09/02/2026: I stumbled upon it by chance after two years of frequenting the area. It was a great discovery. From the simplest dishes to the most delicious, like the excellent sweet and sour suckling pig, wisely recommended by the very kind lady. I'll definitely be back and recommend it.

12/10/2025: Friendly welcome, presentation of the day's catch. Very fresh. Good value for money. The swordfish was a delight. It's worth noting that in Puglia, the meal is charged at €3/person, and that side dishes, like our fries, are also charged at €5. The wines aren't excessive, and this one is very good. Sea view and a beautiful, clean interior.

Master Giovanni, always present and attentive, imparts nuggets of wisdom on the art of pastry making, sharing many interesting anecdotes from his long experience in the industry... it's always a pleasure to listen to him. And then there's the quality, so much quality, of all the products, still prepared artisanally with love and passion. I continue to recommend this place, as I have since 1993, the year I began visiting lower Salento. Pasticciotto, a gold medal. For me ☆☆☆☆☆S.

26/08/2025: While strolling through the town streets before dinner, we stumbled upon this truly charming and unique bar. The many positive reviews of their drinks piqued our curiosity, and we can confirm: they're truly worth it! 🍸 Michele, who looked after us, was kind and attentive, as well as very skilled at making cocktails. He also recommended some local gins, making the experience even more enjoyable. A truly memorable place, definitely worth a visit.

24/08/2025: Rude waiters and owner. There are much friendlier places all around that serve happy hour aperitif with food included in their drink price. View is not great.

17/03/2026: La Baita di Monteparano is one of those places you discover almost by chance and then become a regular. I've been there several times, and each time I've had the same feeling: tranquility, care, and quality. The place is clean, tidy, and well-kept, but what's truly striking is the exterior. The landscape is meticulously maintained, with these splendid centuries-old ornamental olive trees pruned with ball-shaped foliage, giving the place a unique elegance, almost relaxing just looking at them. It's the classic place where you sit and feel comfortable, unhurried. Perfect for both breakfast with friends and a late-afternoon aperitif. The desserts are beautiful to look at and, above all, delicious, and overall the food is truly delicious: you can sense the attention and quality in what's served. It's located on the road connecting Monteparano to San Giorgio Ionico, making it very convenient to get to. It's one of those places worth stopping in for a while, not just passing through. It's not just a bar; it's a small, well-kept corner where you can enjoy a well-deserved break. Very, very nice. Highly recommended.

The service is rather impersonal and could be more friendly. The croissants were served warm and very good! The cappuccino was very good. Overall, a solid bar with good breakfast options.

22/03/2026: The best zeppola ever, and I've tried several in Nardò and the surrounding area. The rest is also good; I found some semifreddos and cakes a bit too sweet, but that's a subjective opinion. I recommend trying the almond milk, which also makes a lovely gift. Family-run pastry shop. The owners and staff are very kind and helpful. Welcoming atmosphere.
