17/05/2026: A beautiful, well-kept restaurant. Despite the crowds, the seating capacity is enormous, and the service is quite good, although there are some issues with timing. The main courses arrived slowly, and we were forced to eat separately (me and the four people with me). The steamed seafood salad was very good. I recommend it.

16/05/2026: We spent two nights at Hotel da Beppe Sello and overall we really enjoyed our stay 😊 The hotel has a very rustic and cozy charm; the classic wooden style blends perfectly with the surroundings and creates a truly pleasant atmosphere 🪵🏔️ Our room was rather small, but perfectly adequate and clean. One minor point of criticism for us was the mattresses – the firmness was actually quite comfortable, but there was a slight dip in the middle, which caused us to slide around a bit. This wasn't ideal for us in the long run. Due to the ongoing construction in the restaurant area, breakfast was served in a tent. You could really tell that the team was making a great effort to make the best of the situation 🙏 The selection was good and everything was lovingly prepared. Unfortunately, some condensation dripped from the tent roof, but of course, the hotel can't be held responsible for that – we just happened to be there at a slightly unfortunate time. It's also worth mentioning that there are currently several construction sites around the hotel. During the week, it can get a bit noisy in the mornings. A quick note about this when booking would be helpful 😊 Also, it's worth noting that the reception isn't staffed around the clock – this was mentioned 👍 However, the receptionist was sometimes already gone earlier than expected, which unfortunately meant we couldn't ask one of our questions. Aside from that, we had a very pleasant stay. The staff was friendly, the location was great, and we felt very comfortable there overall. We would definitely come back 👍✨

15/05/2026: We were really looking forward to our vacation, but unfortunately, we were bitterly disappointed. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations. At 7:00 a.m., the workers started arguing, so you could tell the whole place was awake. After a while, they calmed down, but the construction noise continued. Instead of the pleasant breakfast room and the nice buffet, there was a tent set up in front of the hotel. It felt like being in a cave. The tables and plates were wet, the buffet was reduced to just one table, the hot dishes were cold, and there was hardly any cold cuts except for one plate of ham. There were some "hard-boiled" eggs, ice-cold and almost completely raw. Our breakfast was completely ruined, so we drove to a grocery store to eat. If the renovations had been mentioned, we would have simply found somewhere else. As it was, it was truly awful!

23/05/2026: The hotel is completely run-down and has seen better days. The floor in the room was extremely dirty. The white carpet was stained with dirt. The bathroom was particularly bad. The shower head was completely rusted and the shower was covered in black mold, even on the walls. We always travel in this price range, but I've never experienced such poor hygiene, even when I was younger and had only booked a guesthouse. I certainly wouldn't book there again. The staff was completely inattentive. No one asked if everything was alright. I definitely wouldn't recommend this hotel.

15/06/2026: It's a nice place to sit and enjoy yourself. The grappa they served was quite good, too.

14/06/2026: The food was truly excellent, and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

31/05/2026: Had a delicious meal for a good price. Spaghetti ala scolio, spaghetti vongole, and grilled brandino are highly recommended. Friendly service on a charming little square.

02/05/2026: Beautiful terrace restaurant overlooking Venice. You don't have to be a hotel guest to eat or drink. Attentive service and a daily and fixed menu are available.

29/06/2026: We've been coming to Venice and the Lido regularly for six years now, and this restaurant remains our favorite! Everything was perfect: the food, the setting, the warm and professional welcome from the staff (who were clearly overwhelmed by the crowds!), and the sommelier! A charming and vibrant personality! A must-try!

21/03/2026: I've eaten here a few times on my lunch break. They're very quick to set you up and serve you. The prices are great, and every time I come here I always go overboard and order a tiramisu because everything is always delicious. 😋

16/05/2026: A very positive experience! The waiter was extremely kind and professional, and we discovered by chance that they offer gluten-free options. The food was incredibly fresh, the fried food was very light, and the portions were generous.

08/05/2026: 8.05.2026. Morning. You need to change a mentality and manners of your waiter who during two minutes very loud mentioned that breakfast costs 50 euro per person. And one time said “five zero from person”. I understand that he's used to serving only old people like himself and for him 50 eur is a lot, but in today's world, even those under 30 have money. And if he were interested in art, I'd give him my autograph on a napkin, which he could sell for more than breakfast at the place where he works. We were upset…

04/04/2026: The pizza was very good, but the cover charge was very high. When we ordered three pizzas to share, they charged €1.50 per pizza to cut them in half. A bit cheeky, otherwise a good experience.

04/04/2026: Service was rather cool and reserved; panna cotta was unavailable again at 7 pm, but the food was excellent.

16/04/2026: Highly recommended... for 30 euros you get two courses with wine and dessert... plus they sing live!

04/07/2026: Everything was exceptional! I had lunch with a group during an organized trip and the menu was delicious, the staff were very kind and helpful, and the outdoor space was well-organized. The location is perfect for groups. I'd say TOP 🔝 Highly recommended.

11/05/2026: Gone are the days when the Gritti served impeccable Martinis. Under intense pressure from the influx of tourists (identifiable by their sweaty polo shirts, sneakers, and sometimes louder voices), the (evidently unbalanced) staff is incredibly pressured between room and table orders. The result: a Martini at the bar with no water on the side (!), with a poor, frantic bartender in front of him who can't—or no longer wants to—have a chat, and—a venial sin for a grand hotel cocktail bar—made with Gordon's gin (!). Bacaro crisps and hazelnuts were served, but no one offered any side dishes. I'm not arguing with the price—personally, I don't even pay that much attention to the bars of grand hotels (of which I'm a huge fan)—but the service and mixology (at least the classics) aren't quite up to par, I'm sorry.
