25/03/2024: The experience at this restaurant was truly extraordinary. It's not the first time I've come here, but it's the first time I've decided to share my opinion. When I'm undecided about where to go and I want to be sure I'm making the right choice, this place is always my safety. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and the owners really make you feel at ease. The menu offers a wide range of dishes, both creative and gourmet and more traditional and simple. This evening we tried some exceptional appetizers, followed by two first courses that literally won us over. And as for the atmosphere, the restaurant is located right on the beach front, making it a first-class choice for those who love fresh seafood. It is no surprise that it is considered one of the best restaurants in Sorrento.

02/01/2024: Atmosphere and service was fantastic. The employees were friendly and helpful. The food however was a complete disappointment. Everything we had was bland and very subpar. As tourists we were recommended this place by a local and ended up leaving with a big bill and very disappointed. If you’re a tourist in the area stick to Porto Marina (very good) or one of the other restaurants and save yourself a very expensive subpar meal.

05/04/2024: Just experienced the gran tasting menu of Il Buco with the wine pairing. Can easily say it is the best meal either of us have ever had, and the staff were exemplary. At regular points not only did the waiters, but the head chef himself came to check on us. The food itself was to the highest standard. With the wine it carried us through a journey all over Italy - particular highlights were the gnocchi, fish tartar and the deserts.

05/04/2024: Me and my partner had the 10 course tasting menu. As someone who has previously eaten at the Eiffel tower and the Shard, I genuinely cannot describe how absolutely amazing the food was in comparison. The staff was brilliant too, as they were very attentive and we didn't feel pressured at all into leaving quickly, even though our long menu did make us leave after the opening hours. They even helped us to get a taxi and we got to try the chef's own limoncello, which was absolutely brilliant. This is definitely a place I would come back to. It was the best meal and experience I've ever had.

03/04/2024: In the historic part of Naples, a nice place with unusual but certainly pleasant and appreciated cuisine. Fair price. Friendly and smiling staff.

22/10/2023: One of the best restaurants we have ever been to. The service was incredible truly top notch and the food was amazing. Definitely an experience worth having if you get the chance!

29/03/2024: Rustic atmosphere, one of the best places I've eaten in recent times. Excellent cellar, they brought us about ten starters, one better than the other, quick and courteous service. I'll be back.

27/02/2024: Let's start from the assumption that a "no" evening can happen to everyone... even in the best families. In my opinion it happened the other night at Leo's hideout. I made a mistake in "letting it go" to the staff at my guest's suggestion. The only positive note is the wine, chosen by my guest and whose cost I don't know. Therefore, if you want to feel good, don't rely on the proposals of the young waiter, a relative of the owner who has an interest, choose the dishes on the menu and strictly ignore the appetizers he offers you...they increase the bill and your blood sugar. Unfortunately, the first course, the Genoese, for which the place is said to be famous, also disappointed, the tasting was so indigestible that I had the rest of the dish taken away... I almost never do this; the burnt taste was pungent, a circumstance which was politely reported to the "waiter" who ignored the observation at the time of the bill and included the amount in the sum. The other taste I found only creamy. I will return, hoping that whoever takes care of the kitchen, in addition to the spectacularly beautiful and appreciated plating of the appetizers, takes care of the substance and goodness of the dishes offered. For the homemade tiramisu I advise you to leave it alone, it is not advisable. Evening ended with a digestive herbal tea which allowed only a few hours of sleep.

13/10/2023: When we visited Sorrento for a week we ate in several restaurants, and this was our joint-favourite. We arrived for dinner just before sunset and the staff kindly found the best spot for us to sit and enjoy our aperitifs while watching the sun go down next to the island of Ischia. It was all very lovely. We then moved onto the main terrace with a magical twilight view of the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius for the meal proper. We both chose sea bass to start and then macaroons and chocolate mousse respectively for dessert. Everything was delicious and served with great care and courtesy. There was a pleasant relaxed atmosphere on the terrace – a welcome contrast to some of the busy restaurants we tried in the old town. We were staying nearby and could walk to and from the Grand Hotel Aminta from our hotel, but it would certainly be worth taking the shuttle bus up to Hotel Aminta from the town to experience the food, the service and the view.

03/10/2023: Ok. So we reserved for the amazing outdoor terrace with the incredible view overlooking the Sorrento coast. Unfortunately, it was a cold and rainy day and we couldn’t eat on the terrace, which would have been amazing. Instead, we were inside in the ballroom, which was a different kind of entertaining evening. First of all, the staff was fantastic. Super attentive and professional, dressed in white coats and black bow ties, extremely formal. The decor of the ballroom, along with the staff dress code gives the impression of going back in time. We thought we were in Italy’s version of the 1950’s country club in the Catskills. There was a little dance entertainment that was a bit simplistic and almost comical. That being said, the food was great. We both really enjoyed our dinner and found the setting adorable and amusing. Now if we had been outside, the formally dressed waitstaff serving us wonderful food overlooking the Sorrento coastline would have been gorgeous and romantic.

17/02/2024: Simple location but with many qualities to discover. We tasted platter and fondue with mushrooms (sublime) and as a first course the pasta with wild boar ragout. Everything truly delicious. We will definitely be back!

15/03/2024: io e il mio fidanzato tornati da un viaggio a parigi cercavamo una fonduta da gustare anche nella nostra città, direi che è stata più che soddisfacente, un personale accogliente è anche quella cosa in più che ti fa dire: “tornerò!” Lo terremo a mente e sicuramente appunto torneremo il più presto possibile, buonissimi anche gli antipasti. PREZZI OTTIMI!

10/03/2024: Piccolo locale arredato in stile Indiano. A causa della mia intolleranza al lattosio non ho potuto mangiare la fonduta, evidentemente l’unico pezzo forte del posto. Abbiamo ordinato 4 filetti e ne avevano solo uno, tra l’altro immangiabile perché durissimo e pieno di nervi. Consiglio di aggiornare il menù e di rivedere il servizio.

04/03/2024: Delicious dishes and particular combinations with the raw material which is a super mozzarella. The dessert, the salted caramel cheesecake was divine! The owner's welcome is worth highlighting!

24/02/2024: Very nice place on the seafront for the place, but the place is not. We sit down and waited a bit just to order, even though there weren't many people. Most of the dishes are mozzarella based but nothing exceptional. I had meatballs with sauce which were mini bon bons served in an even smaller plate than usual, pasta with milk and pepper cream which was at least two forkfuls. Good but I wasn't crazy about it also because the bill was too expensive and with small portions.

28/01/2024: Amando i ristoranti di cucina creativa, ho prenotato questo ristorante un pò prevenuto. Ero alla ricerca di una location con una bella vista sul mare, per sfruttare la bella giornata di gennaio, ma sono partito da Napoli con il timore di una cucina troppo turistica. La location si trova a 10 min di auto da Sorrento con una bella vista sulla costiera sorrentina, le maioliche dello stesso colore del mare. Il ristorante, al piano rialzato di un hotel 4 stelle, ha un'aria un pò anni 80, ma non appena si entra l'accoglienza è molto cortese, il nostro tavolo è di fronte alla vetrata con una bella vista sul mare. Abbiamo ordinato una bottiglia di Furore bianco di Marisa Cuomo (34€). Dalla cucina: -antipasto misto di verdure alla griglia, semplice ma molto ricco -panzerotti e frittelle offerte dalla proprietà insieme ad un casatiello -calamaretti freschi fritti ottimi (voto 8) -Linguine alla rana pescatrice, saporite ma troppo olio nel piatto (voto 6.5) -Linguine al pomodoro fresco, semplici, gustose e fresche (voto 8) -Zuppa inglese, buonissima, forse un pò troppo zuccherosa (voto 8) -Tiramisu classico ottimo (voto 8) -Servizio (voto 10) professionale, simpatico e competente -Rapporto qualità-prezzo (voto 9) : 111€ spesi ottimamente per locatione e cibo. Non essendo un mangione avrei preferito quantità più contenute e più cura nell'impiattamento. Per concludere : cucina semplicissima , ingredienti ottimi, alcune imperfezioni nella preparazione, ma una vista superba e un rapporto qualità prezzo molto conveniente.

17/10/2023: Food was excellent, portions large, friendly staff. Had the Zuppa de Pesce, one off my favorites. Atmosphere is quite nice, although I was there in the evening so no view of the water.

10/11/2023: Seaside restaurant with refined ambience. The selected ingredients, the friendly and customer-focused staff, the excellent cellar, the traditional Ischia desserts make this restaurant my favourite...see you next time and keep it up, great. Antonella

23/03/2024: We love it! The place was lovely and soo romentic. Meat and fried octopus,calamar, shrips was amaaazing. Half litre homemade wine and 2 main course was cost 59€.
