04/04/2026: Delicious macchiato, delicious cookies, a divine view and atmosphere, especially if you catch the orchestra playing. It's pricey (and very expensive, with an espresso starting at 12 euros), but let's be honest, the experience is worth it!

18/11/2025: My dad and I went to this restaurant on a November afternoon. All the other restaurants in the area were closed due to the off-season, so we decided to try this one, simply because it was open. We travel frequently and have tried many different restaurants and cuisines, and this is honestly one of the worst we've ever been to. The man working there insisted the food was fresh, as if we couldn't tell the difference. Everything was completely bland. The raw salmon tasted like it had been defrosted after sitting in the freezer for too long. No amount of salt or pepper could cover the unmistakable aftertaste of low-quality ingredients. They even said they would close for the season in a few days and were out of stock on most of the menu items—so it's no surprise they weren't investing in fresh ingredients for their final days of opening. Every single thing we ordered ranged from unpalatable to completely flavorless to bitter. But nothing was as bitter as the waiter's attitude. He was incredibly rude. When we went to pay, he handed us the bill without even looking at us—no words, no glances, not even the slightest gesture of kindness or respect. A truly cheerful guy who definitely enhanced the experience. Don't set foot in this place unless your standards are really, really low.

10/10/2025: Best pizza in Malcesine! I had the mascarpone e crudo pizza! It was fantastically good and huge! The service was very friendly. I'm still dreaming about this pizza and looking forward to my next visit.

30/12/2025: Very nice, intimate, and welcoming place! The owner is truly friendly and generous with advice. The fish appetizer was delicious, followed by squid in ink on a bed of excellent white polenta. Well done, we'll definitely remember and return!

20/11/2025: An intimate atmosphere, almost a secret treat, with traditional cuisine but with a contemporary feel. Family-run. The atmosphere makes for a serene yet elegant yet unpretentious treat. Even the staff are part of this special place, a hidden gem.

19/05/2026: We were completely disappointed and absolutely cannot understand the many positive reviews. For the "Fish Platter with King Prawns," I was asked which side dish I would like. Naturally, one assumes that a side dish offered is included. Among the options were fried potatoes – however, we only realized on the bill that these were suddenly charged at an additional €6. This hadn't been mentioned at all beforehand. If a side dish isn't included in the price, this should be clearly communicated. We find this misleading. Even more disappointing: The dish is called "Fish Platter with King Prawns." However, I was served only prawns – no fish. If a dish is described as a fish platter, one expects fish on the plate. Otherwise, the dish should simply be renamed. In my opinion, this is simply setting the wrong expectations for the customer. The fried potatoes themselves unfortunately bore little resemblance to proper fried potatoes – more like small pieces of boiled potatoes, briefly fried in oil, very dry, and without any particular preparation. Overall, the value for money was an absolute disaster. In addition, some of the dishes at our table were missing ingredients that were explicitly stated to be included. When we pointed this out, they initially tried to explain that these ingredients were supposedly already there. Only later were they reluctantly provided. Instead of responding in a customer-oriented manner, we got the impression that our comments were seen as a nuisance. Things got particularly unpleasant afterward: Once the situation was resolved, staff members talked about us behind our backs and gossiped about us—so loudly that it could be heard across several tables. This kind of behavior is completely unprofessional and disrespectful to paying customers. As the evening progressed, the staff became noticeably less friendly. This impression was even reinforced the next day when we happened to walk past the restaurant: One of the waiters pointed at us and was clearly talking about us with a colleague. After the previous day's experiences, this left a very negative impression. We also noticed that almost all the tables around us received a bread basket—except for ours. This might seem like a minor issue on its own, but unfortunately, combined with the rest of the experience, it fits the overall picture. Overall, a very disappointing visit – not just because of the food, but especially because of the way guests were treated. We definitely won't be back.

18/05/2026: I also cannot understand the positive reviews here. The pizza wasn't as ordered; it was missing ingredients listed on the menu. The waiter was very unfriendly and initially claimed everything was fine. Only after pointing it out twice was the pizza finally finished with the missing toppings. The waiters were very loud about it, so the other guests could hear it too. Absolutely not recommended – very unprofessional, especially if you're a family of six and want to eat there. Even two days later, the waiters were making fun of us when we walked by. There are much better ways to spend your money in Bardolino for good food. So, definitely not recommended.

07/12/2025: We ordered the Gran crudo di pesce, which was truly delicious. The fish was incredibly fresh. The atmosphere was refined and the staff were helpful and friendly. The prices were reasonable. Highly recommended!

26/10/2025: We visited this restaurant on Saturday for lunch. The place is dated and has been renovated on a shoestring budget, repainting the chairs and adding cheap decorations to the dining room and walls. The bathroom hasn't been renovated and has cold water. We ordered a first course and a second course: what was called "spaghettoni with scampi" on the menu turned out to be truly disappointing. The dish was very small, maybe 40 grams of regular spaghetti, not even a hint of spaghettoni, almost no seasoning, and three peeled scampi on top. Besides the lack of pasta, there was also no flavor, and even no fish. 20 euros. Our second course was octopus with chickpea cream; we received only one octopus tentacle, maybe 40 grams, maybe less, hard and charred from the grill. Three spoonfuls of tasteless, flavorless chickpea cream, with a few shreds scattered throughout the cream, so when you ate them, you could clearly tell they had just been drained from the jar. 20 euros. Co-pay €3.50 per person, including a crostini with olive pâté, which was the only pleasant note. When we left, we looked at each other and said that after We could have had the appetizer for lunch, so we looked for another restaurant where we were satisfied. Congratulations for Mr. Luciano's response to my review. What he wrote has nothing to do with it.

15/05/2026: We took the ferry from Riva, a nice trip, and spent half a day in Malcesine. We popped in here for a some lunch. A couple of pizzas and some grilled vegetable to share between 4. The food was good as was the service. The only disappointment was the downstairs toilet. The seat was broken and down steep stairs. We found out later that there was another toilet in another part of the restaurant, across the walkway.

10/05/2026: An absolutely disappointing restaurant experience. The beef fillet was initially served cold and, after I complained, came back completely overcooked – dry, tough, and utterly inedible. I've rarely experienced anything like this in a restaurant. Apparently, no one there cares how the food leaves the kitchen. The service was just as bad as the food. The waiter was unfriendly, annoyed, and anything but attentive. Instead of looking after the guests, we felt like we were intruding. The bread was carelessly placed on the table in a bag without a plate – that's more fitting for a fast-food joint than a restaurant with any standards. Overall, a miserable evening: bad food, bad service, and absolutely no welcoming atmosphere. Definitely not a second time.

29/04/2026: Chosen at random among all the lakeside restaurants... everything was superb! Very good pizza, perfectly cooked fish! Service? One of the most professional and friendly ever! The complimentary limoncello was appreciated!

23/12/2025: Tried it by two people on December 6, 2025. The central location is great, but the bar is tiny and has a claustrophobic bathroom located underneath the bar, dangerous and difficult for anyone to reach. The staff is unfriendly. The sandwiches are unmemorable, with little filling and flavor—in short, just so-so. The glasses of Prosecco were mediocre, rather sparse. Last but not least, the price: two sandwiches and two Proseccos cost a whopping €15, definitely excessive. Bassano is beautiful, but we won't be returning.

06/07/2026: We really like the place and the food both, thank you for the kind service. Turkish tourists can sit comfortably here 💃🏽 When we said we don't eat pork, they brought the meat they would put on the pizza beforehand to make sure it wasn't pork, they were very kind 😊

06/07/2026: I really liked that the young female staff member was kind and friendly. Since I am a foreigner, I had to communicate in English, but she understood me perfectly and responded well, which was great. The food was delicious as well. It was a bit hot inside, perhaps because there was no air conditioning like in Korea, but the atmosphere was nice, and the restroom was clean and good.
