22/05/2025: My wife Cristina and I, knowing the Val D’Illasi, which leads to the town of Illasi, yesterday, May 20, 2025, wanted to go to Frantoio Bonamini because the oil that is also sold on the large-scale distribution market is very good. We met him at the Tosano commercial chain in Megliadino San Fidenzio, province of Padua. The daughter of the owner Bonamini, who we met, introduced herself with great professionalism in her explanations, after having welcomed us with the same, great courtesy. We were allowed to do a tasting of three different organoleptic properties of this oil (small variations of the oil they produce) and she sold us three types of quality, in bottles. After that, asking her if there was a good traditional cuisine restaurant nearby, she very kindly wanted to tell us about the restaurant “Al Donzellino” in via Donzellino n. 3. I asked if she wanted to precede me with a phone call to this place. A few meters from the oil mill company we were welcomed by Mrs. Antonia, with a cordiality, perhaps, from another era, because it no longer exists. The place is very elegant and refined. It seems like entering a private home, which it is. Very well-kept tables, with three right rooms, with a sober and not ostentatious space. The cuisine that is offered is very refined and the enthusiasm, the passion that Mrs. Antonia puts is the result of the dishes that are tasted. Excellent first courses cooked in the Italian style, just right, that is “al dente”. The variety of foods changes every day. A particular specialty is the meat, red or white, of excellent quality, as are the vegetables of excellent quality. The courses are served with the simplicity almost as if you were invited into a private home. Water 75 cl. or 1 liter, wine in bulk, if you want, seasonal “dessert”, if fruit is requested. We tasted two cups of cooked cherries macerated with their natural liquid. The price at lunch, if you want to have a complete meal, is fair: €40 per person. Then in the evening I don't know if it changes. In any case I recommend this particular restaurant during the daytime lunch because there is light, there is more time, but above all it is located in the open countryside, surrounded by thousands of olive trees. Signora Antonia, then, enriches the pleasure of the banquet with explanations of the local culture, but above all of her passion for picking vegetables that are not found and that accompany in excellent combinations with what you choose as dishes. The whole context is bucolic. It gives a sense of peace and tranquility. I highly recommend it because when you have a passion for catering the results are there, served at the tables, waiting for those who decide to reach the owner of this mansion. 16/05/2025: We had the pleasure of experiencing a truly magical evening at Dari, in the heart of Verona. The place is a rare jewel: every detail speaks of taste, passion and care. The staff is prepared, attentive without ever being intrusive, and the owner embodies an elegance that is difficult even to describe, capable of giving value to every moment. The food lived up to the context: excellent dishes, presented with refinement and designed to amaze. Each course is a perfect balance between flavor, aesthetics and creativity. An experience that we will not forget and that we recommend to anyone who wants to experience something more than a simple dinner.

11/05/2025: Raw materials and ingredients are highly sought after. Except that the price still seems high to me: the margherita costs €30 (large, 8 segments), the other pizzas more. I took the one with culatello and tried the one with scallops, both very good. The dessert was good but not great. Good wine (€30 per bottle, the cheapest). In the end €50 each, a great deal for a pizza (small, 4 wedges), a glass of wine and a tiramisu (mediocre) with coffee (I forgot the cup of radicchio and cheese offered as a starter). For the rest, everything OK: excellent and fast service, nice and comfortable room, large car park 50m away

13/05/2025: We were there last Saturday for dinner...refined atmosphere, staff in their beautiful uniform and particularly kind. We ate good and tender fillet and rib with a side of roast potatoes and garden salad...not bad. Wine ok...and finally tiramisu and grandma's tart...good and not too sweet. We had a great time. Thanks to all the staff.

10/05/2025: Ottimo ristorante a Valeggio sul Mincio con parcheggio privato. Ambiente curato e molto pulito. Cameriere professionali simpatiche ed estremamente gentili! Tortellini sublimi..di pasta fresca finissima e con ripieno di ottimo gusto e qualità..sia quelli alla carne..agli spinaci e alla zucca! SPECIALI! Contorni e dolci super! Non potevano scegliere locale migliore..abbiamo mangiato benissimo!

11/05/2025: A wonderful vegan discovery in the heart of Verona! Today my wife and I had lunch for the first time at the La Lanterna restaurant in Verona and we were enchanted. From the first moment, the welcome was warm and kind: the girls who served us at the table were truly delightful, smiling and attentive. We ordered a starter and a second course, and we can say with certainty that the quality of the food is very high. The dishes were well prepared, tasty and well balanced: you can sense the love with which they are prepared. Although we didn't have a full menu, we left fully satiated and satisfied. The atmosphere of the place is quiet, welcoming, and tastefully furnished. Furthermore, an important detail for us: we were in the company of our dog, who was welcomed with affection and naturalness, which was not at all a given. We absolutely recommend this place, both to those who follow a vegan diet and to those who want to try something healthy, tasty and made with the heart. What can I say? A wonderful surprise on our day in Verona. Thank you very much, we will definitely be back!
