31/05/2025: Good morning, the place is beautiful, clean, quiet, table set with simplicity, clean tablecloths, very nice service; the food is well prepared, the cook, Stefania, is good, she used local ingredients, she was very kind even in worrying about replacing the meat in the dishes prepared, I thank you for the consideration shown towards me; if you like to have dinner or lunch in a flower garden this is your place. Pay attention to the sign that indicates it: in this period with so much vegetation it is a bit difficult to see it; good food to everyone!
09/05/2025: I have lived in Occhieppo Inferiore since I was born, but I had never come to the Taverna del Gufo. What have I missed over the years!
The place is very, very welcoming and immediately gives off an extremely familiar and comfortable atmosphere.
Top and high level service, the waiters are very trained and competent.
The quality of the food is very high, certainly prepared by staff who have been doing this job for many years, with care and a lot of passion.
Price absolutely in line with the high quality offered.
I will gladly go back, since I also live very close to it!

We are now on our fourth visit to Castello di Montecavallo, and each time it is an unforgettable experience. We chose to celebrate my birthday here and, as always, everything was perfect.
The castle is a magical place, cared for down to the smallest details and managed with passion. Martina is an extraordinary hostess: she welcomes you with a smile and tells the story and the work behind each glass with contagious passion. The wine, needless to say, is simply incredible — each tasting is a journey through authentic aromas and flavors.
This time we wanted to complete the experience by sleeping a night in the B&B inside the estate. The rooms are large, elegantly furnished and perfectly in tune with the beauty of the place. The view of the greenery is picture-postcard, everything is kept with a care that can be felt everywhere.
In the morning we were greeted by a dream breakfast, prepared by Erica, who with sweetness and attention makes you start the day with a smile and many delights.
In summary? A place of the soul, where you can always return. Highly recommended.

07/06/2025: Pub with very informal, entirely wooden furnishings. You can drink excellent draft beer and eat, among other things, vegan dishes. The only flaw.... lighting probably a little too soft.

20/06/2025: Special and refined combinations, attention to local products and a good wine list that does not offer bottles that can now be defined as "banal" even if good, a discreet attention to those who have problems with gluten, mean that I will return even if with the fish there is still room for improvement given the good quality of the raw material.

Piazza Duomo in Alba isn’t just my favorite restaurant in Italy—it may very well be my favorite in the world. After several visits, I can confidently say this is the epitome of fine dining done right: deeply refined, yet never cold; innovative, yet rooted in nature and simplicity.
The service is, in a word, flawless. Attentive without ever being intrusive, friendly yet professional, humble yet supremely knowledgeable. It’s rare—even at this level—to find a front-of-house team that creates such a consistently warm, welcoming experience. Every detail is polished, but nothing feels forced. It’s service at its most human and elegant.
The sommelier stands out as one of the best I’ve encountered in Italy: non-pretentious, insightful, and genuinely helpful in guiding the wine pairing journey without overwhelming it. A rare balance that elevates the whole experience.
The food is exceptional. There’s a clear focus on vegetables grown in the restaurant’s own garden, and the result is a celebration of flavor and purity. The chef’s talent lies not in theatrical tricks, but in coaxing out the very soul of each ingredient. It’s magical and honest—a thoughtful departure from the over-processed, over-complicated techniques seen in many other three-star establishments.
We appreciated the health-forward approach of the vegetable-centric tasting menu, though if I had one small suggestion, it would be to include just a touch more indulgence—perhaps a dish with foie gras or lobster—to fully round out the luxury aspect.
The interior is another standout: playful but elegant, bright but never garish. Every corner feels considered, and the overall effect is both uplifting and deeply comfortable—something few high-end restaurants manage to achieve.
To top it all off, Chef Enrico Crippa, as always, remains humble and kind. He graciously took a quick photo and signed our menu—gestures that speak to the spirit of hospitality that defines this place.
Piazza Duomo remains a benchmark for what fine dining should be: soulful, smart, and deeply satisfying. I will always look forward to returning.

I had booked a table at Archisa well in advance (over two weeks before) to celebrate our wedding anniversary with my wife. Unfortunately, the experience turned out to be extremely disappointing.
On the same day, I was contacted and informed that there would be a delay in service due to a wedding in progress. However, no one clearly told us that the reception would be held in the same room where they would have seated us. Only upon arrival, while they were setting up our table, did we realize that we would be dining next to a wedding party already in full swing, with music, toasts and zero privacy.
At that point, embarrassed and bitter, we decided to leave, kindly explaining the reasons. No one from the ownership came forward to offer an apology, a courtesy gesture, a voucher or even an attempt to recover the situation.
We do not dispute the quality of the cuisine (which we did not have the opportunity to try), but the total lack of attention to the customer, the lack of clarity in communication and the lack of any reparatory gesture.
We would have appreciated even just a message of apology, but nothing. In fact, the review I had left on TheFork has disappeared, because the dinner - obviously - is listed as "not carried out".
What a shame. We had planned that evening in advance and with expectation. We left disappointed and without any consideration from the establishment.
