserie, and pastry shop offers quality products, freshly baked every day. Everything is delicious, and the staff is friendly, including the owner! If you're on Via Nazionale, stop by Bar Valentino!

La Cozza d'oro

15/03/2026: Fishmonger's restaurant: we stopped here for the first time on instinct. The owners were delightful, there was a tank with all kinds of shellfish (including American clams). The place was clean, the staff friendly, and everything from the appetizer to the first and second courses was truly delicious, leaving a scent of the sea.
For anyone passing through, I recommend stopping by.
We'll be back because we had a truly wonderful lunch.
07/12/2025: We had lunch at the Cozza d’Oro on our visit to Sicily. This is our second trip and again this seafood restaurant gem!! The location atmosphere and food was a 10!! Maurizio Bruno and chef and staple of the Cozza d’Oro Cettina were wonderful! We had a variety of fresh seafood also fried and some delicious pasta and seafood dishes ! Highly recommend La Cozza d’Oro of Augusta Sicily .
