02/07/2025: Le Naumachie is one of the best places to eat in Taormina. Situated next to the remains of one of the most historic corners of Taormina (the Naumachia building), it is atmospheric and majestic. The restaurant’s chef offers his guests tasteful and stunning dishes, beautifully presented, equivalent to those of a Michelin * restaurant. In between each course, you are offered a (complimentary) amuse bouche, each one of them being a true state of the art! They have an excellent wine list, for every purse, starting from a fairly low price/bottle and raising up to thousands of euros/bottle, should you feel spendy 😊 (this is not to be considered as a drawback, though, since one can pick one of the value-for-money wines they offer at lower prices)! The restaurant has surely invested well and wise on their service, which was excellent -relaxed and friendly, as another client suggested- and always ready to discuss their menu options and offer analytical details about everything (including the site’s history 😊). The signora at the entrance (I believe the owner’s mother) invites you at the restaurant as if you were back home! We will surely enjoy another dinner at this fantastic restaurant, when we return to Taormina, and enjoy an even better bottle of wine (or even two), something that we weren’t able to do this time, since we had an almost 2-hour drive back to Siracusa and drinking and driving is not advisable! The price range below included a value-for-money bottle of wine, two starters and two main courses.

21/06/2025: I ordered a prawn pasta, unfortunately the shrimp was very mushy (clearly been frozen for a while and not fresh). The pasta got nice sauce, but what a let down by the quality of prawns.. To be honest, they did put on the menu that prawns may be frozen, but I have asked the waiter to check if prawns are fresh and he said he would check but no response after that until the pasta was served. My husband had a seafood pasta, which turned out to be good, it had mussels, clams, a langoustine, all seemed to be fresh. Lastly, waited for a check for half an hour even though there were only 2 other tables.

26/05/2025: Antica Latteria is an excellent ice cream shop, and it takes a lot to say it! In fact, I don't like artisanal ice cream most of the time, because I feel an aftertaste that makes me a little nauseous, however I must say that Antica Latteria has an excellent quality-price ratio for a tasty ice cream with a good aftertaste. You eat it with pleasure and you feel the freshness of the ice cream!! Highly recommended

22/06/2025: Fantastic food and service. Cozy atmosphere and great location. A bit hidden away but would recommend anyone visiting Taormina to eat here! Order something from the "catch of the day" menu and you won't be disappointed!

29/06/2025: We happened to pass by it when we got off the train and what do we do, don't we get a coffee granita with cream? We've never made a better choice! Excellent granita, among the best I've tasted in the province of Messina. Even now, a year later, I still speak highly of it! It's a bit out of the way but we'll go back in some way, maybe to try other flavors.

03/07/2025: We were in Taormina for a week and visited different places. We probably had dinner and lunch here 6 times, because it can't be compared with other places. Everything was great, very tasty, high quality and the prices were very pleasant, the service was top notch! We were always complimented when we came back. We also chose this place to celebrate a birthday and didn't regret it! I highly recommend it, this place has become our favorite place in Taormina!

02/07/2025: A wonderful little pub on the sidelines, during the day only regulars, so I didn't have to wait for a table. The service was impolite, and the food was delicious. The best pizza I've ever eaten (fantasia), you can taste the fresh ingredients from the top shelf.

27/05/2025: Excellent gelateria! The ice creams are delicious, homemade, with a creamy texture and authentic flavors. We enjoyed our ice creams facing the sea in a magnificent setting; it was a real pleasure. The homemade whipped cream and the little biscuit add a nice touch. The service is friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this place for a successful gourmet break!

The linguine vongole was delicate and full of flavor, the rich bolognese was comfort in a bowl, and the lobster—tender and perfectly seasoned—was a showstopper. 24/06/2025: We had two iced lattes and a cannoli. Everything was delicious, and the guy who served us was very friendly. The prices were reasonable for the place.

20/06/2025: Perfect spot to stop by in Taormina for an aperitivo or a quick bite. It's a family-run place, and you can really feel the pride they take in their service. We had a traditional Sicilian sandwich, a fresh salad, and a few snacks - honestly one of the best meals I had during my trip to Sicily. Highly recommend!

18/05/2025: We had the best dinner here tonight. The service and atmosphere were excellent. I ordered the gnocchi and they were the best I have had in Taormina. They also had heaters next to the table's since it was cool outside. I highly recommend this restaurant. Delicious!

10/05/2025: Il ristorante si trova in un bel vicolo di Taormina, lontano dal caos. Il pesce è buono e molto fresco e la proprietaria molto cordiale e competente. Attenzione ai prezzi peró, soprattutto del vino, poichè abbiamo pagato un calice circa 16 euro. Nel complesso la qualità è ottima ma per un antipasto e un primo non spenderete meno di 80 euro a testa.

15/06/2025: We stopped to get a cone and some granitas with some friends. Before paying the bill I went to the bathroom but the counter clerk prevented me from entering because the bathroom was washed with bleach, I explained that it was an emergency for my four-year-old son but he rudely replied "even more so, ma'am, you're joking!". I had to go to the bar opposite where the girl, even though I hadn't consumed anything, understood the situation and let me use the bathroom. I mean, I understand that closing time was approaching, since I heard the other counter clerk complain, but if you let people sit at a table you should offer essential services, otherwise refuse the customer. Today 06/15/2025, I feel I have to change this review written about a year ago, unfortunately, alas, for the worse. In fact, yesterday I was enjoying ice cream and granitas with my friends in another bar not far from Chantilly and, by pure chance, the waiter who served us was the same one who had prevented us from accessing public services the previous year. After having served us cordially, the waiter stopped at the table and, remembering my face, had the good sense and courage to apologize for what had happened the previous year. The apology was obviously accepted. The complaint in this case should be addressed to the managers of the Chantilly bar who did not even deign to respond, a place I will never set foot in again.
