27/01/2026: Unfortunately, I find myself rowing against the grain of the recent positive reviews about this restaurant... because, like many, before trying a new place, I base my experience on them... maybe it's a coincidence... but I had a really bad meal... Usually, trattorias of this type, in these areas, offer homemade products but of good quality and well-cooked. I'm sorry, but the quality of the food and the preparation are seriously lacking. The farfalle alla carbonara was a pasta dish with an omelette (enormous pieces of egg) and large cubes of cooked ham. I can't even begin to tell you how heavy it was. I was hoping for a good second course of meatballs and peas, and here I was truly disappointed. The dish was cold... cold because it hadn't even been defrosted yet. Inedible, believe me. I'm truly sorry to leave this negative review. But it's only right that those like me who want to try a new restaurant, and perhaps park their truck a kilometer away and walk there because they trust in the good reviews, know that all that glitters is not gold. The price is certainly good, because 13 euros for a full menu isn't something everyone can afford. But I'd gladly spend two euros more to eat decently. As for me, I don't think this is the only chance I'll give this restaurant, because if most of the reviews are positive, it may mean it was a fluke.

01/02/2026: Quality food, well-cooked. We ordered a seafood/mountain dish, a first course with spaghetti, clams, and artichokes, a second course with braised beef, spinach puree, and a dessert with pears in wine, accompanied by local rosé ice cream. It's a shame it wasn't still there.

We often talked about this place, because about twenty-seven years ago he hosted a company closing dinner, inviting all his colleagues. Today, as then, we were very satisfied. 13/10/2025: We visited this restaurant on our way back from a weekend in the Ossola Valley and had a great time. The food was excellent, the service was fast, and the staff were very kind...they even pointed us in the right direction to get home! We enjoyed the appetizers (seafood salad and spinach flan with creamed parmesan), the taiarine pasta with fish ragù, and a mixed fried lake fish dish...all excellent...and the view of the lake!

10/02/2026: Rude owner, despite compliments for one of my mother's dishes, twice failed to provide an answer regarding its preparation. After a long wait (the owner was busy chatting with other guests, oblivious to our wait), we asked for the bill and it wasn't provided. The owner came to our table with a card in hand, ready to collect the money, without giving us any details about what we ordered. Worse still, as we left, he slammed the door behind us without even bothering to say hello. Parking was essentially non-existent. We asked to park in the business's private parking lot, but the owner refused, and we were forced to park far away, causing obvious inconvenience to the women in the car with us. The menu was very limited and with few options; even a simple slice of steak or something simple, which is common to most people, was missing. 5 stars for the rooms because I didn't use them.

03/04/2026: A pub in a formerly different context, thus striving for revitalization. Both the outdoor garden and the view of the distillery machinery inside the pub are highly iconic. The only peculiarity (you may or may not like it) is that all their beers are gluten-free and tend to be highly flavored. Overall, an experience I would recommend to everyone.
