04/03/2025: But sorry but it's possible, there's a pig who serves the dishes, with a beautiful formula, I serve one I eat one yum, slow ass service, the food sucks for God's sake the fish isn't even at normal temperature, they serve the sashimi in ice so you don't notice. Pls close or improve

I must say that we ate very well:
Paccheri, carpaccio, agnolotti, roast, fried and desserts all really excellent..

24/11/2024: Nice place a stone's throw from Porta Susa station.
I recommend booking on the weekend.
Wide choice of red and white wines.
The cold cuts and cheese platter for two people was not very abundant but of good quality!
05/11/2024: Excellent wine shop in the beautiful CIT neighborhood. I was there a month ago now for an aperitif before taking the train to nearby Porta Susa. Being alone, I was placed on the shared table and drank a good glass of a very intense rosé ciliegiolo, accompanied by delicious breadsticks and seasoned olives. There are many proposals for rich, refined and inviting appetizers. The atmosphere inside is very pleasant and welcoming: surrounded by beautiful bottles and colorful paintings. Musical accompaniment (too bad it wasn't jazz but evidently the manager has a rock soul). Tables also outside and friendly staff. I spent a pleasant moment reading in peace: the place, at that moment, was quiet, with few customers, but I expect many will have arrived later.

27/01/2025: Con amici cacciatori ci recavamo in questo locale per pranzare, subito il locale aveva il posto per la comitiva, successivamente, appreso che eravamo cacciatori, il locale improvvisamente non aveva più posto. La titolare ha dichiarato di non voler i cacciatori nel suo ristorante. Curioso però che le loro specialità siano quasi tutte a base di carne. Forse quegli animali muoiono di vecchiaia oppure si suicidano per poter soddisfare le richieste dei clienti del ristorante.. mistero. Siamo poi andati altrove, siamo stati serviti e riveriti ed abbiamo mangiato molto bene.
Una domanda signora gliela voglio fare: ma quando un qualunque avventore si presenta in abiti normali, lei glielo chiede se va a caccia o meno? Perché magari sa quanti cacciatori hanno già mangiato bel suo ristorante? Lo scrivo così spero di risolvere due problemi in uno. Da una parte i cacciatori sappiano che non sono i benvenuti, dall'altra le ho dato lo spunto per poter indagare più a fondo sulla sua clientela, perché sa signora, non andiamo tutti i giorni a mangiare al ristorante vestiti da caccia. La informo inoltre che i molti alpini che arriveranno saranno potenziali cacciatori... Come farà a gestire la cosa?

31/12/2024: Nice place, helpful staff but the food was very discreet, I would have preferred more choices of hot dishes instead of just the udon which once tasted we expected a savory dish but it was with a sweet and sour sauce, the price was slightly higher than normal, I expected more

Sabato scorso a margine di una serata "letteraria" siamo andati con dei ns. cari amici al Fer.Mo a Frassinello.
Locale posto al centro con parcheggio pubblico. Locale ben curato, belle le cantine adibite a sale e affascinante l'infer not.
Piatti tipici, Lo stracotto è suntuoso.
Carta dei vini "esagerata".
Servizio ottimo.
Il conto è rapportato alla qualità di tutto.

11/01/2025: Immerso nelle colline dell’Astigiano tra splendide vigne di Barbera che sembrano appena uscite dall’estetista, si trova questo meraviglioso Ristorante.
Tutto è curato nei minimi particolari. L’esterno ricorda i vecchi casali dei nostri nonni dove buona parte della vita si svolgeva all’aperto tra aia e fienile. Dentro l’atmosfera è sempre molto calda ed accogliente ma anche molto curata ed elegante. Sembra veramente di essere a casa. Il tutto immerso nelle bellissime vigne di Barbera.
Abbiamo cenato all’esterno sotto il bel porticato. L’atmosfera e l’ambiante hanno contribuito a creare una situazione amichevole anche con gli altri commensali al punto che a fine pasto abbiamo stappato una bottiglia e bevuto tutti insieme.
I piatti curati, presentati benissimo, molto gustosi con uno sguardo alla tradizione ma rivisitati ed aggiornati in chiave moderna.
Un posto consigliatissimo ed assolutamente da provare.
11/01/2025: Immersed in the hills of the Asti area among splendid Barbera vineyards that seem to have just come from the beautician, there is this wonderful restaurant.
Everything is taken care of down to the smallest detail. The exterior is reminiscent of our grandparents' old farmhouses where a large part of life took place outdoors between the farmyard and the barn. Inside the atmosphere is always very warm and welcoming but also very refined and elegant. It really feels like home. All immersed in the beautiful Barbera vineyards.
We had dinner outside under the beautiful portico. The atmosphere and the environment contributed to creating a friendly situation with the other diners too, to the point that at the end of the meal we opened a bottle and drank together.
The dishes are carefully prepared, presented very well, very tasty with an eye to tradition but revisited and updated in a modern way.
A highly recommended place and absolutely worth trying.

18/03/2025: Sour coffee with an unjustified price
05/03/2025: I have been to Mara dei Boschi several times and I have always found something that did not fully convince me in terms of taste and texture but I suppose that up to this point it could be something subjective. A few days ago, however, a fairly evident disservice occurred and I did not appreciate the staff's response to my pointing this out.
I had already tasted the Sacher flavor in the past, and I knew that it was only served in a cup because it was obtained thanks to a layer of apricot compote on the bottom and one of dark chocolate ice cream on the surface. I specify that the board still specified that it was only available in cup and not in cone, which means that the same method was still in force a week ago.
When asked for the Sacher flavour, I notice that the employee puts the ice cream directly into the cup, followed by the other flavour, to which I ask her if there was compote and her colleague replies, asserting that this is already inside the ice cream, which otherwise would have been "even more dark" (?).
I give the benefit of the doubt, taking into consideration that they may have changed the recipe, but when I tasted the apricot not even a hint. Not that the chocolate was bad but it wasn't the flavor I asked for. There is the forgetfulness, but at my request they could also have adjusted during construction without inventing justifications. Also because it seems strange to me that neither of them knew how that taste was made.
Added to the fact that the other flavour, apple and cinnamon, also had very little flavour, the cinnamon was quite imperceptible and the consistency was very sorbet-like, a bit too much.

21/03/2025: When we happen to be in Pinerolo we always happily take a lunch break at Eatitaly. The food is good (a bit expensive in fact) and the location is nice. Today, however, two strange things happened: the first is that in the salad ordered by my wife, mixed with the valerian and the mixed salad, there was also a paper ball the size, to give an idea, of a paper tissue (hopefully not used). Unfortunately we only noticed it at the end. We reported the matter to the staff behind the counter (where we were sitting) who expressed an apology that was, to say the least, not even remotely heartfelt! The second strange thing is that when it came to paying, and it was not our intention to not pay for the dish ordered, not even two words of displeasure or, I don't know, two coffees offered. It's not about money but I think that a little courtesy and kindness towards customers is never out of place ..... but maybe it's enough that they only bring the money and a lot of it. Disappointment!
18/03/2025: Organized an evening with friends, unfortunately we were not satisfied with the service, due to the long wait, 35 minutes passed before we could order and then we waited about an hour to start eating... after finishing the tagliata with potatoes the bread arrived. My friend, after eating bruschetta, had to ask why after an hour and a half his tagliata had not arrived yet! As for the food, the tagliata was really small for the price paid (more than €20) and hard, while the pizza was normal. However, I was impressed by the customer service who contacted me to apologize for what happened and offer me a discount. We went back and tried the appetizers, the first course was again the tagliata which this time was very good. Congratulations

18/01/2025: Locale molto semplice, ma che ti fa sentire a casa e che riserva una bella sorpresa: pizza al padellino davvero ottima, cotta benissimo e con condimenti gustosi. Per dessert ho preso una panna cotta davvero leggera e con un topping ai frutti di bosco squisita. Personale gentilissimo. Ci torneremo di sicuro.

02/01/2025: Abbiamo cenato in questo agriturismo a conduzione famigliare e abbiamo mangiato molto bene, con prodotti genuini e materie prime molto buone. I prezzi sono in linea con la zona. Il ristorante ha un'atmosfera calda e accogliente ed è arredato con gusto. I proprietari sono gentili e cordiali. Lo consigliamo vivamente.
03/11/2024: Una brutta sorpresa e comunicata malissimo.. Abbiamo prenotato un tavolo per le 13 del primo novembre, giusto alle 13 giriamo nella via in direzione dell'agriturismo e suona il cellulare. È l'agriturismo, dicono di non andare perché per un guasto (quale?!?!) non c'è più il nostro tavolo. Per loro la telefonata sarebbe finita così, alle 13 con due bambini a bordo e 2 anziani ci liquidano così, hanno dato via il nostro tavolo, non si scusano, non pensano a proporre alternative (aspettare, dare nomi di altri posti,..) Dobbiamo noi chiedere suggerimenti per cercare di trovare una soluzione, i bambini sono affamati.. Non ci sono parole, allucinante che ci sia chi ancora pensa di fare un mestiere in questo modo.

11/03/2025: To be honest, I actually don't understand why a lot of comments are like "nice service", "speak good English" and even "handsome stuff"???
As a foreign expat, I went here because of these comments and because of myself being a huge gelato fan. However, the truth was harsh. When I went it, I greeted a guy stuff "buonasera, scusami, english?" with 100% politeness. I basically used up all my vocabulary, and to my surprise, I got a direct "NOOO" response from him, which sounded to me, quite rude 😵💫
But I had no choice but to continue, so I tried my very best to find out some other Italian vocabulary to communicate with him, and to my surprise again, he told me "I speak good Italian"... I mean I even cannot understand if it is sarcasm or not...😵Anyways, I am not actually angry at that moment but kinda speechless... I mean, the stuff should be at least treat the customer in a genuine mode, not an unbothered/whatever-ish attitude...
In general, the flavours are quite fantastic and you can feel the chef behind put much effort into this (which at least makes me want to rate 3/5 instead of 1/5...). But, the stuff at the front... I mean, I hope there will be an improvement...
