Baobab
Milano
30/07/2024: Excellent lunch, with typical products. Unbeatable service, they gave us very good advice on the choice of dishes

Ristorante Hdmona
Milano
21/08/2024: Yesterday, I had the worst experience at a this restaurant. I was looking for an Ethiopian restaurant and found this place on Google. My friend and I decided to go there. When we arrived, there were 3-4 people sitting outside. As we opened the door to go inside, one of the women outside spoke to us in Tigrigna and asked where we were going. I told her we were heading inside and asked if the restaurant was closed. She then asked her friend where we were from, and after finding out we were Ethiopians, she told us the restaurant was closed, even though it was clearly open.
This situation left us feeling embarrassed because we've never experienced such tension between Ethiopians and Eritreans before. I never even considered our countries as different in that way. This woman's behavior really ruined my day. At first, I was upset, but then I thought that maybe she was trying to run her business with a certain mindset. However, even if someone has prejudices, they should keep them to themselves. Once you open a restaurant and start serving the public, it’s important to understand that your establishment is for everyone, and personal biases should have no place there.
21/08/2024: I had a very unpleasant experience at this restaurant, primarily due to the rude and unwelcoming attitude of the staff. From the moment we walked in, we were met with cold stares and a complete lack of hospitality. It felt like we were an inconvenience rather than paying customers. The staff made no effort to be friendly or accommodating and told us we are not welcome there and any requests we made were met with sighs and eye rolls. The overall atmosphere was tense and uncomfortable, completely ruining what should have been an enjoyable meal. It's clear that customer service is not a priority here, and I would strongly advise against dining at this establishment if you expect to be treated with basic respect and courtesy.I recommand african resturant wich serve good ethiopian and ertiran food.

Adulis Restaurant
Milano
01/07/2024: Very nice atmosphere, friendly and helpful service.
Unfortunately, however, all 7 people in our group had serious intestinal problems the next day. Between medical guard and Imodium. It must have been bad luck, the 'piadina' (or bread, whatever you want to call it) was actually very sour and the only two people who had already been in the restaurant didn't remember it that way. Be careful. The rest was very good.
17/06/2024: Adulis in via Melzo offers an immersion in Eritrean cuisine. The environment is refined and the atmosphere welcoming.
Standing out on the menu are the sambussa, small triangles of fried dough stuffed (meat or lentils) with just the right amount of spiciness. Among the main dishes, the chicken Zighini and the white Kilwa are delicate, while the gored-gored is decidedly more intense.
Unfortunately the meat was not always soft and in some cases a little too fatty. Also, pay attention to the bill: we found ourselves charged for dishes and drinks not ordered.
Overall, Adulis is a must-try place for an Eritrean dining experience in Milan. Recommended for those who appreciate strong and spicy flavours. However, the quality of the meat and the accuracy of the bill could be improved.

Le Petit Senegal
Milano
16/03/2024: Homemade Senegalese cuisine absolutely worth trying in a welcoming, familiar and always clean and tidy environment.
I couldn't give advice on the dishes because I found them all very good....
...perhaps for the first time I would recommend the Thiebou Djeune, a single dish with rice, vegetables and fish. 🤩
Ps: I add photos of the times. Open for dinner only Friday and Saturday
16/03/2024: Excellent food, unusual and pleasant flavours, generous if not exaggerated portions, almost too modest prices, clean environment, friendly staff. We will return and recommend

Warsa
Milano
24/07/2024: Ho cenato qui dapprima da sola e poi ci sono tornata con un collega.
Cibo per me ottimo.
22/07/2024: Mijn favoriete Ethiopische/Eritreese restaurant staat in Amsterdam. Maar deze komt binnen op plek twee (een Hamburgse Ethiopiër verschuift naar drie) en ik heb er al veel geprobeerd. Verrukkelijk eten en zeer aardige, gastvrije bediening.

Dibi 221
Milano
18/08/2024: An authentic and welcoming experience just a few minutes from the center of Milan
If you are looking for an authentic dining experience, this African restaurant on via Palmanova 143 is a must-see. It stands out not only for the quality of the food, but also for the seriousness in respecting opening hours and telephone availability, an aspect that is not always obvious.
The staff are extremely friendly and respectful, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at home. Despite the small size of the restaurant, the environment is always clean and tidy, a sign of scrupulous attention to detail.
The location is convenient and easily accessible by public transport, and for those arriving by car, there is the possibility of parking along the road without too many problems.
But the real protagonist here is the cuisine: authentic and original dishes that bring the flavors and traditions of Africa to the table. Each course is a sensorial journey, prepared with fresh ingredients and served with care.
I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to try a unique and genuine gastronomic experience. A small corner of Africa in Milan that is really worth visiting.
15/08/2024: The atmosphere (beautiful decoration symbolizing mother Africa en Senegal) was artistic and mesmerizing, the owners are very friendly that took their time to explain the options to us and the food and drinks where very very nice. The thieboudienne en the karkadeh specifically tastes very nicely.
