I was there on the occasion of an initiative linked to cross-country skiing. Being partners they provided polenta and sausage. Exquisite. Very sociable, kind, pleasant staff. I was surprised that coffee in a refuge costs only 1 euro. It's a very rare thing. Breathtaking environment, far from any inhabited center. Reachable by anyone. There is practically no climb. A bit of a long journey. Departure from the Saint Barthelemy picnic area. Highly recommended in all seasons.

Cibo veramente molto buono! Abbiamo prenotato per fortuna xkè se no era pieno. Con bambini ci abbiamo messo 2ore e mezza x arrivare facendo una bella camminata sulla neve. È quasi tutta pianeggiante tranne qualche salitina discesina dove bisogna stare attenti che si ghiaccia un pochino alcune noi le abbiamo fatte seduti sul sedere per evitare di cadere.. Si trova sulla pista di sci di fondo. Personale gentile e prezzi giusti. Lo consiglio.

Beautiful views and the refuge is in a lovely place. We arrived on cross-country skis. Perhaps because we stayed one night during the week and we were few guests, the environment was intimate and pleasant. The room with bathroom is really very nice, four stars! Finally, excellent dinner and breakfast. We will be back!

Bel rifugio in quota (2007 MT) raggiungibile con una facile camminata dal parcheggio di Polrliod (fatta con le ciaspole durante una nevicata) Camere ampie e pulite e servizi in comune Ottima la qualità del cibo e personale sempre gentile e disponibile Soggiornato due notti durante il weekend dell'epifania

Siamo partiti dal parcheggio " area picnic - Porliod " con le ciaspole insieme alle guide Pampatrek e MG Nature. Ragazzi fantastici, ho visto panorami mozzafiato fino al Rifugio x un lungo wk di Epifania. Passiamo adesso al Rifugio...Spettacolare , camere e bagni nuovi e sempre puliti. Rifugio con tutti i confort. Vogliamo del mangiare ? Eccellente, tutto buonissimo. I gestori e tutto il personale bravissimi, gentilissimi e disponibili. Grazie di tutto a presto. D.M.A.

16/03/2024: I spent an entire afternoon standing in the outdoor area of ​​the restaurant and it is very worth it, for those who are used to spending weekends with the magnificent presence of alcohol, it is highly recommended, the staff very kind and courteous. If you pass through Verrès during the weekend, this place is highly recommended even just for a quick drink.

18/02/2024: The pasta workshop is a point of reference for the quality of the food, the extraordinary flavors and the kindness of the owner. Here you will feel pampered while you taste handmade pasta, whether gnocchi, lasagna, ravioli or unfilled pasta, seasoned with sauces with a genuine and at the same time refined flavour. Here I enjoyed the best lasagna of my life (and I've eaten a lot of it, including Modena DOC ones) and some gnocchi with a sausage sauce that managed to amaze me with their goodness with every bite. To top it all off, the kindness of the owner, always smiling and ready to convey to you his passion for his work. If you come to Aosta, you can't miss it. If you don't go there, go there specifically, it's worth it!
