12/09/2025: Horrible restaurant!!! Service is worthless. Food is horrible!!! The only thing they are good at is pricing!!! For 4 people 200€ and you leave hungry.

09/09/2025: It was recommended by our hotel. The service: more strained than attentive. Even with an older lady. Drinks were brought to our table in a completely unwelcoming manner, nothing was poured, the door wasn't even opened, and they were impatient and taciturn. They didn't answer any questions. They didn't respond to anything. The restaurant was rather empty. The food came very quickly, no accent, no pizzazz, acceptable quality, but somehow nothing special. Calemari, pizza, and spaghetti carbonara are better at Italian restaurants in Germany. I was disappointed. A shame about our first evening. I won't go there again. If you're going to eat calories, at least enjoy them! Not available in a station wagon there. 100 m east: Full place, only satisfied guests, flair!

21/12/2025: I'm giving it one star because it's the lowest I can get. The lady at the cash register was rude and ill-mannered, the waiters were embarrassing. I don't know what the paella was, it certainly wasn't the average paella for one person and one person used to it. 8 of us spent 300 euros, not even the liqueur offered. I strongly advise against it. A terrible choice.

21/12/2025: First and last time, there were 8 of us who ordered Paella... tasteless, with little fish and overcooked rice, it wasn't very inviting to look at... the atmosphere wasn't bad, except for the lady at the cash register who was a little rude...

31/01/2026: Change of name and management. Al Portego is now the Opera. The website and web links need updating. Excellent service. Nice atmosphere, but I'd remove the music. The quality could be improved; around here you can find more variety and better quality fish. And the fish has to be caught. Salmon in a Venetian barbecue is probably not a good idea. It needs to be revisited.

25/12/2025: A business dinner brought several dishes, but almost all of them were subpar: cold mussels, fried food with lots of vegetables and little fish, the rest questionable. Paid €75 per person. I think fewer dishes but higher quality. The menu was chosen by the restaurant. The wine was on tap, and not much, since some of the guests didn't drink it, so I think the price was a bit high. The price, considering I frequent restaurants. Dinner in December 2022

23/11/2025: We had lunch at this wonderful place... we enjoyed truly excellent dishes... from the aperitif with superb homemade chips... to the appetizers... the first course, second course, and dessert were truly exquisite... exceptional... everything vegetarian and truly delicious, and each course was thoroughly explained. Congratulations. 👏👏 The wait staff were very kind and helpful, the owner is truly a special person. My compliments 🤝👏👏 I'm sorry to only give it 5 stars... they deserve much, much more. See you next time, definitely, when we're back in the area. I absolutely recommend it. 🔝🔝👏👏👏

13/12/2025: I’ve become a regular here. So delicious. Perfect crepe spot. I’m just sad I didn’t get to finish the last crepe I bought because a seagull grabbed the last bits. 😭 careful eating outside, tourists! Can’t wait to go back!

25/08/2025: forgot to leave a review for the place that made me fall in love with any pistachio filling! the croissants are flaky and filled, coffee tastes bold which is to our liking. love the ambiance and interior though it is quite crowded and u might have to wait longer for seats and to be attended, but staffs were great regardless and still answer to ur queries!

29/12/2025: We had dinner at the restaurant. It was overall not a good experience. While the staff was friendly, the food was uninspired, not made to bring a taste experience to the guest. The prices however, even for Venice standards, were just over the top. No problem to pay extra in Venice, but then the quality should follow, and that is not the case here.

26/12/2025: Terrace only: They refused to let us have a drink on the terrace, even though it was practically empty at 3:30 pm, with only three tables occupied, all having drinks... The view was beautiful. The staff were unfriendly.
