Also, €9.45 for two cappuccinos, a brioche and a small tart, with no service included. I do not recommend this place to tourists. There are very good cafés nearby where the welcome will likely be warmer

07/06/2026: Nine euros for a Negroni. Let's start there. Maybe you get used to everything costing a fortune, but it seems a bit too much for such a so-so place, given the cars in Piazza Sarzano.
We order the cocktail, and it takes 20 minutes to arrive. There's practically nothing to nibble on, just two potato chips and four olives.
The drink is 99% full ice cubes (not the usual ones with a hole in the middle), 2 cm thick, practically icebergs, leaving no room for the drink. A sip with a straw and a half-empty glass 😥
Not even a hello or an "everything's fine" at the cashier?
Forget it.

The small dish was just the right size and very good.
The price of €26.00 for both drinks seems a bit excessive to me.

21/10/2025: I don't go often, but every time I go, it's a treat. The brioches are really delicious and filled with a variety of creams, like almond or hazelnut. The place is cute and the staff is very friendly. Absolutely recommended. The cakes are also very good.

06/04/2026: The ice cream was average, good. The problem was that we were first told we needed a receipt. We went to the cashier and were told that since we were planning to sit down, we'd have to order outside.
We sat down, and the waitress came and told us that if you're sitting at a table, you can't get a cone, only a cup. We accepted anyway.
The bill arrived: a €2 surcharge per cup wasn't communicated to us by either the cashier or the waitress, which wasn't a problem, but I would have preferred it to be communicated to me.

10/05/2026: My husband bought me some pastries for Mother's Day, and also some slices of chocolate salami. Years ago, I used to buy them often, but now there wasn't a single good pastry. They just taste like sugar. The chocolate ones are all the same, the cream ones are the same. The chocolate salami tasted like nothing, and the rum babas were just too wet and soft. Pastries aren't as good as they used to be. I'm sick of them. Never again.

20/03/2026: I've been sitting at the table outside for 15 minutes with two girls inside looking at me and no one to ask if I want to order. Or at least say, "Ma'am, we don't do table service." Instead, they're inside, watching and laughing. Terrible. I'm leaving.

06/07/2026: Oh my, how pitiful this place is! The service is nonexistent. If you want to order inside, they say you have to order at the table, but the waiter is either deaf or incompetent because we waited 30 minutes at the table with no service. Obviously, locals are given priority, and tourists are treated very poorly. In recent years, the coffee was acceptable (nothing special) and the croissants were decent—there are definitely better places in Rapallo. It's a shame that a tourist destination like Rapallo doesn't teach tourism businesses (food, hotels, etc.) how to treat tourists (who spend a lot of money there). Without tourism, Rapallo wouldn't exist.

14/05/2026: It says "pizzeria restaurant" outside.
But when you enter, they only serve pizza.
The place is empty at 12:30. We ask if it's open. Yes, only pizza.
I go to wash my hands in the bathroom. It looks like a closet, and there's an electric bicycle parked inside.
There's soap, but it doesn't come out of the dispenser.
The hand dryer is halfway detached from the wall.
Muroalpinismo pizza and Ascoli olives.
The pizza was good, but overcooked, and the croutons were dry and hard.
The olives were so cooked that the outside crust was dry and inedible.
A man comes and places a dusty drill case on the table in the dining room. I'm attaching a photo.
I'll never go back.
22/03/2026: In the kebab sandwich there was only bread and salad, there was no meat or sauce and furthermore the meat was raw.

01/08/2026: Never again. I waited exactly five minutes at the counter while the staff ignored my existence, chatted, and looked at me like I was an alien. At the cash register, they even tried to overcharge me for my drink when I was told a different price at the counter. Terrifying.
21/07/2026: Worst in all of Genoa, disrespectful staff. We entered the bar 20 minutes before closing, there were people sitting outside, music was playing, we wanted to drink prosecco, we were told the bar was about to close, we asked to at least buy some water and go to the bathroom, the waiter refused in a very rude manner, we went to the bar next door, we will avoid your bar, I do not recommend it.

02/06/2026: A truly terrible experience in every way.
I ordered a focaccia with salami and fontina cheese, and my focaccia arrived with just three slices of salami and a slice of cheese instead of fontina. The situation was even worse for my friend, who had ordered a focaccia with prosciutto and mozzarella and ended up with two thick slices of speck and a slice of cheese. Not only did the ingredients not match those ordered, but no one bothered to let us know in advance or ask if a substitution would be okay.
When my friend went to ask for an explanation, pointing out that she doesn't eat speck and that she had paid for a different focaccia, the girl behind the counter simply shouted toward the counter: "Why did you put speck and not prosciutto?" The response was a curt and annoyed: "Eh, because we ran out." No apology, no attention to the customer, not a single sign of professionalism.
At that point, they offered to remake the focaccia, but with such a rude, annoyed attitude, almost as if we were bothering them for pointing out an obvious mistake, that my friend preferred to let it go. When a customer pays for a product and receives something completely different, asking for an explanation is the least they can do. Making them feel almost guilty for reporting the problem is unacceptable.
Mistakes can happen anywhere, but what really makes the difference is how they're handled. Here, not only were ingredients substituted without any warning, but there was a complete lack of politeness, customer service, and a willingness to politely correct the problem.
Disappointing food quality, ingredients different from those ordered, and extremely unprofessional staff. One of the worst experiences I've ever had in a bar. I won't be returning, and I absolutely don't recommend it.
Oh, I forgot, the bathroom was awful; there wasn't even any soap, and it was filthy.
