22/03/2026: Rude staff. The girl at the register didn't even say hello and was rude when we politely placed our order. It's a real shame because the service alone wouldn't make me return.

16/03/2026: We stopped for a quick bite to eat at a table for two pastries and two coffees. Excellent products and fast, friendly service. A good experience.

20/02/2026: Pastries are so-so, just very average, but pretty expensive. No price tags and I paid much higher price that it was advertised in the beginning.

11/02/2026: Breakfast was included with our hotel stay. I imagine they didn't feel like working, because at first they told us it was all over, then they said they didn't want to give it to us, and finally they said the system was down, all while laughing.

After paying at the register and waiting for our coffees amidst general indifference, we enjoyed a few minutes of relaxation outside... until the final twist: we were chased by the waitress as if we were running away without paying. Too bad the receipt was already in our pockets! A surreal experience that left a bitter taste in our mouths... and it wasn't the coffee. A lot of attention was paid to the price increases for a practically non-existent service...

04/11/2025: Paying €3.20 (just) for an excellent coffee and an exceptional dessert would already be a great start to the day. Then my empathy for this city and its people increases when, paying after I've already consumed something, the automatic cashier gives me change for a €20 note, with about 100 20-cent and 10-cent coins. At that point, the very sweet old lady at the cashier calls the pastry chef, who gives me back the full €20 and tells me not to worry, you can pay me next time. I'm amazed, thank you for your trust, but I don't live here, and what's he surprised about? We're in Naples. Finally, after persevering, I managed to pay with my debit card. What a great start, and jurnat!

02/02/2026: We booked this venue on May 22, 2025, for our wedding on September 26, 2026, paying an agreed-upon deposit, as requested. After months (January 31, 2026, about eight months before the wedding), we returned to pay an additional deposit, only to be informed that they were canceling the wedding, citing "a chef couldn't be found." We find this justification both implausible and profoundly unprofessional, considering we're talking about an event scheduled over a year in advance. From January to September, a restaurant that organizes weddings should ensure a stable organizational structure, not offload an evidently inadequate internal management onto the couple. The damage is not only financial, but above all emotional and organizational: over a year before the wedding, we suddenly found ourselves without a venue, with no real accountability. Reliability, empathy, and fairness toward clients were completely absent. We strongly advise against this venue for important events like weddings.

07/09/2025: Two Cappuccino 8€. Invoice did not contain any items. Tourist trap. And the cappuccino tasted pretty bad.

20/07/2025: Located in a historic square with swings and tables. In summer, it's cool in the evenings. Affordable bar for that area with fast and friendly waiters.

06/09/2025: Very close to the church, it offers delicious gelato sundaes and an excellent cinnamon cappuccino. The staff is friendly and attentive. If you want to enjoy a delicious gelato while sitting down, near the sea, this is the place to be.

23/10/2025: The location of this restaurant is undoubtedly stunning – which makes it all the more unfortunate that the dining experience didn't live up to it. We each ordered a Parmigiana di melanzane followed by a Tagliatelle funghi. The Parmigiana arrived after a 40-minute wait, without any side dish or bread. Only after asking were we finally handed three slices of toast. The tagliatelle arrived, a second disappointment: a pile of mushy, overcooked pasta. Parmesan is available upon request, but the waiter immediately takes it away. In a country where culinary arts are deeply rooted and food is celebrated with love, tradition, and pride, this experience unfortunately left only bewilderment and disappointment.

27/11/2025: Terrible experience. I'd never been treated like this in a bar. I'd asked for three coffees at the counter and two to go in a small glass bottle, which was intended for the hospital nearby. The owner replied that it wasn't possible to "waste" the bottle (which was empty, too, from a fruit juice) on just two coffees, adding that those were reserved for bricklayers who take at least four or five. I explained that we'd pay five anyway, and even offered to pay for the bottle, but he continued to refuse. At that point, my boyfriend said he didn't want any more coffee, and the owner (faking politeness and, honestly, unsuitable for the role of salesman) continued to argue, almost insinuating that we were the ones who were rude. Despite everything, my father and I had coffee anyway. Moral of the story: a little further on, we found another café, where they kindly prepared two coffees for us in small bottles, and where my boyfriend enjoyed his coffee without any problems. We also noticed that all the construction workers were at that second café, while the "Caffetteria Ruggiero" was completely empty. Who knows why.

Of course, it's not just these, but if you look for "that" flavor, you'll find it unchanged every time. The display changes with the holidays, with the punctuality of the San Martino nougats, the reliability of the mostacciolo al naspro—it couldn't be Christmas without them—with the certainty of the unsurpassed and always fresh almond paste desserts. It's difficult to find the bombarda anywhere else, except at De Pascale, which offers it unchanged and fused with the same timeless aromas. The secret of this pastry shop that has defied trends and remains fully in the tradition and history of Avellino and its Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, lies in the choice to respect the time of memories, with an eye to innovation. A coffee at De Pascale is not just a coffee, but a moment of conviviality. You'll meet Roberto at the house, Francesco, whose advice in the exquisite wine cellar is a true lesson, and Sara and Tiziana, always cheerful, between the workshop and the counter. No less beloved by customers is Teresa, who, with charm, manages even the longest Sunday lines. Some places are best left unchanged, serving as reference points for those who, alone or in company, have stopped there for refreshment.

14/02/2026: The cakes and pastries are of undeniable quality and deliciousness. A special mention goes to the babà, excellent! In my opinion, the coffee could be improved, with a sour, burnt taste.

01/01/2026: The service from the person who takes payments and makes the coffee was terrible. The products weren't great, but they weren't expensive either. However, the person who served me was awful. I asked her to heat my coffee three times, and she refused. This happened on January 1, 2026, at approximately 5 PM.

26/01/2026: One of my favourite spots to go for caffe and cornetto with my husband and dog Ozzy. We don’t speak great Italian (we’re learning!) but everyone is always so kind to us and so nice to Ozzy. The croissants are extremely fresh and tasty. The best in the area. The staff have always given us excellent service and been very warm towards us. ❤️
