21/04/2025: Val Servin a Balme: un'esperienza di pranzo surreale. Il cibo è molto buono, peccato che gli antipasti fossero di qualità ma pochi. La vera sorpresa è arrivata quando gli uomini hanno ricevuto le loro porzioni di polenta dopo un'ora, abbondanti e ben presentate. Noi donne abbiamo aspettato mezz'ora in più per ricevere una misera porzione ridicola rispetto a quelle servite agli uomini. Il pranzo si è trascinato per ore senza una parola di scusa dal ristoratore. E come tocco finale, non c'è stato nemmeno uno sconto al momento del pagamento, nonostante le evidenti carenze del servizio. Forse perché erano a fine servizio e non c'era abbastanza polenta per tutti? Scusa debole per un servizio così palesemente squilibrato. Un'esperienza deludente, soprattutto considerando la disparità di trattamento tra uomini e donne.

The room inside is very small, with modern furnishings and too much for my tastes. A good place to stop by for a coffee or a simple breakfast and read a newspaper on a beautiful morning.

13/04/2025: Wir waren als Gast im vorzüglichen Park Hotel Italia am Abend im hauseigenen Restaurant. Das Lokal ist modern, an schöner Lage, der Service freundlich zurückhaltend. Das Essen selbst hat uns nicht behagt. Hier versucht sich ein Küchenchef selbst zu verwirklichen, mit neuen Kreationen, die aber keineswegs überzeugen und keine authentische italienische Küche bieten. Die grünen Spaghetti mit Seeigel waren sehr fade, die Entenbrust zäh, die Preise für ersten und zweiten Gang viel zu hoch im Vergleich mit anderen Restaurants im schönen Cannero Riviera.

05/04/2025: Today for lunch I enjoyed the battered lake fried fish. Spectacular dish as well as the refined and simple location, the service, the quality-price ratio. I also recommend the selection of cocktails of the incomparable bartender Andrea. The Jacaranda Bar attached to the restaurant, in my opinion, is a point of reference in the area for those who are passionate about cocktails. In the available repertoire, for those who love sweet taste I recommend the following creations by Andrea: Pink Angel, Olea Fragrans, Isabel Paloma, Mojito Maracuja, Viktor Margarita, as well as the classic Margarita and Dajiquiri. For the current, new 2025 season I recommend the Zagare.

Top quality/price ratio, despite the many people, we didn't wait, there are 2 fish menus and one meat menu with appetizer, first course, second course, side dish, water, wine and coffee for 35 euros with truly generous portions. I would like the shopkeepers of San Salvario to consider the fact that even if you put a couple of chairs outside the door after two minutes you will find people sitting and ordering. That is, being in that area is a significant advantage. But this must be a further incentive to provide the best possible service. Having said this, I wanted to understand why, last night, at our request to drink your vermouth, which is also produced by you and therefore certainly a distinctive element of the place and your point of pride, we were served less than an inch each in a small glass. A dose that I consider just a taste. I don't know how much it cost because my friend paid, but none of the 5 of us at the table were satisfied with your precious and very good vermouth. Sorry but you could have offered us a whole bottle, 5 of us would have finished it without difficulty. Maybe you thought about our driving license points but we live in the area, it wasn't necessary. So I invite you to review the doses of vermouth served... it's an excellent product. Be more generous, you will see that you will have an excellent return. See you soon Fabrizio

22/04/2025: I had to get a better idea of ​​this place, especially after hearing about its "industrial chic style" and the selection of informal platters and plates. Unfortunately, my experience was anything but positive, and I'm sorry to say it, but this place barely deserves 2 stars. Let's start with the cutting board, which should be the flagship of a place like this: cured meats and cheeses that seem to have come from the refrigerated counter of a discount supermarket. No particular flavours, no artisanal quality, just flat and characterless stuff. Chicken wings? Definitely terrible: not very tasty, almost rubbery, and served with a sauce that was unable to mask the lack of freshness. The environment, of course, is interesting with that mix of industrial archeology and modern design, but when the food disappoints so much, even aesthetics take a back seat. The service was average, neither particularly slow nor particularly attentive, but certainly not enough to lift the experience. If you are looking for a place to eat well in Turin, unfortunately this is not the case. Maybe it's fine for a quick aperitif (if you don't care about the quality of the food), but for a real gastronomic experience, there are much better options in the area. It's a shame, because with a little more care in the selection of products, it could be a completely different place. I won't be returning, and I don't recommend it to anyone looking for more than an Instagrammable setting.
