17/07/2026: Good beer bar. Friendly and prompt service. Nice atmosphere. A fairly extensive menu and generous portions. Oval pizza. Not exactly entry-level, but worth a try.

06/08/2026: We went in and it said "air conditioned." It was unbearable to stay inside in the constant 40 degrees. We waited 1.5 hours for our dishes after several errors. Some of the food was good, others were too much to stomach. We'll never go back.

07/07/2026: Highly recommended restaurant; the seafood dishes are excellent. I had the fregola allo scoglio, the swordfish rolls, and a portion of grilled vegetables. All three dishes were meticulously prepared and presented. I also really enjoyed the carasau bread, which they offered. The place is very charming, and the staff is very courteous and polite.
I'm very satisfied; I'll definitely be back. Thank you for everything, and see you next time.
05/07/2026: Suffice it to say that since we discovered it, unfortunately near the end of our holiday, we've been there 4 times. The staff are incredibly friendly, the food is truly top-notch, and the prices are super fair.
Glad to have discovered you.

17/07/2026: We were a group of more than 10 people, and they seated us outside the restaurant, on a nearby sloping street, which meant that both the tables and chairs were uneven.
The street, just a few meters from the restaurant, even crossed a pedestrian crossing, which was rather unhygienic when carrying the food to the table.
The pizza, while tasty, was rather small compared to many other restaurants, and it was also more expensive. Additionally, when we went to order dessert, they only had a couple of options available (one of them with only one serving), and even then, there weren't enough desserts per person for everyone in our group.

19/01/2024: Eravamo in 7, l'ambiente è molto piacevole, il servizio è di qualità a cominciare dall'apparecchhiatura (menù ben tenuti) Valentino molto attento alle nostre esigenze. Abbiamo mangiato delle ottime pizze ma il menù prometteva altre gustose pietanze. Consiglio di provare

07/04/2025: Semplice trattoria sarda , ma dai contenuti importanti. Abbiamo mangiato antipasto e primi di pesce. Polipo , gamberi alla catalana e spaghetti vongole bottarga.
Tutto eccellente.

15/02/2025: Approdato per pranzo all’Ancora il 15/02 con i miei quattro compagni di viaggio, siamo stati accolti con professionalità e calore da Gualberto e Mirella, un vero equipaggio di sala, che ci ha subito messi a nostro agio con un delizioso aperitivo 🥂 mentre esploravamo il ricco menu di mare 🦞🐟.
Per restare in tema nautico, ci siamo lasciati trasportare con maestria dallo chef Marco, che ha saputo guidarci tra onde di sapori raffinati 🌊. Abbiamo veleggiato tra primi piatti irresistibili come arselle, vongole, mazzancolle e fregola con bottarga 🍝, per poi tuffarci nel gusto con aragostine, totani ripieni, pesce spada, tonno, calamari e astice 🦑🐠, piatti che meritano davvero un applauso 👏.
A coronare questa traversata gastronomica, gli squisiti dolci della casa 🍰, accompagnati da ottimo vino 🍷 e un sorso di autentico liquore sardo 🥃.
Un’esperienza gustosa e indimenticabile, in un ambiente curato e accogliente, dove passione per la cucina e attenzione al cliente fanno davvero la differenza! 😍🔥

09/08/2026: The restaurant's breathtaking location is superb, overlooking the church in the small square in the heart of Iglesias' old town. With dishes like fregola, dorado, and other seafood, "Villa di Chiesa" perfectly represents Sardinian cuisine. I couldn't find a single negative point. Making a reservation is always a good idea, as the restaurant is usually very busy, and deservedly so.
07/08/2026: The service was terrible: they didn't even bring the drinks on time and served all the dishes except one, which arrived another 20 minutes late. To make matters worse, they took forever to bring the bill and didn't even have the decency to offer the delayed drink or dish; they showed no sign of any kindness or sense of responsibility, which says a lot about them.

15/07/2026: Excellent dishes, but we had little doubt about that... actually, none. The added value of this restaurant is the wait staff: young, super-efficient, and professional, whose kindness and courtesy aren't just superficial, but, in my opinion, stem from a desire to do their job well. This world still has hope! Back to the menu....Fregola with shellfish....amazing!
15/07/2026: This upscale restaurant isn't exactly suited to a quick bite, but it's a great place to enjoy authentic fresh seafood and top-notch dishes. Definitely worth a try.

21/05/2026: Excellent dinner! Over ten fish and seafood appetizers, and—unsurprisingly, even in Sardinia—the food was incredibly fresh, carefully cooked, and bursting with flavor! The owner, Dante, ensures impeccable service and management. Even though we hadn't booked, there were two of us, they quickly found us a table (not a makeshift one) and served us promptly. Finally, I must emphasize the excellent value for money.
09/04/2026: They really do everything for me and my group, from pasta dishes to pizza, the selection was excellent! I highly recommend it.

18/07/2026: The quality of the products wasn't great in my opinion, and it seems to me that the dough has changed; in 2025 the pizza was very thin and crispy, which is no longer the case this summer.
