11/06/2026: Before the change of ownership, the drinks were excellent for years. But this year, the drinks service at Cotton has deteriorated. Just as an example: the bartender mixed my Campari Orange with canned orange soda (!!!) right in front of me, instead of the usual orange juice. The whisky sours for my friends were too small and consisted almost entirely of ice cubes. When I complained, they simply ignored me. Unfortunately, it's become a really bad place :-(

24/05/2026: When new inspirations become flavors... That's exactly what I experienced at the La Veranda del Color restaurant in Bardolino. Chef Fabio Cordella's "Evoluzioni" menu is an absolutely fascinating journey through modern gourmet cuisine. Each course tells its own story of evolution and culinary passion. I was absolutely thrilled! It was an unforgettable evening on Lake Garda. Many thanks again to the entire team for the wonderful service and fantastic food! 🇮🇹😊

12/04/2026: Pleasant visit but with some imperfections in the service. Small errors perhaps due to tensions for the new season. Everyone wants to be impeccable, but then you make small mistakes that are remedied with elegance. Having said that, let's move on to the menu. A pleasant dinner. I tasted the Sigillo menu momentarily until I got to the first courses, which didn't thrill me. Obviously, I didn't miss the opportunity to point it out to the chef because I believe that as a restaurant it's really worth it. So, he asked me everything carefully himself and I gave my personal opinion, made with great respect and accepted with the same respect. So, chapó. The wines recommended by the sommelier are also excellent. I would dare to go for the first courses. The suckling pig, even there, a little more flavor would have been dreamy, but the cooking and combinations were interesting. So, what can I say? Absolutely worth a try if you're in the area.

12/06/2026: Good all-you-can-eat. Located in the center of Bardolino, next to the little church. Good food, although some portions were a bit too large for my taste. Limited wine selection by the glass.

10/06/2026: I think it's some of the best sushi I've ever eaten! 😍 Strong and unusual flavors, impeccable service, and a wonderful outdoor setting! Highly recommended.

12/12/2025: I can only give full marks to a restaurant that feels familiar and old-fashioned. The walls are covered with actors and presenters who have made Italian television history, guiding you through simple yet perfectly cooked food. The owner is very kind, discreet, and helpful. The atmosphere is relaxing, with virtually no noise, nothing to complain about. The house wine is also good. Congratulations, we'll be back soon!

30/11/2025: A group of 27 people were forced to choose a fixed menu... Despite this, disorganized, terrible food, and tiny portions. AVOID ABSOLUTELY.

28/12/2025: The best agriturismo on the lake. The welcome is excellent and the products are of very high quality. The cheese, the cured meats, the wine… everything is absolutely excellent. The owners are extremely kind. The value for money is unbeatable. Go without hesitation; you won't be disappointed.

09/09/2025: The food is good, the atmosphere simple but comfortable. The wine is also excellent. The prices are fair.

08/06/2026: Cafe Italia is always a must for us in Bardolino. They have a great selection of spritzers and the view of the lake is beautiful. The food was delicious.

04/04/2026: The pizza was very good, but the cover charge was very high. When we ordered three pizzas to share, they charged €1.50 per pizza to cut them in half. A bit cheeky, otherwise a good experience.

04/04/2026: Service was rather cool and reserved; panna cotta was unavailable again at 7 pm, but the food was excellent.

08/09/2025: If there was a little more attention to the customer you would certainly have a higher profit... but unfortunately, as in many places on Lake Garda, there is no customer attention but only the interest in making money.....!!

11/10/2025: First of all, the welcome at reception was very friendly. Dinner was tasty, but unfortunately cold and poorly presented. The restaurant was more reminiscent of a large cafeteria. The rooms were dirty and not cleaned. No storage space or power outlets. The trash cans weren't emptied. The window didn't close properly. The breakfast buffet was okay. Luckily, it was only one night. A better youth hostel, but not a resort.

04/10/2025: The rooms are clean, the shower is good, and the food is tasty and varied.

21/05/2026: We've been going to San Martino regularly for over 10 years. The food and atmosphere were always very good. This time, however, we were disappointed. Even attractive dishes and slate plates couldn't compensate. The main course—grilled squid, about ten pieces the size of walnuts, accompanied by various green, white, and red sauces and a garnish of lamb's lettuce—was meager. €20 for that is outrageous. It was only suitable as an appetizer. A slightly more elaborate salad for €12 was the final straw. The service listened to our dissatisfaction briefly and patiently, without any complaints. As walk-ins, we were waved through... but there will be plenty of customers in the coming days. Fortunately, Bardolino has numerous good restaurant alternatives.

14/05/2026: We were served quickly and had a good table; our order was taken promptly. The appetizers were okay. The vitello tonnato was too dry. The tagliatelle with seafood was good, as was the grilled sea bass. The potatoes were lukewarm, the grilled vegetables cold. We complained and immediately received a new portion, again cold. The third plate was only lukewarm and also only half full. We had only taken a small sample from each of the previous plates. The dessert, tiramisu, bore no resemblance to the picture on the menu, but it was okay. What also bothered me was that a €5 cover charge was added to a bill of over €100 for two people. Very disappointing.

10/04/2026: Unfortunately, this was the worst wine recommendation we've ever received. After enjoying a rather robust and good red wine, we wanted to try another one and asked for a recommendation. The recommended wine, objectively speaking, was a taste disaster. It was also lighter than the one we had just tasted, which, in addition to the already poor quality of the wine, highlighted the incompetent recommendation and the staff's lack of knowledge about their own wines. Nevertheless, the location is pleasant, and if you don't ask for recommendations and just drink what you already know, it's alright.

09/04/2026: That's it! We've been regulars here for over 15 years. It's practically our "men's hangout" for the ladies shopping at the "Alexandra" boutique. And of course, we had the simple but excellent Custoza by the half-liter... with a refill. So, two half-liter glasses of wine. So far, so good... as always... delicious snacks and classically friendly service included. And then came the bill: €32!!! This will likely be the end of our tradition here. The price-performance ratio has completely gone out the window, and they've slipped into tourist traps... from now on, and this is a good advice for everyone: even in places without restaurants and simple bars, study the menu before sitting down!

04/04/2026: A wonderful discovery! Excellent coffee quality, a meticulously maintained environment, and a very professional staff. One of the best coffee shops in the area. Highly recommended for a quality break.

08/01/2026: A snack bar on the way to Cisano di Bardolino, near the tobacconist's on the Gardesana road. For several years, it's been our go-to spot on our stroll between Lazise and Bardolino. Their sandwiches and brioches are excellent. In the winter, we love their herbal teas. It reopens during Valentine's Day after a well-deserved post-Christmas break.

19/05/2026: We were completely disappointed and absolutely cannot understand the many positive reviews. For the "Fish Platter with King Prawns," I was asked which side dish I would like. Naturally, one assumes that a side dish offered is included. Among the options were fried potatoes – however, we only realized on the bill that these were suddenly charged at an additional €6. This hadn't been mentioned at all beforehand. If a side dish isn't included in the price, this should be clearly communicated. We find this misleading. Even more disappointing: The dish is called "Fish Platter with King Prawns." However, I was served only prawns – no fish. If a dish is described as a fish platter, one expects fish on the plate. Otherwise, the dish should simply be renamed. In my opinion, this is simply setting the wrong expectations for the customer. The fried potatoes themselves unfortunately bore little resemblance to proper fried potatoes – more like small pieces of boiled potatoes, briefly fried in oil, very dry, and without any particular preparation. Overall, the value for money was an absolute disaster. In addition, some of the dishes at our table were missing ingredients that were explicitly stated to be included. When we pointed this out, they initially tried to explain that these ingredients were supposedly already there. Only later were they reluctantly provided. Instead of responding in a customer-oriented manner, we got the impression that our comments were seen as a nuisance. Things got particularly unpleasant afterward: Once the situation was resolved, staff members talked about us behind our backs and gossiped about us—so loudly that it could be heard across several tables. This kind of behavior is completely unprofessional and disrespectful to paying customers. As the evening progressed, the staff became noticeably less friendly. This impression was even reinforced the next day when we happened to walk past the restaurant: One of the waiters pointed at us and was clearly talking about us with a colleague. After the previous day's experiences, this left a very negative impression. We also noticed that almost all the tables around us received a bread basket—except for ours. This might seem like a minor issue on its own, but unfortunately, combined with the rest of the experience, it fits the overall picture. Overall, a very disappointing visit – not just because of the food, but especially because of the way guests were treated. We definitely won't be back.

18/05/2026: I also cannot understand the positive reviews here. The pizza wasn't as ordered; it was missing ingredients listed on the menu. The waiter was very unfriendly and initially claimed everything was fine. Only after pointing it out twice was the pizza finally finished with the missing toppings. The waiters were very loud about it, so the other guests could hear it too. Absolutely not recommended – very unprofessional, especially if you're a family of six and want to eat there. Even two days later, the waiters were making fun of us when we walked by. There are much better ways to spend your money in Bardolino for good food. So, definitely not recommended.

12/11/2025: We ate here several times during our October holiday (2 adults, 1 dog). The service is quick and attentive. Very clean. Everyone is very friendly, and you feel welcome. I don't usually like pizza...but the pizza here is amazing. If you like thin, crispy crust and delicious toppings, this is the place for you. The Pizza Botanika was fantastic, incredibly tasty. Unfortunately, our enjoyment was somewhat dampened on the last evening, as everything in the back was set up for the next day, making it very noisy in the front. That wasn't so pleasant. At these prices, one should expect a nice atmosphere.

04/11/2025: We are regular guests at LaRocca Camping Village and have eaten at Botanika several times over the past four years. Mostly when the weather wasn't great and we preferred to stay at the campsite. So, out of necessity. Botanika describes itself as a "top-class restaurant." We can't confirm that. The menu hasn't changed much in recent years. Many dishes sound interesting, but unfortunately, they just don't taste good. Spaghetti with red shrimp – the shrimp aren't red, they're raw. Pasta with rabbit ragout – simply dry, as there was no sauce. Chicken with apple and blueberries – also completely dry. Black pasta – inedible. The pizza is okay, but nothing more. The tiramisu in a glass and the fries are very tasty. But everything is far too expensive compared to other restaurants in the area. What we find most disappointing, however, is the lack of attention to the needs of children. Spaghetti Carbonara is on the menu – but it's not available in a child's portion. The children's menu offered tortellini with ham and cream sauce – instead of tortellini with spaghetti, which wasn't possible. We've never experienced such inflexibility. The restaurant's ambiance was unpleasant – harsh lighting and plastic chairs, drafts in many corners, and it was noisy. The service was sometimes very inattentive. The price-performance ratio was unacceptable. The restaurants in Bardolino/Garda with direct lake views are significantly better and also cheaper.
