12/03/2026: A trendy place, but it has to be popular. There's often no seating inside or outside, and it feels like being on a bus. Prices are too high for the products offered, especially the prosecco, which after just one glass instantly gives you heartburn.

07/06/2026: Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. We really enjoyed the appetizers. The fish is supposed to be excellent, but we were looking for a really good pizza – and were unfortunately disappointed. The pizzas seemed rather bland and didn't impress us. It's a shame, because overall the restaurant made a good impression. Anyone dining here should probably stick to the fish dishes.

27/05/2026: A charming place in the square in Portogruaro, offering whole wheat, hemp, or scrocchiarella (a thicker, crispier crust, for two), delicious pizza, and desserts. Friendly and helpful staff. The only downside is the smell of cigarette smoke that can be smelled even inside.

02/05/2026: Perfect cafe for breakfast, with a wide selection of pastries and delicacies, and very knowledgeable and friendly staff. The atmosphere is clean and welcoming. The outdoor terrace is ideal for breakfast or summer aperitifs. Excellent location with ample parking. Recommended.

Tucked away from the chaos of St. Mark’s Square, it’s the kind of place where you can sit outside, watch the locals go about their day, and actually feel like you’re in Venice rather than a theme park version of it. The walls are covered in classic movie posters, giving the place a personality that’s as warm as the food. The pizza is the real deal: perfectly blistered crust, fresh toppings, no frills, no fuss. The kind of meal that reminds you why Italian food doesn’t need to be complicated to be great. The risotto is also worth ordering, and don’t sleep on the starter bread. It puts most other restaurants in the city to shame. Service is warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. On a good night, they’ll send you off with a complimentary limoncello, a lovely touch that caps the meal perfectly. Honest food, honest prices, and you will leave full. Dine among Al Pacino and Marilyn Monroe and leave wondering why you didn’t find this place sooner. Skip the tourist traps near St. Mark’s and make the walk to Cannaregio. 14/04/2026: Family-run trattoria; nothing to complain about the quality of the food. However, we paid €45 each for lunch for an appetizer (eggs and asparagus) and a first course (spaghetti with clams, or in my case, salad with parmesan cheese on the side—since I'm vegetarian), plus a carafe of white wine, a bottle of water, and three coffees. The price is definitely excessive considering how good the food was and how friendly the staff was.

03/03/2026: A true trattoria, simple and clean. The owners are always very welcoming and helpful. I feel right at home when I dine here. The fish is always fresh, and every time it's a surprise.

05/07/2026: The snack shop is right next to the pier, making it a great place to take a break while waiting for the boats to arrive. There are a variety of drinks and snacks to choose from. I ordered a large Coke and a large beer in the tourist area for 10 euros, which was reasonable. There are also several tables and benches in the open-air area where you can enjoy yourself. Watching the boats dock and leave, and the crowds disperse and gather again, is a nice way to relax.

23/05/2026: I stopped by this place because it was getting late and my little daughter needed to eat, and there weren't any places open that evening. My wife came in with the little girl and ordered a pizza... And the employee and the owner said, "Just one pizza?" "Can you fit two people in there?" with a certain sarcasm! How arrogant. Especially the owner! Avoid!
