12/02/2025: Dinner with three friends... What can I say, a welcome discovery, we started with a small (at our request) delicious appetizer of Luciana-style octopus, meatballs, fish skewers, but immediately afterwards came a pacchero which was amazing made up of a very creamy yellow tomato sauce, stracciatella and RED prawns ALL SERVED IN A REAL PLATE.... I RECOMMEND IT..... NOT LESS THAN A BAKED SEA BREAM AT LEAST 1.5 KG....

15/02/2025: We finally managed to have dinner in this place and on a special evening... Valentine's Day. What can we say other than just beautiful words, in the dishes innovation, refinement and the raw materials are nothing short of excellent, beautiful to look at and excellent on the palate. The chef leaves nothing to chance and explains his creations in every single detail, the service was excellent, always present and never intrusive. We will return as soon as possible because there is so much to taste... congratulations indeed!

26/12/2024: In the Piazza del Palazzo Ducale in Alessano, the air smells good and the fresh breeze inebriates you. We had dinner in this extremely welcoming place. Mrs. Eleonora herself showed us the menu. We tasted excellent fish and very fresh local products, well presented and with generous portions. Adequate prices. Well done! We returned because the restaurant and location won us over, we learned that the management is familiar and well looked after by Mrs. Eleonora and her three children. The girl who followed us explained the interesting history of the ancient building in which the restaurant is located and which was owned by the Sangiovanni dukes and has recently been restored. For dinner we were offered an amazing rosé wine with exactly the required characteristics. In short, everything was excellent: loction, food service and good wine. Compliments!!

09/09/2024: Posto ubicato nel centro di San Nicola, che dire , ristorante famigliare, ciò non toglie che i piatti siano curati ad ogni minimo dettaglio . Il personale , Enrichetta il marito e il figlio Simone sono delle persone gentilissime e molto accoglienti. I piatti tutti squisiti , sopratutto lo gnocchetto ( indicata nel menu come chicche) e i dolci della signora fatti in casa tant’è che abbiamo anche richiesto altri dolci da portarci a San Domino; Squisita la marmellata fatta dalla Signora. Insomma morale della favola Enrichetta è una garazia culinaria delle isole tremiti.

12/03/2025: Sunday lunch, excellent food and location. I gave the service a 4 because although they were the best for information on food and suggestions, they were annoying, they didn't allow us to eat peacefully, they kept coming over to see if we had finished and immediately removed the plates

28/02/2025: I celebrated my son's birthday by organizing a small reception here after taking the children to Hyperspace. They reserved a small room for us, which was very nice. As the menu we chose rotisserie pieces (but there are various proposals, from pizza to sandwiches). It was all really good, plentiful and above all served hot! The cake, made by them, was very good. I was very satisfied with the organization and the service, coordinated by Mr. Antonio, a truly kind and helpful person. I highly recommend it!

20/03/2025: Typical products shop, very kind and friendly owner. Wide assortment: there are cured meats, pasta, cheeses, meat, jars of all kinds. The prices seemed fair to me even though the shop is clearly a tourist destination. I bought several taralli of various flavors, I liked them a lot. If I happen to pass by these parts again, it is very likely that I will return.

13/02/2025: Emilian tourists, my mother and I were looking for a shop selling typical products and here we found a great variety of taralli, both sweet and savory, and many other products! We were welcomed by a very kind and friendly boy who also let us taste the taralli and described the various products on the counter. Highly recommended! Ps. Thanks for the figs, delicious! 🤩

02/03/2025: Recommended by the hostess of the b&b where we were staying for a weekend in Monopoli, we went there for lunch. Exceptional quality/cost! It is a diner with a large lounge, there is no table service. Dishes that range 360 ​​degrees, including first courses, salads, pizzas and second courses, both land and sea. The thing I appreciated among others is that the dishes are served by "weight" so you can choose how much to eat. We had a seafood salad (octopus, very fresh shrimp and vegetables), two portions of white orecchiette with meat (delicious), a portion of delicious octopus with tomato. All accompanied by half a liter of loose house pink wine, nice and cold (I like it that way even if it's not for a sommelier) and a bottled Coke. All for €32! Really highly recommended!!

I like to share pleasant experiences to spread positivity and convey my happiness, to those who know me and those who don't. Anyone who wants to follow me will not be disappointed! Let's get to the point. This diner struck me with its excellent value for money. Also deriving from the fact that the portions are valued according to their weight. And for me this is a very important aspect. How many of you will have ordered food not completely hungry leaving leftovers on your plate. Or how many of you have found yourself in catering establishments where mega-large portions are served. Not to mention diets...Well, in this case you have the freedom to eat in the quantities you want, avoiding the waste typical of our civilizations. But it's not just a question of prices. The quality is remarkable. I focused on some starters and took several types just to compare them. I can say with extreme honesty that the rest of their dishes will also be worth tasting. I had worried (in the end without reason) about the wines. I am a "Rossi" drinker although, having taken a basic wine (and cooking) course, I recognize that pairings are important. It was served to me at fridge temperature (alas, some customers are inclined to commit this atrocity) :-). Tommaso was quick to bring me a glass at room temperature, pointing out that there is an assortment of reds and more. Also good at elegantly escaping my "logorrhea" :-) I hope to return as soon as possible to enjoy the rest at spectacular prices. I gave the location 4 stars only for the fact that if you want to eat while also worrying about the surrounding area, well, then you need to go elsewhere. But this is a "Tavola Calda" and the exaggerated dimensions of the room also offer the possibility of not perceiving confusion with the crowded room. I mentioned Thomas in particular. But my compliments also go to the organization and all the staff.

09/02/2025: Reading the various reviews, we were intrigued by the place and we decided to give it a try. As soon as we entered, the owner showed us the place and showed us the magnificent view of the Capitanata on the upper floor. He made us sit at the table in front of the fireplace and lunch began: what can I say, one course better than the other, served with great care. We got all the passion for our work and our city. Highly recommended!

27/01/2025: Che dire, si mangia benissimo, prodotti locali cucinati con amore e di ottima qualità. Servizio caloroso e presente. Prezzo ottimo. Che si vuole di più? Come bonus aggiuntivo ho passato un pranzo domenicale scaldato da un bel camimo scoppiettante. Ci tornerò sicuramente .

05/04/2025: Sono stata a cena in questo ristorante per motivi di lavoro. Buona l'offerta di antipasti... Ottima l'insalata di mare...(servita già condita con un dressing buonissimo) e ottimi gli spaghetti all'assassina...! Saporiti e leggermente piccanti. Personale di sala gentile... Rapporto qualità prezzo nella media.

04/11/2024: Il titolo della recensione si ricollega al famoso detto. In questo caso,però, nella Locanda del Convento, abbiamo cenato bene, con soddisfazione, in un ambiente cordiale. Ottimi antipasti caldi e di terra. Le pizze sono discrete, secondo me gli impasti devono prevedere una lievitazione più lunga, che ne ottimizza la digeribilità. Ma comunque sono di buona fattura i componenti usati. Dolci buoni ed artigianali. Prezzi eccellenti. Provare per credere…..!

The spaghetti all'assassina was very good and the pizza also pleasantly surprised me, with a particular and well-balanced taste. Praise for the staff: very kind waiters, fast and efficient service, even though it was a Saturday evening and the place was full, the orders arrived on time, without long waits, which made the evening even more pleasant. Excellent value for money. If I really have to find a small flaw, the place is a little noisy, but nothing that ruins the experience. Overall, a perfect dinner. Furthermore, just a few meters away there is also the possibility of parking the car in a guarded garage at a low cost. I congratulate the managers of this business.
