La Gabella In Jovencan

We had dinner during our vacation in the Aosta Valley. We ate in the spacious outdoor garden, so we have no idea what the interior looks like. We shared a tartiflette (which arrived practically cold after a long wait), fondue with crostini and boiled potatoes, and a portion of venison with Valdostan polenta. A good recommendation for a local white wine. The food is good quality, but the service is truly the sore point. Slow and disorganized. We saw multiple tables arrive after us. There were long waits between courses. The price was decidedly high. It's a shame because the location is worth a visit.

Nice restaurant, but the food is really disappointing and the price is high for what you get. The welcome is very cold. It doesn't have the Italian atmosphere you'd expect.

Simply extraordinary experience! We were here between late October and early November 2025 and were so impressed that I feel compelled to leave a well-deserved review. We arrived around 3:00 PM, when most of the restaurants in the area were already closed. Despite it being after hours, they were incredibly helpful: they left the table open especially for us and, at our request, even prepared raclette for us to try. A truly rare gesture of attention and care towards the customer. The raclette was delicious, perfectly prepared, and the service was impeccable: kindness, professionalism, and a genuine welcome that makes all the difference. It's not just about the good food, but the experience. We felt welcomed, listened to, and pampered. We will definitely return and recommend it to anyone seeking quality, human warmth, and true hospitality. Top, top, top! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
