16/10/2025: I really liked it; if you're craving a different kind of pizza, this is the place to go. The pizza with prawns, stracciatella, and poppy seeds was excellent.

11/10/2025: This hotel is not as advertised. There is no air conditioning in the offseason. If known prior to booking I would have made reservations at a different accommodation. However this was not communicated in person or online. Our room was at 26 degrees Celsius (79 Fahrenheit) in October which is not acceptable with no circulating air. I placed my complaint with that staff and they assure this would be corrected. However it was not. We were told to open the window (that does not fully open) and to use the fan and that most guests prefer 23 degrees Celsius which is not what it is set at. I will be requesting a full refund due to the fact that there is no air conditioning available during the off season despite advertised amenities. For an accommodation located at the “pearl of the lake” I expected more. Especially considering the price. Save you efforts and book elsewhere.

08/11/2025: Tasty and good in the end, but impolite service and unclear pricing. Be careful, it's expensive. €30 for this (see photo). They told us eat in is priced by portion, and take away is by weight, so we asked to take away 2 little bits of salmon, 2 bits of squid and 1 bit of seabass - but got charged €6 per 'portion' and not by weight at the till. Additionally, not all portions are equally sized and I don't know if they take advantage of tourists or not, but we were quite confused and pressured by the person at the till. Additionally, we noticed that if you eat in, it's the same thing, they just heat it in the microwave... At least it was good food, and in a fine restaurant here it would be more expensive for a starter portion like this.

18/10/2025: Top location. Clean and cozy. Top food. Very fresh fish dishes. Top service from the girls in the shop/dining room. Top bill, so to speak. Overall, good.

13/10/2025: Trattoria San Giacomo is the place you find yourself at after you’ve failed to make dinner reservations elsewhere. The wait isn’t too bad. You are in the prettiest part of Bellagio and they offer pillows that you can sit down on as you wait on the stairs. They try their best to accommodate everyone and the staff is very communicative about timing. The food is not great. Perhaps some dishes are good, but overall not great. I decided to keep it simple—I ordered the pasta dish of the day which was a mushroom pasta and the fresh ricotta and spinach ravioli in sage and butter sauce. The pasta dish with mushrooms was so bad that I had them replace it, which they were kind enough to do with no charge. The mushrooms were boiled, tasteless and soggy. The pasta was served with the boiling water it came with, or that’s what I’m assuming as it was clear and bland. The ricotta ravioli on the other hand was good. Good, but not great. This is definitely a restaurant catered to tourists, which is fine. You’re just not going to have a fantastic meal here.

11/10/2025: We waited in line 45 minutes before they opened as you have to or you won’t get a spot, no reservations accepted. They have cushions you can crab and sit on the steps. Inside they play older American music loudly. Wish they had Italian music, would make for a better ambiance. After we were seated inside a little after 7pm it took 15 minutes to take our drink orders then another 15-20 minutes to get our water and coke delivered. We ordered the salad and soup of the day which were fine after we doused them with salt. We ordered the Osso Buco di Vitelo and the Tagliolini with meat sauce. Both were very bland and had no taste, had to douse them with salt. The beef shank was soft and tasted good after seasoning. The pasta was below average even after seasoning, barely any sauce or meat. Over all disappointed with the experience-this is a very hyped up place and not worth the hoops you have to jump through and time to get in here. We hoped for a better experience, but will not be coming back.

27/04/2025: A place with attention to the smallest details, excellent cocktails and a wide selection of quality wines by the glass, all accompanied by original and tasty finger food. Applause to the beautiful girl with green eyes. Until next time!

15/04/2025: I had two barley coffees sitting at the table, yes, the view of the lake is beautiful but in Porlezza there are others... well, €6 and I'm not a tourist!!!

28/08/2025: 🇮🇹 Italian ⭐ 1/5 Ogni tanto passo alla Pasticceria Vago Fabio, famous for its homemade pasticceria and le brioche fresche, ma questa volta unfortunately the brioche had a very strong smell of yeast. The waitress was very kind and replaced me, but the smell was still evident. I hope they can correct this problem on the next visit, because it is not normal for Italian brioche to smell so intense. Despite everything, the place remains well-known for its quality desserts and breakfast in Italy. ⸻ 🇬🇧 English ⭐ 1/5 I occasionally visit Pasticceria Vago Fabio, known for its artisan Italian pastries and fresh croissants, but this time the croissants had a very strong yeast smell. The waitress was very kind and replaced them, yet the odor remained noticeable. I hope next time they can fix this, as it's not normal for Italian pastries to have such a strong yeast smell. The pastry shop is still famous for its delicious sweets and quality Italian breakfast. ⸻ 🇩🇪 German ⭐ 1/5 I occasionally visit Pasticceria Vago Fabio, known for its artisanal Italian baked goods and fresh croissants, but this time the croissants had a very strong yeast smell. The waitress was very friendly and replaced them, but the smell was still clear. I hope this problem will be fixed on the next visit, because it is not normal for Italian pastries to smell so strongly of yeast. 29/05/2025: Breakfasts at Vago, especially their homemade brioches, are truly special: when I'm in Como they're always my go-to. The staff is also kind and attentive and the quality of the service and the products they offer is generally really high and excellent. 10/10
