11/03/2026: We visited this pizzeria the other evening with friends, and the experience was flawless from the first moment we contacted them. I had already noticed the owner's great availability via WhatsApp, and in person, it was completely confirmed: from the owner to the chef, to the waiters, we found only polite, friendly, and truly kind people. ​The dinner was excellent: the pizza was truly excellent, and the dessert to finish was simply fantastic. What made the evening even more special was the piano bar: the music was wonderful and created a wonderful atmosphere that continued throughout our evening. ​The real strength, besides the quality of the food, is the kindness of the entire staff. We felt welcomed in the best possible way. We will definitely be back!

27/01/2026: Le Gioie – Posto Siciliano is a truly welcoming place, with a genuine, family atmosphere. The cuisine is Sicilian, prepared with care, simple yet flavorful, with dishes that taste of home and tradition. The service is friendly and makes you feel immediately at ease. The atmosphere is informal, ideal for a leisurely lunch or dinner in the center of Scicli. An authentic place where you can eat well and have a good time.

25/07/2025: Here, they masterfully combine a relaxed and informal atmosphere with excellent cuisine: innovative and exquisite dishes (sardines sandwiches or seafood carpaccio, pasta with swordfish and mint pesto, etc.) alongside truly extraordinary interpretations of Sicilian classics like panelle or caponata. The location, directly on the sea, is fantastic, and the team is always available, friendly, and attentive. A firm fixture on our Sicilian holidays.

02/03/2026: Unfortunately, it was a terrible experience for me. Grilled vegetables (4 slices of eggplant and half a zucchini with a sad tomato in the center) €12, a rip-off. The pizza was served in broth because it was full of water in the center, perhaps the frozen spinach hadn't been squeezed out properly. I don't recommend it. P.S. How can staff or owners be allowed to play cards in the dining room during service? Absurd.

25/01/2026: We were so happy to find a restaurant that was not only open on a Sunday in January, but also good! The pizzas were delicious. The kind woman serving our table was very accommodating of our 8 month old. Although we speak little Italian, it was refreshing to visit a restaurant in which no one speaks English. The experience was more authentic.

06/11/2025: Homemade food and generous portions! The restaurant doesn't have table service (self-service), but has tables inside and out (a small terrace with a sea view). The price is fair, and everything we tried was good. The staff? Virtually nonexistent!

11/10/2025: We stayed at the Modica Beach Resort during the off-season. Since we travel a lot, we read some reviews this time, which are generally quite positive. We don't know what it's like in the high season, so we obviously can't speak for that period. First, the location: The hotel is truly in an absolutely wonderful location, right on the beach. It truly deserves 5 stars. The fact that the waves were quite high the first few days and it was almost impossible to get into the water isn't anyone's fault. The last few days, the sea was absolutely calm and it couldn't have been better. The rooms: We had a deluxe room facing the garden. Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed. The garden was an absolute joke and the hedge was so high that you couldn't see the open space behind it. There would have been room for a larger garden with a low hedge without any problems. I would give it 3 points for cleanliness. It was more of a quick fix than clean. The TV didn't have any German channels, and the smart TV didn't work at all. No stable WiFi connection. Now, the food. If you're looking for good Italian cuisine, you've come to the wrong place. The room is really coldly lit and extremely uncomfortable. The breakfast is pretty monotonous. Canned and unpeeled fruit. There's no variety of cold cuts. Endless sweets...but those with a sweet tooth will probably still find something to their liking. The coffee shouldn't be called coffee; it's more like dishwater than coffee. You can buy "real" coffee on site if you like. The dinner is an absolute disaster...we were wondering if the chef was on vacation and that's why we've read some positive reviews about the food. Everything is more or less tasteless and completely uninspiring. A real shame, since Italy is actually one of the countries with good cuisine. All in all, we can say the location is great, the food is a flop.

27/02/2026: Products that aren't freshly made and are raw. Before serving, perhaps taste items that have been ready for a while. Other products aren't exactly of the highest quality, especially considering the price.

04/11/2025: Excellent value for money It's located on a central street, always open for both lunch and dinner (it's beautifully lit in the evenings!) You can dine at the outdoor tables, take away, or order delivery. The portions are generous, and the ingredients and flavors are truly delicious! The sandwiches, piadinas, and fried foods are delicious, especially the panelle, which I love but aren't always easy to find! The staff is young and very friendly, and the atmosphere is truly welcoming, carefully decorated for Halloween (and, I assume, for any holiday). Highly recommended!

02/11/2025: We ate here twice and were more than satisfied both times. The food was delicious, and above all, everyone was so friendly! There's also a lovely outdoor seating area. A real highlight was when the nice man let us into the haunted house they set up in the building for Halloween.

09/11/2025: The ice cream is definitely delicious, and the presentation is lovely, with printed paper cones for the cones, colorful boxes for the brioche with Tuppo, and pretty tins for larger purchases. They even have compostable spoons made of bioplastic – exemplary! However, I think the slogan "Number 1 in Italy" is a gross exaggeration and a bit presumptuous, as I've definitely had better ice cream in Sicily. There are also gelaterias with a much wider selection and more interesting flavors. Sicily is diverse!

01/11/2025: I bought a medium cup and a large cup for 11 euros. Embarrassing. Plus, the ice cream was frozen, not fresh. I'm sorry, I'll never go again.

23/02/2026: A wonderful experience in a very unique place, with a very nice, comfortable, and welcoming atmosphere. The pizza was very good, considering what's out there these days. Granted, it was Saturday and it was very busy, so the service was a bit slow, but it was all manageable, given the pleasant atmosphere. I'll gladly return. Highly recommended.

09/01/2026: Delicious pizza and a welcoming atmosphere. The new management has given the place a wonderful touch, creating a convivial atmosphere that makes you feel at home, almost like being in your own living room. Comiso was really missing a place like this. Kudos to all the staff! 🍕✨
