08/03/2026: It's been my go-to gelato shop for years. What sets it apart and makes it unique is its artisanal gelato: it's received national recognition and awards. Both inside and outside have comfortable tables where you can eat and enjoy the bar's products. It's the perfect place for a morning coffee or, in general, for any coffee break. The shop also offers a tobacconist. The street outside the gelato shop is full of free parking.

12/09/2025: The pastry shop is also good, with medium-high quality products, but rudeness reigns supreme! I felt uncomfortable the whole time while they made fun of older people! If you're stressed out working with the public, change sectors! A break turned into complete discomfort! I'll never go there again...

26/08/2025: Very good point and I was just purchased ICE CREAM. Well and Good The service MEN are not understanding what is my request for the purchase of ICE CREAM products.

25/05/2026: I've been coming to the Roma Est shopping center for years, and Gran Caffè is my favorite place, for their kindness and customer service. I can say they meet all their needs, and that's not for everyone. I can name them ALL because they're all VERY GOOD. I'll name one because she's the girl I say does everything: Manila, very kind, friendly, and very quick at her job. And I assure you, I'm very demanding (let's say annoying 😊).

25/05/2026: Making good coffee is an art, and I'm sad to see more and more unprofessional employees who know little or nothing about coffee. The coffee wasn't properly adjusted, the brewing was too fast, it was definitely coarsely ground, and the color was almost yellow. If you want good coffee, move on.

28/04/2026: I couldn't disagree more with those who don't like this place. I'm not sure what they were expecting, I saw somebody had complained about a tea they'd ordered. I mean their specialty is coffee. My wife has gotten tea here and she's always been happy with it but mostly we get cappuccino in the morning to go in an extra large cups along with some pastries. Oh you've been coming here for years and we've always found them very nice. Especially if you're staying in one of the hotels nearby. This is a great place to stop off for a quick breakfast. It's also not a tourist place by any means. Most of the people who frequent it are locals.

15/04/2026: Inflated tourist prices! Expect to pay double what you would pay at any other cafe bar. This bar now seems to be called Da Michele. We asked for two croissants and two large Americano coffee, to go, and were given luke warm coffee and yesterday's croissants. They charged twenty euros! We were staying at the Hotel Golden next door and thought it would be so convenient. The price and quality just wasn't worth it. Compare this to the same order at the train station the morning before that cost us half that and we sat down at a table, so there was a cover charge and still paid half of what today's breakfast cost. This cafe bar should be avoided.

18/07/2026: Overpriced ice cream. Prices are not shown but hidden somehwere to cpmply with the law, with a range of pricing from 6 to 10 for small cups.

17/07/2026: Came in for a gelato on a hot day and our server was confused throughout our order, just a couple scoops in a cup and it was the hardest request they have faced. Gelato flavors weren’t very authentic. Watermelon tasted of bubble gum and mango was nearly flavorless. Strawberry was good though! Prices were a bit higher but I guess we’re in a touristy area. Server was nice to fill our empty water bottle.

19/07/2026: I had coffee, ice cream, and a yogurt for my daughter. The treatment was fantastic, served with reverence. I paid the right amount because table service is also free, so let's cut to the chase.

29/05/2026: The store isn't large, but it's well-organized, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The yogurt is very good. The ice cream, in my opinion, is exceptional. Recommended.

12/10/2025: On Saturday night, 15 of us sat down, ready for a quiet evening with friends... and instead, we found ourselves in a nightmare. We started ordering drinks: they didn't have still water, only sparkling water. That says it all. Okay, we adjusted and ordered 10 bottles of sparkling water. After a few minutes, the waitress returned to tell us that... they'd run out of that too. We ordered beers: we asked the same waitress for Weiss. After two minutes, the owner appeared to inform us that they'd never had Weiss. Perfect, by now we should have figured out where we'd ended up. Let's move on to the food: "Kitchen Nightmare" quality, and that's not just a figure of speech. All the fried foods on the menu were "unavailable" because—in their own words—"we removed the fryer, now we use the air fryer." Perhaps to save on electricity. We then ordered some fried chicken strips (so to speak). After an hour of waiting, they arrive: sour, inedible. The sandwiches are burnt, with bacon that probably went bad, and the meat seems to have been shared between multiple sandwiches. The quality of the food was simply disgraceful, and the kitchen management is appalling. At that point, we decide to get up and leave without touching practically anything. They also charge us 10 euros each without having eaten practically anything. And, as if that weren't enough, we see the uneaten sandwiches being set aside as if they intend to reuse them in the future. A place like this shouldn't even open its doors to the public. Zero organization, food worthy of criticism, and management that's embarrassing to say the least. I've never had an experience like this. But the final gem... they had a DJ playing outside... there wasn't any still water, but there was a DJ.

12/10/2025: Surreal experience: we called to reserve a table for 15 at 11:00 PM on a Saturday night, and they confirmed we could eat. Ignoring the fact that half the dishes on the menu weren't available, we ordered drinks and, after being brought a few beers and five bottles of water, we were told they'd run out of water for the evening (12:00 AM on a Saturday night). We'd ordered a few portions of chicken nuggets, and what we received were inedible chicken strips (left there after just one taste), undercooked chicken, and rancid meat. The best part was the sandwiches, since as soon as the first three arrived (we'd ordered 15), we noticed that the bun was burnt, the bacon wasn't bacon, and, most importantly, that the burger had been cut horizontally and was COLD. Given the situation, we decided to pay and get up without having barely touched any food, and without the staff apologizing or saying a word about what had happened. I think it would have been enough to communicate that they didn't have the resources/staff necessary to provide dinner (and water). I've never had an experience like this before, so if you're thinking of stopping by for a bite to eat, it's definitely worth avoiding.

12/07/2026: I had two cappuccinos and two croissants served inside this very ordinary bar near the central station...paid 16 euros like at Revoir in Piazza Signoria in Florence...😯always read the menu on the table first before sitting down, the signs hanging on the table do not specify the surcharge...never again!😡

05/07/2026: Overpriced for everything for the service, which is best forgotten. Good food, but inside the bar, it's noisy and disorganized, and the price is crazy for Rome. Breakfast for two was €19. We stayed several nights in the area, and there are many good options.
