11/09/2025: The food was edible but not particularly good. Service was very unfriendly, no good day, and no one asked if the food was good. No wonder there aren't many people here; I came once and never came again. It's a shame, it would be a nice place.

30/08/2025: I need to catch up on yet another review that's been lost for some unknown reason, especially here, which is a must-see for anyone who knows and lives in this area. Ponte Milvio used to be three things: the market (first on the left of the square, then where the parking lot is now, and finally indoors where it is today), Pallotta's for pizza at dinner, and Gianfornaio. Period: three pillars. But that was the Gianfornaio located on the square, on the corner of Via Flaminia... where you'd find ladies in fur coats queuing like housewives... one of the best bakeries in the entire capital. Now Gianfornaio is a brand and you can find it in branches just about everywhere, but it's not the same. The quality of the baked goods has remained medium-high, but the selection has obviously expanded in a location that has made nightlife its cornerstone, and competition has multiplied dramatically. This place is a go-to for many offices in the area, and has therefore also specialized in lunch breaks, although it struggles to handle the sometimes very hefty crowds (for example, for SNA courses or other events). Service is fairly quick and friendly (the weak point remains the cash register, but this is a bit of a constant in Rome), the prices are not low but fairly in line with the local area, and the overall experience remains positive, especially the breakfast portion. I'm a bit nostalgic for the original formula and feel that this aperitivo craze has ruined the typical local dining experience, but Gianfornaio—at least this—remains a resource for those who come here. And let's hope it puts a stop to this globalization that has impoverished what may be an ancient but tried-and-tested formula. Need help? 10/04/2025: The food is delicious, but the service is so slow that one wonders if it was forgotten. Oh~ I really forgot. The roasted vegetables I ordered were completely forgotten. The main dish was not served until the table was cleared.

17/08/2025: One of the worst pizzerias I've ever been to. The pizzas arrived 2 hours after ordering. They should compensate us. They're really poorly organised. If you manage a place like this, you'll close down first. Not to mention the squalid bathroom. The only things that really save the place are the really kind service guys. Not recommended.

29/07/2025: Very quiet and pleasant atmosphere. A quiet evening away from the chaos, enlivened by karaoke entertainment, which featured some truly wonderful singers, and it was a pleasure to dine with their voices in the background. Prices weren't inflated, service was very fast, and parking was excellent. I highly recommend it.

16/08/2025: I didn't try the food. A spritz costs €9.50, and even tap water costs €2. The service, unfortunately, was disappointing: no smile, no "please" or "good morning." The only real added value is the view of the lake, which, however, is certainly not the restaurant's merit.

31/08/2025: Rustic restaurant, live music, and reasonable prices. I've been there several times and have always had a great experience. The waiters are all very friendly and helpful. The pizza is light (I usually don't like pizza, but here it's the opposite). The location is spacious, suitable for both summer and winter, and there's plenty of parking.

14/10/2025: I don't like number because the music is bad and chaotic and then it's made for kids. The over 40s can't go dancing because it's expensive and the music is old and it's all rock and all noise.

05/10/2025: This club should be closed! We came on 19.9, took a train from Rimini just to visit Italian nightclub and ended up disparaged, waiting outside for 3 hours & not let in. There was an event on that day starting at 23:00, so we came at this time and been told by security that we need to wait another hour, that for some reason they will open at midnight. So we waited. They opened at about 00:15 and we started waiting in a line. Some of us were let in, some not. Security guy told us the reason is dress code. (not published anywhere & other people wearing the same without problem) We all were dressed up the same way, so it didn’t make any sense. We were told to take a place in a different line and once all other listed people get inside, they will let us in. (They said all of this in english, able to speak it with no problem). So we waited for another hour. Meanwhile we watched dozens basically half naked girls all let in. They only selected us and another +-10 foreign guys to wait outside. (Many of them formally dressed, just different skin colour…). We kept asking them if we can go in, that we already waited there for hours, but they started pretending that they don’t understand english. “no english, ask other guy” all babbling the same. They kept saying to wait another 30minutes so we can be let in. IT WAS 3:00am when we sent a local guy to try to help us and tell them to let us in. Even this crazy late they told him that we need to wait, and that they will decide later. Never felt this disparaged in our life. They were dealing with us as if we were animals willing to stand still for permission. 3:30 am we decided to leave, disgusted and robbed for the only little time we had there! Later we talked with a few locals and been told that this club only allows rich guys on some list, and then all the girls so these desperate guys can hit on them buying expensive drinks. Also witnessed how racist that security was against other race made us feel very disappointed with this Italy experience. Do not make the same mistake as us ruining your vacation, find a different spot. There is nothing that could possibly excuse this behaviour in European country and the staff should be kicked and not ever be in touch with people!

25/07/2024: The food was nice. Quickly served. Nice atmosphere. We eat out under shades.

15/07/2024: This time I exaggerated, I gave a whole star! The food is less than mediocre, I have no idea what oil they use for cooking, but it is certainly a friend of your cholesterol. The service is worthy of a soup kitchen (sorry for the comparison, but it is certainly better there). The environment is modest, but decorous. The owner is the most rude and rude thing you can imagine, and with your imagination you can't even come close. As for the portions and prices, I'll leave you a surprise if you dare to try it. At the cost of grazing the grass in the meadows I will never go there again.

21/09/2025: We visited a beachside bar in Italy as a group of six gay friends, and unfortunately, we had a very unpleasant experience. When we ordered tequila with salt and lime, the waiter realized we were gay and made a rather offensive remark, saying that “salt and lime is a lady’s thing, not for men.” He then refused to bring the accompaniments we asked for. This kind of attitude is unacceptable and shows a level of prejudice we did not expect to encounter. So here’s a heads-up to other LGBTQIA+ customers looking for a welcoming environment: sadly, this place did not treat us with the respect everyone deserves.

14/09/2025: We used the beach resort in mid-September. (I mention this because it's the best time to enjoy it, being low season and with a reasonable number of people.) 1 umbrella and 2 loungers are €20 or €30 depending on the row. In the front row, sun loungers are available, with sun loungers costing €40. A lounger alone is €5. The resort is new and beautiful, located in a charming bay. The food isn't particularly good, but it's still larger than average for the area, with generous portions and reasonable prices (pucce, frise, salads, burgers, etc., even vegetarian options are €10-12). The food service could be improved, but the quality is good. There's a free beach to the right and left of the resort. Guests have the unfortunate habit of walking between the beach umbrellas to use the resort's amenities, thus creating a lot of traffic. The cleanliness of the facilities—bathrooms, showers, etc.—leaves a lot to be desired, but at least they don't charge you for using them (a practice I've seen elsewhere, despite having used the umbrella and restaurant). The place is truly splendid, well-served, and offers car parking for €5 per day.

02/03/2025: During a stay in Claviere around 3 PM, I stumbled upon the restaurant's window and saw a lovely ambiance and tables set. I found the prices displayed a bit steep, but I figured it was worth it. So I visited the restaurant's website, where I was insistently offered to book online. I was persuaded, filled out the form, and submitted it correctly. I received the booking confirmation by email. I showed up at the agreed-upon time and found it closed. I can only add: even leaving aside the laziness and lack of professionalism, why on earth did they leave the tables set?

30/06/2025: I stopped here once before Castel Sant’Angelo, on Via della Conciliazione. The coffee was okay, probably because they use Illy brand. I had one espresso and one orange juice al banco (no table service), and they charged me €6.90. I still don’t understand how that was calculated. The orange juice wasn’t fresh and the glass was only 2/3 full. But the worst part was the attitude of the two baristas – no hello, no “please”, just a very rude and arrogant way of dealing with people. I’ve honestly never seen a place with so many bad reviews. That made me feel like my experience wasn’t just a one-time thing. Seems like most people are unhappy with the quality and service. The location is amazing, but sadly, like many places near tourist landmarks, they don’t care about quality or customer experience. It feels more like a tourist trap.

14/06/2025: Ordered 1 bruschetta that didn’t have a price, got 2 instead (and charged) then got charged for 2 prossuito and cheese and spent $90 on this crap. The waiter insisted on a tip ina country that doesn’t require tips and got upset when I handed him my change for him standing at the door. Awful service, crap food and wasn’t worth the air conditioning we wanted to pay for. AVOID THIS PLACE PLEASE

13/10/2025: Rudeness is a regular occurrence. The "lady" at the counter is rude, to say the least. Prices triple if you sit at a table. I don't recommend it.

09/09/2025: This place isn't welcoming, even to Italians—their own compatriots. Another lady and I stood in line just to buy a bottle of water, but we waited over five minutes. Meanwhile, the waiters walked back and forth, not even looking at us, as if two customers who just wanted water and not dessert didn't exist. That lady's expression was truly embarrassed, because she had tried several times to get the staff's attention, but no one paid attention to her.
