25/12/2025: I hate to leave bad reviews, but I bought a panettone. The dough was incredibly dry, and it didn't justify the price at all. When I went to buy it, the cappuccino and cannoncino were actually good, so it's a real shame about the panettone.
23/12/2025: It's hard to find a place these days where the quality of the coffee and pastries is as high as this one! Brioches like clouds, perfectly filled, coffee with a perfect macchiato, and even the savory pastries are incredibly tasty! It's now become my go-to place for breakfast and snacks!

08/03/2026: We tried it for an aperitivo with a group of friends. The outdoor seating isn't very well lit; some lighting would have been nice. We didn't particularly enjoy the cocktails; we found the ratio of drink to ice unbalanced. As for the food, we were disappointed by the lack of appetizers to accompany the cocktails, such as the classic chips or taralli, so we were forced to order a few charcuterie and cheese platters and a few pizzas. They weren't bad, in our opinion, but a bit overpriced. The staff was helpful and friendly. All in all, though, I wouldn't recommend this place at this time.

27/02/2026: Crazy prices, rudeness from the young girl, and especially from the older one! They didn't say hello either at the entrance or at the exit! Four croissants left out at 9:00 in the morning... I don't recommend them at all... go elsewhere, Pallanza is full of bars/pastries with polite and respectful staff. P.S.: I'm editing my review based on your response...
I'll add that I was the only one in the bar and one other person at the counter. So the rudeness regarding greetings is definitely a part of the staff, since they heard me say hello both at the entrance and at the exit without receiving any "goodbye and thank you."
27/01/2026: Good even if the wait times to order are always long... It almost feels like being left there like an ornament. Update, it may be a coincidence but even the breakfast went badly, the cream brioche I had was filled with just a teaspoon of cream, I asked the barista if it could be refilled, she kindly apologized and fixed it, but the cream was full of lumps, with a floury consistency and almost no sugar.

01/01/2026: After 11 months, I'm turning the 5-star rating into a mediocre one, because you can't pay 18 (D-I-C-E-L-O-U-T) euros for two hot chocolates with whipped cream at your table, as if we were in St. Mark's Square or overlooking the Colosseum.
Instead, it's a stale 1980s bar under a portico in a sad, provincial Piedmontese town.

And given the precedents, this time I avoided the joke by paying by debit card.
And, in case I didn't make myself clear, I mean the receipt that is occasionally carelessly forgotten.
28/12/2025: There's no point complaining about the prices if the quality is excellent... The whipped cream and chocolate they make are the best in town and the price is right... good service.

07/01/2026: You expect something completely different from an osteria: average food, nothing special, very nice place, slightly dated location but still okay in the context, service could be improved, very rude waitress...
02/01/2026: The waitress was rude and surly. I asked several times what the appetizer was and got the same answer: "It depends." I asked for anything, but got evasive answers. I ordered fusilli with ragù, but the pasta was with chunks of meat and peppers. The salmon was clearly reheated several times, inedible, and tough. The only redeeming feature was the house wine, which was absolutely appalling. I'd give it less than one star if I could.

12/02/2026: A go-to place for breakfast, lunch, and aperitifs, offering high-quality and imaginative pastries (fruit croissants, marron glacé, chocolate, and a wide variety of desserts).
The savory options are also excellent (pizza slices, savory brioche, toast).
It struggles a bit when the place gets crowded and the afternoon hours are a bit short.

The pizza was incredibly greasy.
At the next table, two pizzas were burnt, unintentionally.
The cordon bleu was watery.
The cover charge was deducted per person instead of per table.
Go up to the old town, on the corner... next to the wine shop, you'll find the best pizza.
05/04/2026: The fish was well-cooked. The potato wedges were hard and cold. Overall, the presentation was uninspired. The service also seemed unenthusiastic. A shame, because the location is fantastic.

They call it an aperitif, but:
The Spritz has a price
The platter has a price
The appetizers have a price
Flourish hot chocolate, not thickened at all.
The chocolate and coffee mignon actually tasted like charcoal.
The platter, a small plate with three unappetizing pieces of cheese, stale bread, and low-quality cured meats.
All served extremely slowly.
Between the Spritz and the platter, about 20 minutes. Only two people needed to be served, but coordination was difficult. While one had already finished, given that the hot chocolate was cold cocoa cream, the other was waiting for the platter with the watered-down Spritz.

The owner scammed to me
I just ordered a tagliata di manzo but they just said there is no this kind of meat but at the same time they offered me another type of meat call sottofiletto but they didnt tell me the price is actually double of what i wanted
And basically this dish is also out of the menu. So at the end i was forced to pay double of the amount
