31/08/2024: I've stayed in so many hotels through Italy, and this has to be the worst. As a solo traveller, I am used to paying the same cost as others sharing a room. Firstly, Hotel Silvo put me in the only disabled access room in the hotel - when I booked a double room with a balcony - not the disabled room. Secondly, the drain in the shower was blocked, which I discovered while showering. This resulted in standing in disgusting drain water that pooled in the shower floor. Thirdly, as the room is for disabled access, the shower had a very minimal lip. With the water pooling in the base, it leaked all over the bathroom and out to the bedroom. Fourthly, the only powerpoint with the plug that fits the adapters, was on the floor outside the bathroom. With the water running into to bedroom, all my electronics which were charging got wet. Fifthly, I tried to call the hotel from the phone next to the bed, inly to discover, the phone was not working. Sixthly, I reported to reception the next morning, who was very nice and helpful. However, she couldn't give me another room as the hotel was fully booked. I requested a refund, as this was not the room I paid for and all the drama with the room. Reception asked her manager to which the answer was no, they offered me a free pass to go to the 10 euro beach next door. And lastly, there are no hangers to hang towels, so had to use the shower rail. As the drain is a health and safety issue, as well as not the room I booked, a refund should be expected. Absolutely would never stay here again.

18/08/2024: Hotel Silvio is in a good location, walkable to the town of Bellagio within 20 minutes. Room was clean with great view to Lake Como at a great value. Breakfast was decent enough, it could have used better quality pastry and bread. Service was ok, except for one reception person who called me out on refilling a bottle out of the freezer water offered at reception, she said that was only a welcome drink that were supposed to drink that water only at arrival, which is kinda weird given it’s tap water jug with some lemon and mint. Bedding and bathroom could be upgraded a bit. Note that the restaurant doesn’t offer dinner, just some small menu items. overall, we enjoyed it.

12/08/2024: Food was great but, was so so slow. Took forever for them take the order and as I paid the bill the Waite asked me for tip and he add the number in the machine charging to my credit card wish I saw pretty outage.

11/08/2024: Indecent. They even denied having placed advertisements on the internet. I had only asked for savory brioche. After over half an hour, I got up and left. Not even a coffee and a glass of water!!! I really don't understand the positive reviews. Never have I found such a poor place and with such rude people.

13/08/2024: Impeccable service Perfect food I came here to Como and I found a wonderful place on the lake shore with truly perfect service, kind, polite and I repeat perfect, I recommend all the people who stay in Como to come and try the dishes, including food and aperitifs. Perfect I have been to many places both in Italy and abroad and no one made me feel loved and pampered, so with a few words, try it, you won't regret it. Perfect service thanks to Tony, a wonderful and kind man in every way, congratulations guys, every time I'm in Como I'll come back to you Thanks for everything, you are spectacular I recommend everyone to come to this fabulous place. Thanks again you are wonderful

12/08/2024: Nice lunch. Received two Panini sandwiches. Operation is neat & tidy. Nice terrace.

30/08/2024: Reduce the doses of alcohol and also snacks. Now they bring you olives, spring onions, taralli and two pieces of focaccia or something similar

01/08/2024: Worst pizzas we’ve had in Italy so far. The service was terrible. We waited for more than 30 minutes to order the pizzas because they were more eager to serve for friends. Waited for another 40 minutes to get them just to find out that one of them was wrong. They apologised and asked if it was okay for us to wait 5 minutes to get a new. Came 20 minutes later. Waited another 30 minutes to pay.

23/06/2024: Decent aperitif. But compared to the advertised description on Google, two chips and peanuts. When we mentioned it. Two olives and two pieces of pizza.

16/08/2024: Sono stata a mangiare con la mia famiglia per ferragosto, attesa troppo lunga più di un’ora solo per l’antipasto (tagliere di salumi), personale non sempre gentile. Inoltre ci hanno fatto pagare un dolce in più rispetto a quelli presi da noi. Location bella, vista lago.

21/07/2024: Posto bellissimo con vista favolosa. Oasi di pace. Pulizia impeccabile. Ristorante magnifico dove abbiamo cenato tutte le sere. Si cena all’aperto godendo di un fresco fantastico in piena estate. Ottima anche la colazione. Proprietari e personale tutto davvero disponibili e professionali. Un punto di riferimento sicuro per visitare i fantastici luoghi del Lago. A presto. Fam Tosoni

14/07/2024: Location molto molto bella ma purtroppo questo è stato l’unico punto forte della serata. Premetto che potrebbe essere stata una serata no, ma dal momento dell’arrivo il servizio ha lasciato molto a desiderare, abbiamo atteso 20 minuti il menù, altri 20 per ordinare, abbiamo preso il menù del giorno e tra una portata e l’altra passavano 45 minuti. Il servizio è stato molto confusionale, sbagliavano in continuazione i tavoli e le portate facevano giri infiniti prima di finire al tavolo giusto e spesso non volentieri i commenti tra i camerieri e il capo sala non molto consoni all’ambiente erano detti ad alta voce. Avevamo aspettative molto alte, ci aspettavamo più spiegazioni sul cibo e sui vini, consigli di abbinamenti ma nulla di tutto ciò, 4 portate sono state servite ogni volta da un cameriere diverso e il pane abbiamo dovuto chiederlo noi. Cibo buono ma non all’altezza di quel che abbiamo pagato.

30/08/2024: I was disappointed by the fact that many years ago we ate good ice cream of various flavours, now only three or four and not... genuine.. .meh

09/08/2024: Last 3 breakfasts made within 3 months, served frozen croissants.

20/08/2024: All the food is frozen or pre-cooked, they don't have a kitchen, you can see the frozen pizzas and how they heat them right away, it's shameful what they charge and how they deceive customers. In addition, the prices are expensive, it takes half an hour to serve you and there are 4 waitresses watching, while the “cook” heats up the frozen pizzas and lasagnas. I add photos of the frozen pizza and lasagna, there you have your “kitchen”, for those who don't believe it, and whoever goes, show them the wood oven 😂 I hope people stop going and don't cheat anymore.

15/08/2024: Great address! With a crowd of people and well they were willing to take us! We were on the small terrace behind, quiet. Very good dishes and at reasonable prices. It’s probably trays but it’s still good and not expensive! So it’s up to you to choose!! The staff is very friendly! Thanks everyone!

17/07/2024: Excellent mixed fried food, fresh and cooked very well, no hint of the oil which is probably changed often. Personally very kind and helpful. The prosecco is also good. There are many qualities of fresh fish. Advised

04/08/2024: A gem on Lago di Como: delicious food, including local specialities, in cozy restaurant tucked away in this little town. Lovely, set-back and shaded terrace with lake view. Above all: the owners, Linda & Mirko, are super friendly & passionate about what they do. Including for catering events! Linda planned a big celebration for me this summer on the Lake and I couldn’t have been happier: her attention to detail, the quality of the food and service, the personal touches, and all this always with a smile . Highly recommended!

14/07/2024: It's now customary for me, the location is fabulous, the food exquisite, the staff (from the owners to the service staff) always ready and available to satisfy every customer request, excellent choice of wines. Having lunch on the terrace overlooking the lake is enchanting. The prices are more than sustainable and the quality of the products served is commendable! I can't help but go back for the umpteenth time! A special applause to Linda and Mirko. See you soon

30/08/2024: After calling to ask for some information about a reservation I was immediately convinced. I convinced myself that it was better to book elsewhere. Unfortunately I can only confirm the reviews that complain about the rudeness and discourtesy of the staff at reception. The director should perhaps check more carefully how the reception staff manages relationships with current and potential customers.

29/08/2024: Unbeatable stay with my partner at the Miralago Hotel. Excellent location and spectacular breakfast. Without a doubt, our favorite hotel on Lago di Como.
