Ristorante San Martino In Bardolino

We've been going to San Martino regularly for over 10 years. The food and atmosphere were always very good. This time, however, we were disappointed. Even attractive dishes and slate plates couldn't compensate. The main course—grilled squid, about ten pieces the size of walnuts, accompanied by various green, white, and red sauces and a garnish of lamb's lettuce—was meager. €20 for that is outrageous. It was only suitable as an appetizer. A slightly more elaborate salad for €12 was the final straw. The service listened to our dissatisfaction briefly and patiently, without any complaints. As walk-ins, we were waved through... but there will be plenty of customers in the coming days. Fortunately, Bardolino has numerous good restaurant alternatives.

We were served quickly and had a good table; our order was taken promptly. The appetizers were okay. The vitello tonnato was too dry. The tagliatelle with seafood was good, as was the grilled sea bass. The potatoes were lukewarm, the grilled vegetables cold. We complained and immediately received a new portion, again cold. The third plate was only lukewarm and also only half full. We had only taken a small sample from each of the previous plates. The dessert, tiramisu, bore no resemblance to the picture on the menu, but it was okay. What also bothered me was that a €5 cover charge was added to a bill of over €100 for two people. Very disappointing.

Good food, fast and friendly service.

They offer delicious pizza, pasta, and gluten-free options. The service was very attentive and friendly. Inside it was nice and warm, and the atmosphere/music was wonderful – pure holiday bliss.

A bit pricey for what they offer, the Sepia a la Grillia was very, very small.

We sat inside the restaurant because of the time of year; there are also several tables facing the street. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was lovely. The service was friendly, perhaps a little too attentive. We had spaghetti with seafood (very good), spaghetti with sea bass, bruschetta, and a mixed salad. A liter of wine and water came to about €80. The price was perfectly fair!
