11/07/2025: This is a historic restaurant in Domaso that has had several different owners for varying lengths of time, but all have maintained the unique character of the osteria. Access is gained by descending two steps into two rooms with exposed stonework and vaulted ceilings. An internal staircase leads to the first floor, where the rooms are modernly furnished. The menu offers classic lakeside specialties and well-prepared seafood. The wine list is decent, and prices are reasonable. It's popular with tourists seeking this historic atmosphere, and they don't mind the lack of lake views. July 2025: closed until a new owner is found.

03/07/2025: Our second visit to this restaurant, and this time we weren't disappointed—quite the opposite! The food and service were excellent, and the interior was cozy. A very nice and warm atmosphere. This year, the older chef came by again and asked us if we were enjoying our meal and if everything was okay. And it was! As we left, we made sure to thank him personally once again! We'll definitely be back. Thank you very much!

08/06/2025: I was there for a baptism party. They presented us with a wide selection of sweet and savory snacks and an excellent fruit cake.

01/06/2025: Very professional pastry shop with elegant interiors and kind and prepared staff. The products are very fresh, I recommend the pastry tasting. Possibility to book special cakes. Recommended

25/06/2025: Today we were at this restaurant for the first time and we opted for the "Menu of the Day" formula: at a cost of €17.50 per person, the menu includes a first course, a second course with side dish, service charge, water and 1/4 of wine. I had the meat dishes: Tortiglioni Sausage and broccoli and Saltimbocca alla romana with mashed potatoes; NonZio had the fish dishes: Farfalle with seafood ragù and Roasted octopus with spinach. We were both happy with the dishes they served us: they were well cooked and tasty. The bread basket was good and also included a small olive roll and a whole wheat one with sesame seeds. The warm focaccia with oil and oregano, offered as an entrée, was very welcome. Since the Menu of the Day formula also included wine, I chose a sparkling white, which was very pleasant (NonZio instead only had water because he had to drive...). To close the lunch, an inevitable macchiato coffee for both of us, which is not included in the menu, but is charged only 1 euro (while everywhere else now it costs 1.50 if not 2 euros). The only flaw we found, the very very slow service (or perhaps disorganized): as soon as we sat down as a couple they came to ask for the order but without having brought us the menu, once we had the menu we waited more than a quarter of an hour to order. After the first course (which arrived very slowly) we waited almost half an hour before the second course arrived, so much so that we were no longer even very hungry... Fortunately we were not in a hurry, but we entered at 12.45 and left at past 2... I hope it's a coincidence, because it's a nice place and the staff is numerous, but perhaps today it was a little disorganized. We will return to try other menus and also the pizza and hope to be able to correct the evaluation of the service. A question: can anyone tell me what the mega robot outside means?

26/06/2025: RUDENESS REIGNS. I'll start by saying that, living in Sagnino, I'm only 5 minutes from the bar, and I was a regular customer until recently. Alas, since they put the waitresses Alessandra and Mary on afternoon/evening service, everything has changed for the worse. Unheard of rudeness, you order a drink accompanied by a cutting board (both for a fee) and it almost seems like you're bothering them. The place closes at 8:00 pm, and by 7:30 pm they've already dismantled everything, and if you try to order something else, they huff or roll their eyes in the air. All of this is unheard of, especially for me who was a regular customer. The owner Mattia should better check who he leaves his bar in charge during these hours, I'm sorry but this way they lose customers.. and one of these is me.

18/07/2025: Highly not recommended for a place to have breakfast outside, sitting down. They never serve staff who are incapable of monitoring the situation for at least half an hour, unless you go and find someone yourself. It's better if you have it at the counter. Also, they have a pastry shop and at 10 in the morning they're always out of the classic croissants. Their good thing is their location.

10/07/2025: A great place for an aperitif, snack, or breakfast. The only problem is that if there aren't many people sitting outside, the staff tends not to come out to check on a customer. In fact, we've had to wait over 20 minutes before anyone notices us several times.

22/08/2025: A great meeting place for a quiet evening with friends and new colleagues =) The outdoor area is pleasant for warmer evenings, and the inside is comfortable for a pleasant evening. The music isn't too loud, so you can talk quietly. Parking isn't the easiest thing to find, but if you keep trying, you can find something nearby.

08/08/2025: Quiet village on the shores of Lake Lugano. Terrace with lake views. Hearty and al dente spaghetti allo scoglio. Good selection of mussels, clams, and shrimp. Pleasant lunch break. Service a little slow.

20/07/2025: Excellent food and service! We were in a rush for a train leaving Como, passed by this place, and decided to grab some takeaway to eat on the train. We ordered the barley, couscous, seafood “paella”, salmon and tuna tartare, and some battered fish. They were all tasty! The grain dishes had a generous amount of seafood too. The food is charged based on weight but reasonably priced for the area. Staff were also super friendly, helpful and generous - they gave us a bunch of serviettes and offered cutlery immediately. Some reviews mentioned their bad attitude towards tourists but I received none of that and had a most pleasant experience. Highly recommend!
