Delicious pizzas and great atmosphere! I'm a hockey fan, so I really enjoyed the wonderful collection of hockey memorabilia in the bar. I had the good fortune of talking with the owner who was a hockey player. Great guy and a great place!

Very good pizza, the best I've had in Cortina.
The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Besides the pizza, I also recommend trying the traditional cuisine.
Highly recommended!

Birreria & Trattoria Vienna
This is a really good “Cortina energy” restaurant: lively, central, and built for people who are hungry and want something satisfying without a long, slow trattoria experience. Think of it as part birreria (beer hall vibe), part classic Italian comfort kitchen. It’s busy, a little loud, and efficient—exactly the kind of place that works well after a day outside when you want hearty food fast.
What it does best is reliable, filling, mountain-friendly Italian. The menu is a mix of pizza, pasta, and richer mains that fit the Dolomites setting. If you like wood-oven pizza, this is a strong option—properly baked crust, good balance of toppings, and it comes out the way pizza should: hot, crisp where it needs to be, and made for immediate eating. The safest choices are the simpler pizzas where the dough and bake can shine, plus classic cured meat or mushroom toppings that match the alpine vibe.
Pasta is another highlight, especially the dishes that lean into forest and mountain flavors. Anything built around porcini mushrooms usually makes sense here, because it tastes like the region—earthy, rich, and comforting. The best pasta plates are the ones that keep the flavors clear rather than overcomplicating it. You leave full, satisfied, and warmed up.
Where this place really earns points is the hearty main-dish category. It’s a great spot when you want “mountain food” that still feels Italian: slow-cooked meat style dishes, polenta pairings, and rich sauces that taste designed for cold weather. If you’re the type who wants a big, comforting plate at night, this place understands the assignment.
Service and atmosphere are exactly what you’d expect in a popular, high-traffic Cortina restaurant: friendly but fast. The staff are moving constantly, so don’t expect long conversations or a slow pacing between courses. If you want laid-back traditional service, come earlier or choose a quieter spot. If you want a busy, upbeat room and your food to come out efficiently, you’ll be happy here.
Value in Cortina depends on your expectations—this town is not cheap. But for the portion sizes and the “everyone can find something” menu, this is one of the more dependable choices for groups, families, and mixed appetites.
A very solid, hearty Cortina pick with good wood-oven pizza, comforting pasta, and the kind of rich mains that feel perfect after a day in the mountains. Just expect a lively room and a fast pace.
