Baobab In Milano

Anytime I get a chance to support an African, Caribbean, or Black owned business, I make an effort to enjoy its service and hopefully sing its praises. Thankfully Ristorante Baobab did not let me down. I made a reservation for 1930 for my wife and I, which I'm glad we did, without twenty minutes of us receiving our orders of Dibi (Lamb), the restaurant started to fill up with hungry guests. This restaurant has a welcoming family feel which I found quite charming. If you have the chance to check out this restaurant brush up on your Italian and enjoy.

I gave the service three stars only because we waited an hour for one dish, but otherwise it was a wonderful discovery!!! I highly recommend it.

I've been there three times. Nice and clean place, very good food, excellent service and atmosphere. I'm no expert, but the fact that it's frequented by many Africans makes me think it's not only good, but also authentic.

Four of us dined here to celebrate my daughter's birthday, as she'd been there before. The place was small, simple, but charming. The ladies serving us were very kind, and the food was truly delicious and plentiful. It was a shame that many dishes—including the Mafe—were already sold out by 9:00 PM, and the wait was truly exorbitant. We were seated at 9:00 PM, and the main courses arrived well after 10:30 PM.

Affordable African dishes during the day and a warm welcome

The food is delicious, I recommend trying Bissap (a hibiscus drink)! Be warned, they don't have all the options on the menu.

I ate there with my husband. The food was good, but our meal got cold because I had to wait for my husband's order. When my husband's dish arrived, one of his chicken legs wasn't whole, as if it had been repurposed. I asked for cutlery for my chicken, and they practically threw the knife and fork at me. It's a shame, after paying €20 for a taxi just to get to Baobab. I'm disappointed and ashamed because my husband isn't Senegalese like me. You need to review the welcome and service. Best of luck!
