Lovely spot at the grande marina; worth the walk down and back up again. I choose the pasta of the day: handmade crab ravioli. I think it was the best and most interesting ravioli I have ever had; 5 stars!

What a wonderful place. 7 night stay in Marina Grande and we ate here 3 times. Great food, beautifully prepared fish dishes. Crab ravioli, sea bass au gratin. Red snapper, and the fried fish fish, just too much to eat. Staff were top of the game. Not over priced. The setting watching the sun go down is just wonderful. And a big shout out to Nina who really did look after us. If I say 97 then hopefully she will remember us. Ice cold Limoncello to finish, simply the best. You can enjoy excellent seafood just a few meters from the beach in Marina Grande di Sorrento. Service is friendly and reasonably fast. It's best to park in a paid parking garage in the upper part of Sorrento (about €3-4 per hour on average) and then walk down Via del Mare or take a flight of steps from the historic center.

Located right in the heart of Marina Grande along the Sorrento coast, this spot is a must-visit. A word of advice: don’t try to drive here. Parking is a headache, so it’s much better to arrive on foot. We parked near the cathedral—there are plenty of lots there—and the walk down to the marina is incredibly scenic and entertaining. The restaurant has a charming, unpretentious "fisherman’s wharf" feel. Don't expect anything fancy; it’s all about wooden tables and chairs topped with classic blue-and-white checkered tablecloths. It feels authentic and welcoming. The menu highlights fresh, local flavors. Here is what we enjoyed: - Antipasto Misto di Mare (€24): A fresh combination of salmon, white fish, prawns, calamari, octopus, and scallops, all beautifully marinated in olive oil and lemon. - Risotto alla Pescatora (€56 for two): This was the star of the show. A classic, creamy Arborio rice risotto packed with mussels, clams, squid, and shrimp. It was cooked in a rich fish broth with white wine, garlic, and a hint of saffron. Honestly, it was "OMG" delicious. - Delizia al Limone (€8): For dessert, we had this dome-shaped sponge cake soaked in limoncello syrup and coated in a rich lemon custard. Made with local Amalfi lemons, it wasn't overly sweet and tasted incredibly fresh. Combined with some wine and limoncello, our total came to €128. Between the views on the walk down and the quality of the seafood, this is an area you have to visit. I would definitely return to this restaurant next time I'm in Sorrento!

Taverna Azzurra is a really nice spot with a great atmosphere, especially if you manage to get a table facing the sea. At sunset, the view is absolutely beautiful and really makes the experience, proper relaxing and easily the highlight of the visit. We had a pizza, and it was genuinely good, tasty, and well made. The service was friendly and efficient without being overbearing. One thing to note is the tipping situation. They do ask for a tip at the end, which some people might find a bit forward, especially as there’s already a cover charge added. A tip should always be optional in my view something you give if you want to, based on the service, not something you feel pushed into. That said, I’ve seen a lot of reviews mention the same thing, so it seems like it’s just part of how they operate there rather than anything unusual.

This was one of the highlights of our visit to Sorrento! We had lunch at an outdoor table right by the beach with a great view of Marina Grande. I had a perfectly prepared grilled sea bass, and my wife had the daily special which was also delicious, hand-made crab ravioli with a shrimp sauce.

A great little gem, located right on the beach of the Marina Grande! Dishes were freshly made, by hand, using local ingredients - the crab ravioli was particularly delicious! Wine is served by carafe which is much better than by the glass, and the staff were all extremely helpful. Atmosphere was on the whole great - great views of the marina and across to Vesuvius, charming crockery unique to the restaurant etc - music could have been turned down a notch/not involve an accordion.

What can we say about Taverna Azzurra. Amazing service, staff are super friendly & can't do enough for you. We've had 2 trips to Sorrento in the past 6 months & have spent majority of our meals at Taverna Azzurra. Truly a hidden gem 💎 Alex, Miguele, Genarro and the rest of the team have made our time there, we've booked our wedding and have planned our guests to have a night here. Food is fresh, really tasty and nothing is to much trouble.
