Ristorante Il Pino was one of the highlights of our trip to the Amalfi Coast. We had lunch on our first day in Praiano, and the views alone are worth the visit. The grilled octopus over risotto was one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. The seafood pasta was incredibly fresh, and the sauce was so delicious, you’ll want to sop up every last drop with fresh bread. The Hugo Spritz was phenomenal, and the service was warm, attentive, and impeccable. Caterina and the entire staff made us feel truly welcome. We returned 2 days later for their cooking class, and it exceeded every expectation. Simone and Chef Mariano guided us through ricotta-stuffed zucchini flowers, an authentic eggplant Parmigiana, fresh handmade pasta, and a tiramisu we’ll never forget. The class was fun, interactive, and ended with a delicious meal we prepared ourselves. Everything reflected authentic Italian hospitality, and genuine passion for food. I’d absolutely return to Praiano just to do this again. Highly recommended without hesitation. 5 stars.

A very beautiful restaurant with a view of the sea and Positano. The staff was extremely courteous and made us feel at home. The food is simply superb. We had dinner for two and had stuffed squid as an appetizer and two pasta dishes (scialatielli and fidanzati). Authentic flavors, the kind you don't have to strain to taste. Mr. Antonio roams the restaurant and entertains customers with great charm. Outstanding limoncello and meloncello are offered at the end of the meal. Not to be missed.

One of the best meals we had on our Italian vacation, from Venice to Rome to the Amalfi coast. Very welcoming and friendly service and the flavors were amazing. I only wish we had dishes like these in the US. The view is also beautiful.

It was my first time there, and I was won over not only by the location with its stunning view, but also by the dishes prepared with love, the unique flavors, and the quality of each dish, so much so that you could taste that everything was fresh. The friendly and helpful staff explained each dish to you. Simone's professionalism and the kindness with which he welcomed you, along with Uncle Antonio's warmth, won me over, and I can't wait to return. You made me feel at home.

Il Pino will forever hold a special place in our hearts. My partner and I got engaged today on a boat in Capri, and there was only one place we wanted to celebrate—back at Il Pino with Antonio and his amazing team. We had dined here just three days earlier, and from the moment we walked in, everyone made us feel like we’d known them for years. We even ran into Antonio having a coffee in Amalfi, and when we stopped to say hello, he recognised us straight away. It was such a simple moment, but it made us feel so special. Antonio is the definition of a perfect host. His singing, energy, and genuine warmth create an atmosphere you simply can’t find anywhere else. The entire team treats you like family, not just customers. The food was absolutely incredible. Every dish was authentic, full of flavour, and made with the love and care of a true Italian family. It felt like sitting around the table in someone’s home rather than eating in a restaurant, and that’s what made it so special. We’ll always remember celebrating one of the happiest days of our lives here. Thank you, Antonio and the entire Il Pino family, for making us feel so welcome. We can’t wait to come back. ❤️

We came across this restaurant by chance and decided to give it a try based on its strong Google Maps rating. Unfortunately, our experience didn’t quite match the expectations set by those reviews. The atmosphere is pleasant and the setting is enjoyable, making it a nice place to sit and spend some time. However, the food lacked the flavor and character we were hoping for, with most dishes feeling fairly underwhelming. The service was also quite inattentive, and it often felt difficult to get assistance when needed. Overall, it wasn’t a bad experience, but it certainly didn’t live up to the high ratings that led us here. There are likely stronger options in the area for both food and service.
