23/10/2025: Absolutely delicious food. I had the chocolate croissant and it was excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was very clean too. I went back and got a croissant with strawberry jam, and a cappuccino. It was excellent. 5/5 will be returning I returned, and got a Nutella croissant and cappuccino, and they were both excellent!

06/11/2025: The only downside: we'll have to wait until March 2026 for this extraordinary laboratory to reopen. Here, gelato is a true sensory experience: it's ice-free, water-free, and never overly sweet. All you can taste is the full, authentic flavor of the ingredients, crafted with passion and artisanal precision. The master gelato maker is a pleasure to watch at work when you need him. The line is constant, but that's part of the charm: people wait because they know they're about to taste something unique. Absolute excellence.

The interior, dominated by a large wine display and wooden furnishings, creates an intimate and refined atmosphere. The location is immersed in greenery and surrounded by a backdrop of greenery and light, making it perfect for events and celebrations. The dishes we tried were all excellent, from the divine pici all'aglione to the tender and flavorful pork ribs, even the vegetable flan, pumpkin risotto, and cauliflower cooked three times. We also celebrated a baptism here and were warmly welcomed by the owner and the wait staff, who were extremely helpful, friendly, and professional, contributing to a serene and festive atmosphere. All our guests were won over by the hospitality, the cuisine, and the beauty of the venue. Very fair prices. An excellent experience, where cuisine, atmosphere, and attention to detail come together perfectly.

05/03/2026: What a disappointment! Quality plummeted despite the long wait! We returned with high expectations because the first time we'd eaten very well for the right price. We waited a full two weeks to book a table for last Sunday, but the experience was terrible and we won't be returning! ​The appetizer was poor: dry and frozen chicken liver crostini, prepared who knows when. The prosciutto on the plate was equally dry, despite being drowned in oil and fat. The first courses (ravioli and large tortelloni) had a thick, very hard pasta, truly unappealing. Finally, the roast potatoes were clearly frozen, all the same and floury. ​It's a real shame to see a place we once admired become so shoddy in its food. After this Sunday, we've decided it's no longer worth it.

I used to buy my snacks there as a child for school... when I'm in Viareggio, I go there and you're welcomed in a wonderful way with a unique kindness that expresses the goodness of their desserts. Go there!!!

14/02/2026: Trattoria in the village of Tereglio in Garfagnana. To get there, take the road up from Tre Metati. The ingredients are excellent, but the fried pasta is phenomenal. A simple but very welcoming place with very friendly staff. Two appetizers, one first course, two second courses, two desserts, coffee, wine, water, €65 with excellent portions. Worth a return visit.

29/01/2026: The pizza was good, with a thin crust and perfectly cooked, without excess oil, which I appreciated compared to other pizzerias. What I didn't like, however, was the layout: we were seated in a separate room, which, while nice, wasn't connected to the rest of the restaurant. To pay, we had to leave and re-enter through another room, which was a bit inconvenient.

15/02/2026: This is my first time here! To call it idyllic is an understatement. The location is fantastic! An old mill beautifully renovated by the owners. Surrounded by a beautiful stream, it creates a fairytale atmosphere. The food! Spectacular, all locally sourced, from their farm. I had their own ham, aged for 40 months, as an appetizer, accompanied by excellent crostini and cheeses. The Lucchese tordelli were among the best I've ever tasted! For my second course, I had fried chicken, which I hadn't eaten this good since I was a child. The portions are way too large! All accompanied by an excellent bottle of wine from their well-stocked cellar. All for €40! A special mention goes to the owner, a young woman of extreme kindness and cordiality, who serves in the dining room. Thank you for the fantastic experience. We'll be back soon!

31/01/2026: We stumbled upon Osteria Parlascio while looking for a nice spot to eat, and it turned out to be a wonderful find! The restaurant has a very charming atmosphere, located right on Piazza dell’Anfiteatro. We were welcomed with bread and table water, and each of us ordered a cocktail, which we really enjoyed. For starters, we shared three different kinds of bruschetta. They were tasty and fresh, although we did miss a little bit of garlic flavor. For the main course, we went for a mix of dishes: a Quattro Stagioni, a Wurstel pizza, two Tonno pizzas, and one Tagliatelle al Ragù di Cinghiale. I had the tagliatelle myself, and I must say—it was one of the best I’ve ever had! The pizzas were also excellent, full of flavor with a thin crust and just the right crunch. Overall, we had a great experience here. Delicious food, good drinks, and a cozy atmosphere made it a place we would definitely recommend!

27/01/2026: The Osteria Parlascio is located in the heart of Lucca, right in the Amphitheater. Like many osterias in the area, it offers a fresh and appealing menu with so many options that it’s hard to choose. We selected a table in the center of the Amphitheater, where a flower and plant show was taking place, hoping to enjoy the view while having our meal. We ordered beers—Bionda Piccola (€12) and Rossa Piccola (€4)—along with one Bruschetta Crudo Tartufo (€9), one Tortellini (€12), and one Pici Burrata Guanciale (€12). The total bill came to €52. The tortellini were smooth, tender, and juicy. The Pici Burrata Guanciale was flavorful, with the burrata blended with pecorino cheese and cream, coating the sautéed pici pasta—rich but delicious. The bruschetta was fresh and large enough to share. Next time, I would try other places in the area as well; I believe most of them offer a good dining experience.
