05/11/2025: We're in Aosta's pedestrian zone. If you have time, take a stroll through the city's historic center first—it's worth it. Augusta Praetoria Salassorum boasts many Roman ruins still visible. Known as the "Rome of the Alps," due to its importance during the Roman Empire, it preserves the Arch of Augustus, the amphitheater, the theater, the city walls, and much more. The restaurant is welcoming, and the staff is knowledgeable and attentive. The ingredients are excellent, and the quality of the food is presented in an engaging and creative way, stimulating all the senses. Unfortunately, I'm teetotal, but those who drank wine appreciated the wine list, which offers a wide selection to satisfy every taste. Many bottles were displayed around the tables, both to enhance the dining room and to make decision-making easier! I highly recommend it; it's an experience worth repeating.

16/10/2025: What can I say... My favorite restaurant!! I've never found the attention to detail in the dishes, the hospitality, and the service you find at Stefenelli! The chef is an artist in the kitchen, and every time we go, we experience unique and exquisite dishes! Always impeccable service, a wonderful wine list! I think it has no equal in the Aosta Valley, and I compliment them because behind our satisfaction, there is certainly a lot of love, a lot of commitment, a lot of research, and passion! ❤️

01/11/2025: Exceptional Italian cuisine Lunch during a visit to the Aosta Valley. This restaurant deserves an 'Outstanding' rating. Professional and pleasant service. The setting is cozy. You have several set menus to choose from: 'Traditional', 'Seasonal', 'Fois Gras', or à la carte dishes. We opted for the 'Seasonal' menu with two appetizers. Amuse-bouche: salmon with raspberry sauce, followed by a warm cherry tomato soup with buffalo mozzarella emulsion, and a steak tartare. First course: ricotta tortelli with warm white tomato soup. Second main course: trout fillet. Outside of the set menus, we enjoyed a tasting of local cheeses. Desserts: homemade lemon and raspberry sorbets. We received excellent wine recommendations, including a 50cl bottle of 2015 Torrette Superiore. The price for such a feast was only €148. The cooking was perfect, the seasoning precise, and the flavors exquisite. The service was provided by two young men who must have just graduated from or are currently training at a hotel management school (very professional, discreet, and always anticipating the need to replenish bread, water, and wine). Water and bread were served in unlimited quantities and included in the set menu. This is an excellent restaurant that is absolutely worth a visit. For those interested, the establishment offers a few rooms for those who wish to enjoy the wines without having to worry about driving afterward. A few photos will hopefully whet your appetite (the main dining room has been tastefully renovated).

01/10/2025: Reachable from both the Oropa sanctuary in the Biella area and the Gressoney Valley in the Aosta Valley. Starting from Coumarial, follow a path through the woods, but you can also take the farm road. The hike takes about 3 hours, even less if you're a bit fit. The refuge, practically a small hotel, is made of stone and can be glimpsed as you reach the hill above the small dam. Camouflaged and very beautiful. Super welcoming, excellent lunch with plenty of choice. A mountain setting with beautiful lakes. The circular route is interesting: Coumarial-Oropa or vice versa if there's the possibility of being accompanied and picked up by car. September 2025

16/09/2025: The refuge is located along the Alta Via 1. It stands out for its architecture and location. It is well-maintained, clean, and tidy. A beautiful and welcoming refuge. The staff and the refuge manager are passionate about their work, and hospitality is undoubtedly a strong point. The dishes served are of excellent quality and variety. The cellar is well-stocked, and you can order wine by the glass. The price includes a varied and plentiful sweet and savory breakfast, a three-course dinner, a first course and a second course with a side dish of your choice, at least three different options for each course. The portions are adequate, along with a choice of dessert, and three types of bread. Drinks are not included. A hot shower is included with no time limit. The bathrooms are clean and spacious. The rooms are heated. Boots can be left outside, on a designated rack at the entrance, and several pairs of slippers are available. Absolutely flawless! Highly recommended.

02/10/2025: We were here this evening, having been referred to us through an acquaintance. We had fondue and polenta from the Aosta Valley. Unfortunately, the flavors were a bit bland, probably due to the Fontina cheese not being aged for long enough. The waiter was very professional, but unfortunately, the chef should be in the kitchen instead of in the dining room, as happened at times, with an inappropriate attitude. The food was mediocre, prices average. I probably won't be back.

21/09/2025: An easy, almost flat walk through stunning scenery. The refuge is beautiful, and the food is top-notch: the polenta concia and desserts are excellent. Go and you'll be happy and satisfied.

16/10/2025: We ate at this trattoria on Sunday for lunch. The restaurant was fully booked, but the service, which was initially slow (though we had requested a soufflé, which requires cooking on the spot), was quick and punctual. We ate well, with refined, home-style cooking. I personally enjoyed their mixed salad, which I made again for my family when we returned from vacation. Excellent value. Recommended.

29/09/2025: For work, I spent three days in the beautiful village of La Magdeleine. I only tried the restaurant (not the hotel). The dishes are all excellent and plentiful, with the pork cheeks standing out. The staff is always kind and attentive to every request. It's definitely worth trying again and again.
