14/05/2025: The Panificio Quartararo was for us, that is, my wife and I, a point of reference for eating an excellent pizza, with good quality ingredients, with an excellent service provided by qualified and kind staff, a quiet and clean environment, welcoming for the arrangement of the tables, in addition to being a bakery, it works as a pastry shop, ice cream shop, rotisserie and pizzeria, a place as mentioned before, excellent in every sense, a performance by all the employees to compliment the organization that have enriched the reputation of the Panificio Quartararo. For me it is a place that I will definitely visit many other times.

21/01/2025: The Virginia bar in via Sammartino in Palermo is a little gem that deserves a stop. The staff is helpful, attentive and friendly, with genuine smiles that, nowadays, are not found everywhere — and here they are absolutely free! 😊 The place is clean, bright and welcoming, with seating both inside, on comfortable stools, and outside, where well-arranged tables allow you to enjoy the atmosphere of the city. For a moment we forget the traffic and the horns and hear someone from some apartment playing the drums and the violin... savoring our food... The quality of the products is excellent: everything is genuine and fresh. Today I tried a berry croissant with chopped pistachios — a real delight. The berry jam was sweet enough, balanced and not cloying. A small detail that makes you smile: even a hungry pigeon appreciated the goodness of the croissant (certainly not the bar's fault!), but the staff, always attentive, is ready to intervene to guarantee the comfort of the guests. Recommended for those looking for a simple place but with excellent quality and a warm welcome. Try it to believe it!

06/05/2025: I think it's the best restaurant in Sicily and the restaurant of my life. The Trapanese couscous served with fish broth and the marinated prawn fish soup were so delicious that I went there twice. There are many wine pairings and the staff is very friendly. I think I will miss you a lot.

28/04/2025: Had dinner at this place, questionable experience. Poor couscous, fish seen through binoculars and drinks prices in my opinion excessive (13 euros for a half bottle of wine seems really a lot to me...) I wouldn't repeat the experience.

16/05/2025: Dinner was simply fabulous. Service was top and the dishes were superb! I can highly recommend this restaurant.It's located a bit outside the busy center, so very quiet and relaxing to have dinner outside on the terrace.

We don't go to a restaurant to get yelled at just because we sat at a table without waiting to be seated, and we immediately apologized when we realized that the restaurant didn't work like that. There was really no point in complaining about us and waving loudly.

02/11/2024: Unacceptable waiting times: 1 hour and 30 minutes for 3 slices of swordfish, also accompanied by a side dish different from the one ordered. Typical Sicilian appetizers soaked in oil and salt concentrates. I'm sorry to have to write that the service also leaves something to be desired: we had to beg for napkins and 5 were brought (when we were six). I wouldn't go back…

27/10/2024: If I could give 0 stars I would. We came when they opened and already the waiter looked annoyed that he had costumers, because he preferred to sit with his friends and smoke. We ordered 4 pizzas and 3 of them were pretty soggy especially the ricotta one was swimming in ricotta water. It was disappointing because the pizzas were expensive and we followed the waiter recommendations. The service was non existent, he didn’t ask us if the food was good so we didn’t had the chance to send it back. He only bothered to show again to clear the plates and give us the check. When we got the check we saw that he over charged us for 2 items from the menu as well. To summarize very bad service, expensive pizzas that does not worth your money.

29/04/2025: Unpretentious pizzeria that masters fermentation techniques to make airy and tasty pizzas. The cold meats and cheese are more than correctly matured, there is all the tradition and taste of Sicily. Some slight defects such as slightly burnt pastry while the dessert seemed below the rest and was not a necessity.

11/05/2025: Deep disappointment and unacceptable carelessness about food allergies I generally avoid negative reviews: I believe that an experience can just go wrong. But what happened this time exceeded all tolerance. We returned to this place after almost a year, strengthened by excellent memories and comforted by a phone call in which it was confirmed that they continued to serve gluten-free dishes, even for celiacs. Unfortunately, the experience was not only disappointing, but also irritating and worrying due to the absolute superficiality in the management of food allergies. Eight of us arrived and my wife, who has celiac disease and has further serious allergies (one of which can lead to anaphylactic shock), very carefully ordered a gluten-free sandwich, clearly specifying the ingredients to avoid. When the sandwich arrived, it appeared to contain sesame — a very dangerous allergen for her. Upon our polite clarification, we were shown the product label, which actually reported the presence of traces of sesame, but the waiter hadn't even read it carefully. Even though we had made it clear that we did not want to consume the sandwich but were willing to pay for it anyway, we were summoned by the owner, who addressed the situation with a rude, denigrating and unpleasantly polemical tone, trying to minimize the risk and questioning a health condition that would instead require respect and competence. In the end, no alternative was proposed (despite telephone reassurances), and the contents of the sandwich were brought to us on a plate, as if nothing had happened. No apology, no gesture of understanding, not even a kind word. Just a growing sense of unease for us and our friends. We paid for everything, as we should, but without even receiving the courage to say a final farewell from the owner, who preferred to remain hidden behind the staff. It's not a question of money, but of respect. And, unfortunately, you have completely lost that. We will not be returning, and we will firmly advise against this place to anyone with special dietary needs.
