11/05/2026: A magical place! We came for a short vacation and it was everything we wanted. Our room was very comfortable looking out on the mountains, so peaceful.
Everyone working here was friendly, especially the wonderful Alina, who helped us get settled in the restaurant when we arrived near the end of service (thank you!).
All in all, if you’re looking for a peaceful break with good food and good hikes, you have found the right place!
11/05/2026: An experience we'll cherish forever, a destination just an hour away from our beloved Switzerland. Impeccable food, clean rooms, fantastic animals, and friendly, courteous people.

04/05/2026: After my very first review, nine years ago, I've noticed that the quality is consistently excellent, and the menu is always up-to-date and comprehensive. The ingredients are also top-quality, and the pizza dough is perfect. Highly recommended.
02/05/2026: A great place to dine, enjoy some excellent burgers, and watch football matches on TV (although turn the volume down). The atmosphere is casual, the waiters are friendly, and the prices are average.

01/05/2026: We stood at the front of the restaurant for 20 minutes, and no one even said hello or acknowledged us. They didn’t tell us they were too busy to seat us, we just ended up leaving, along with everyone else in line for the same reason. I understand that places can get busy, but the least you can do is treat customers with respect and communicate even a simple sorry, it will be 30–60 minutes for a table, would have made a difference. Instead we were completely ignored along with a whole line of people, which made for a very disappointing experience.

15/04/2026: Yesterday was a disappointment... the portion was very generous, but the fried food consisted mostly of rings with dry batter and sticky rings inside... very few small fish and a couple of shrimp...
Honestly, I remembered SOMETHING VERY DIFFERENT.
22/03/2026: We stopped at this place simply for a coffee, but were refused service. We were told they couldn't make us a coffee. I've never heard anything like this: a restaurant being unable to serve a simple coffee, especially during lunch hours and with many customers present. We were told that since we hadn't eaten there, they couldn't serve us coffee. I find this behavior absurd and completely unjustified.
Furthermore, at that moment we really needed coffee for health reasons (low blood pressure), making the situation even more unpleasant. This attitude on the part of the staff is highly unprofessional. I do not recommend it.

4 stars for the atmosphere only because I'm not a big fan of outdoor dining, but the place wouldn't be the same if the location were different. So far, it's still the best sandwich I've ever eaten. Excellent value.

27/02/2026: We had a fantastic experience at Il Viconilo del Paninenia, and a big part of that was thanks to Vlad.
From the moment we sat down, he was attentive, friendly, and genuinely enthusiastic about the menu. He took the time to explain the different sandwich options and gave great recommendations.
The sandwiches were absolutely excellent—fresh ingredients, perfectly balanced flavors, and clearly made with care.
You can taste the quality in every bite. Vlad made sure everything arrived promptly and checked in just the right amount to ensure we were happy without being intrusive.
If you’re visiting, I highly recommend asking for Vlad. Great service and outstanding sandwiches made for a memorable meal.

25/12/2025: I photographed a wedding at Villa Serbelloni, and it is an absolutely iconic location on Lake Como.
The views over the lake are breathtaking, with classic elegance and a timeless atmosphere throughout the property.
The gardens are beautifully maintained and very scenic, perfect for portraits and ceremonies. The villa itself is stunning both outside and inside, with refined interiors and a true sense of history.
As a photographer, I found this location incredibly inspiring. One of the most elegant and recognizable wedding venues on Lake Como.

18/12/2025: Very nice atmosphere, a few indoor tables, but in the summer there is also a terrace where you can eat while enjoying a beautiful view of the lake. Very good pizzas and the pizza menu is really extensive. The staff is very kind and helpful, a truly welcoming place, we will definitely return!! Reservations are recommended.

From the very first moment, the owner welcomed us with a warm smile and an incredibly positive energy that fills the entire place.The food?Its beyond any scale of comparison. Both the pasta and the pizza are simply outstanding. I’m so impressed that if I had to choose my last meal ever… it would without a doubt be the carbonara from this restaurant. itruly love this place for its flavors, its atmosphere, and the amazing energy of the owner.
