Ristorante Il Pino
Praiano
07/01/2026: The best food we had in all of Italy!
We dined in amazing restaurants across Rome, Venice, Naples, and Positano—but this was our favorite by far. We loved it so much we had lunch here on our first day in Praiano, I came back the next day for their cooking class (which I absolutely loved!), and we ended our stay with dinner on our last night—it was that good.
Simone, who runs the restaurant and teaches the classes, is the best in every sense of the word. His warmth, passion, and attention to detail truly elevate the entire experience. Add in the beautiful view, and you have an unforgettable meal.
Authentic Italian cuisine, top-quality ingredients, and heart in every dish—just go!
Ps: I’m gluten free and they have the best gluten free pasta ever!!!
05/11/2025: Best meal and experience on the coast! So thankful we were told to try this spot by our driver from our hotel (Piccolo Sant’Andrea). My fish dish was AMAZING! Being sung to was AMAZING! We just had the best time ever. Can’t wait to come back someday!

Donna Rosa il Ristorante
Positano
20/12/2025: Limited flexibility in editing the food items which is standard in italy but they were very kind to us as we are vegetarian. They made us Gnocchi sorrentino and it was the best italian dish I may have had in my whole life. Ate it twice in a 3-4 day stay in positano. Honestly if you are vegetarian the dish will not disappoint it is hands down created for the gods. So fantastic! The tomato sauce and the basil really shine through the dish, it is truly something special! Beautiful family! Cheers to the chef making such an extraordinary dish, yet so simple. I refuse to eat Gnocchi anywhere else because I don’t want to be disappointed. Truly hand crafted!
30/10/2025: Excellent!! Stopped in after path of gods hike!! Coming back for dinner later in the week

Al Ristoro del Moro
Ravello
10/11/2025: Wonderful visit, fantastic service, the best pasta I’ve ever tasted!!
12/10/2025: A delicious discovery by chance. It deserves 5 stars overall. Kudos to the food, the beautiful location, and the extremely friendly service. Since I'm allergic to almonds, they kindly offered me a slice of their homemade pastiera, which was spectacular.
Above all, it's important to emphasize that this isn't a touristy place. And the view...well, it speaks for itself. Kudos to the management.

Il Tridente
Positano
05/12/2025: Best place on our stop to Postitano. Great views, food and service! Get ready for an uphill hike, we were gassed! But it was well worth it!
05/12/2025: We were guests at Hotel Poseidon and made a reservation at Il Tridente expecting a safe, professional dining experience. Instead, my family endured an incident that could have killed my son, paired with some of the worst behavior I have ever witnessed from a manager in hospitality.
We clearly informed the staff that my son has a nut allergy. Despite this, they placed a starter breadbasket on our table with no explanation whatsoever—and it contained nuts. My son took a bite, unknowingly. Only 20 minutes later did a waiter return with a “nut-free” basket and admit the first one had nuts. We had not been told, warned, or advised at any point.
I raced up the entire property—multiple elevators and several flights of stairs—to grab his emergency medication. Anyone familiar with allergies knows that within minutes, this mistake could have become deadly. My son’s life was put at risk because the staff failed one of the most basic responsibilities of a restaurant.
But what made this experience truly appalling was the manager. His behavior was not just unprofessional—it was shockingly rude, dismissive, defensive, and outright hostile. As I explained what had happened, he repeatedly cut me off, raised his voice, and insisted his staff “would never” make such an error. He acted as if I was the problem for daring to bring up a life-threatening mistake.
The waiter himself then stepped in and admitted the truth, proving the manager wrong. Even after being confronted with the facts, the manager still showed zero remorse. No apology. No concern. No accountability. Not even basic human decency while I was shaking and trying to ensure my son was safe. His attitude added a level of emotional distress that was completely unnecessary during an already terrifying situation.
For a restaurant positioned as fine dining, this was an absolute disgrace. Mistakes can happen—but the way management chooses to handle them reveals everything about an establishment. And this manager showed a level of arrogance and indifference that is completely unacceptable in any setting, let alone one where guests’ lives are at stake.
I will never return, and I strongly warn any family with food allergies—or anyone who expects even minimal respect or compassion—to avoid this restaurant entirely. No parent should have to fight with a manager while fearing for their child’s safety.

Al Limoneto
Vietri sul mare
09/03/2026: We went to Il Limoneto Restaurant in Vietri sul Mare with a very large group (over 50 people) and had made a reservation. The restaurant was packed, and the wait was quite long. The atmosphere was very noisy, and with so many people, we were a bit crowded at the tables.
As for lunch, however, there was nothing to complain about: the food was good and plentiful. Overall, a good experience, even if a bit chaotic.
01/03/2026: A lovely, family-friendly atmosphere: lunch under a lemon grove.
Sure, the view isn't the best, but you won't even think about it when you're dining with beautiful lemons and the delicious aromas surrounding you.
Worth a visit at least once... and a return visit, too.

Casa e Bottega
Positano
15/12/2025: Casa e Bottega truly impressed us with their impeccable service. We stopped in last minute needing a quick breakfast before catching our ferry, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of.
The space itself is beautiful — filled with greenery and well-cared-for plants, with a cute, relaxed vibe that immediately makes you want to stay longer. It’s the kind of place where you’d love to slowly enjoy breakfast and sip coffee without a rush.
Even though we were short on time, the ladies made sure our food came out quickly so we could eat comfortably and still make our ferry. The service was excellent, and the food and coffee were both great.
Would absolutely come back and spend more time here next visit.
12/12/2025: From the moment we walked in I loved this place. It had such a warm, peaceful, friendly atmosphere and decoration. I can’t say enough about how welcoming they were for our dog. Then the food came… So delicious. It started with the beautiful meatballs that melted in our mouth. And then the crêpes, ravioli, and the gorgeous local dessert, sbriciolata cake was the cherry on the top. And they was open in December when so many other places are closed, I can’t recommend this place enough..

Hotel Scapolatiello
Vietri sul mare
05/01/2026: Very friendly and helpful staff, entrance difficult to access by car due to a very narrow passage between the houses (but there is a large closed parking lot 150 meters away)
28/12/2025: We spent Christmas with our 5-year old in this great little hotel hidden away from the busy town centre of Cava de Tirreni. The room isn't full luxury, a little dated, but it has a lot of personalities. The views from the hotel are stuning.
Staff members are super nice and very accommodating, nothing seem a bother.
Located behind it is a rather big (late 1300s) cathedral - Territorial Abbey of La Trinità della Cava. This is a "must-see" if you stay at the hotel. I was blown away by the interior of the church as it didn't seem to be much from the outside. It's a lot (a LOT) bigger on the inside. There are guide tours available at price of 3€ to see more than just a main church.
One thing to note is that, in case you decided to drive, it's quite a challenging journey. The road is small and windy, loads of blind corners, unless you're familiar with all the streets, or a seasoned Italian driver, I'd recommend to avoid it. There is a local bus (No. 61) that will take you from the hotel to Cava town centre. We had to organise daily taxi pick-up and drop-off from/to the hotel due to Christmas period. But was easy enough to do via WhatsApp messages.
You may also want to do a day trip in Pompei while youre here. It's easy to get to by train from the Cava station. And Salerno is only 2 stops away the other direction.
