11/10/2025: We stayed at the Modica Beach Resort during the off-season. Since we travel a lot, we read some reviews this time, which are generally quite positive. We don't know what it's like in the high season, so we obviously can't speak for that period. First, the location: The hotel is truly in an absolutely wonderful location, right on the beach. It truly deserves 5 stars. The fact that the waves were quite high the first few days and it was almost impossible to get into the water isn't anyone's fault. The last few days, the sea was absolutely calm and it couldn't have been better. The rooms: We had a deluxe room facing the garden. Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed. The garden was an absolute joke and the hedge was so high that you couldn't see the open space behind it. There would have been room for a larger garden with a low hedge without any problems. I would give it 3 points for cleanliness. It was more of a quick fix than clean. The TV didn't have any German channels, and the smart TV didn't work at all. No stable WiFi connection. Now, the food. If you're looking for good Italian cuisine, you've come to the wrong place. The room is really coldly lit and extremely uncomfortable. The breakfast is pretty monotonous. Canned and unpeeled fruit. There's no variety of cold cuts. Endless sweets...but those with a sweet tooth will probably still find something to their liking. The coffee shouldn't be called coffee; it's more like dishwater than coffee. You can buy "real" coffee on site if you like. The dinner is an absolute disaster...we were wondering if the chef was on vacation and that's why we've read some positive reviews about the food. Everything is more or less tasteless and completely uninspiring. A real shame, since Italy is actually one of the countries with good cuisine. All in all, we can say the location is great, the food is a flop.

16/09/2025: Realy a very good pizza. Very good service, very good food, short waiting time and there is a very nice and kind boy who serves you. I mean, if you want to eat quickly, well and tasty, this is the place to go.

27/07/2025: This isn't just one of Modica's historic pizzerias, but one that has maintained and strengthened its quality, speed, and friendliness over the years. Here you'll find these three components, which in my opinion often prove to be its strength. You know that in this pizzeria, everything is quality; you'll be served with a smile, and their experience in the industry means they're very quick. Mine was a takeaway with two free cans of Coke... small but important gestures... you can't go wrong here... 🔝

25/07/2025: Here, they masterfully combine a relaxed and informal atmosphere with excellent cuisine: innovative and exquisite dishes (sardines sandwiches or seafood carpaccio, pasta with swordfish and mint pesto, etc.) alongside truly extraordinary interpretations of Sicilian classics like panelle or caponata. The location, directly on the sea, is fantastic, and the team is always available, friendly, and attentive. A firm fixture on our Sicilian holidays.

24/10/2025: The location was beautiful, and the food (we had a small appetizer) was delicious. A slice of bruschetta cost €11, a regular coffee €6, and a cappuccino €8. A bottle of water also cost €6. The drinks weren't listed on the menu. We think it was a rip-off and not a pleasant vacation experience.

12/10/2025: We've finally found the Sicilian cuisine we were looking for, the kind made for friends and family, the kind you'd want to take home and eat every day, even after your vacation. A simple, welcoming place and a cuisine that's good for the palate and the heart, without being ostentatious. Thank you, Fiorenzo

17/09/2025: A must-stop if you're passing through Modica. You'll find many delicacies, like the best chocolate in Modica 💪🏼 Lots of gadgets and excellent counter service 💪🏼 Super service 💪🏼

06/11/2025: Homemade food and generous portions! The restaurant doesn't have table service (self-service), but has tables inside and out (a small terrace with a sea view). The price is fair, and everything we tried was good. The staff? Virtually nonexistent!

13/09/2025: We ended up here by accident. We were supposed to go to the one next door. We ordered two different pizzas. They were good. The tomato sauce was very sweet, the black olives intense. Strong contrasts. The flavors aren't necessarily standard 😋 Maybe it's worth trying something different sometimes.

13/09/2025: The pizza is absolutely phenomenal - Daviola Rosa. Others too. They charge 5 euros for service, but that's irrelevant compared to the delicious food. One of the best pizzas I've ever had. Delicious. I recommend it.

04/11/2025: Excellent value for money It's located on a central street, always open for both lunch and dinner (it's beautifully lit in the evenings!) You can dine at the outdoor tables, take away, or order delivery. The portions are generous, and the ingredients and flavors are truly delicious! The sandwiches, piadinas, and fried foods are delicious, especially the panelle, which I love but aren't always easy to find! The staff is young and very friendly, and the atmosphere is truly welcoming, carefully decorated for Halloween (and, I assume, for any holiday). Highly recommended!

02/11/2025: Very friendly staff, warm, fresh, and above all, inexpensive food served very quickly, and no table service charges in a lovely garden. I don't understand the negative reviews; this place deserves 5 out of 5 stars 🌟. They invited us to visit their Halloween 🎃 room for free; the whole building was themed around Halloween 👻. Try the horse meat there—highly recommended!

28/06/2025: Unfortunately I didn't like the ice cream, I found it hard to digest, probably mine is a subjective taste but I wasn't enthusiastic. The few available chairs are placed on a sidewalk.

09/11/2025: The ice cream is definitely delicious, and the presentation is lovely, with printed paper cones for the cones, colorful boxes for the brioche with Tuppo, and pretty tins for larger purchases. They even have compostable spoons made of bioplastic – exemplary! However, I think the slogan "Number 1 in Italy" is a gross exaggeration and a bit presumptuous, as I've definitely had better ice cream in Sicily. There are also gelaterias with a much wider selection and more interesting flavors. Sicily is diverse!

01/11/2025: I bought a medium cup and a large cup for 11 euros. Embarrassing. Plus, the ice cream was frozen, not fresh. I'm sorry, I'll never go again.

13/10/2025: Scicli is already a busy place in the evening, but we had a wonderful meal here. The service was fast, and the dishes, a blend of innovation and tradition, were truly spectacular. Highly recommended.

25/10/2025: The food is good, the service is fast and spartan, the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. The cleaning of the place needs to be reviewed, especially in the kitchen.

28/08/2025: This fast food restaurant offers quick and well-presented options. Unfortunately, there are some hygiene issues. The food wasn't cooked properly, perhaps too fast and not exactly fresh. In the end, we didn't feel great.
