Food Truck Dal Vezza In Veniano

What can I say? Seeing is believing, words are not enough!

High expectations, but unfulfilled. I'd been wanting to try Dal Vezza for a long time, and we finally went, alas, on the wrong night (perhaps). Without a reservation, they immediately seated us at a table and explained how it worked. So far, so good, so, tempted by the varied menu, we decided to order, and the first problems arose. One item we wanted was out of stock (it was 8:00 pm, not midnight), so, oh well, we chose something else and ordered. The food arrived at the table. I can't say I had a bad meal, but for the prices, I expected more. My wife had kebabs for €15, and I had a €16 burger with €5 for potatoes on the side because they weren't included, so over €20 for a sandwich and fries, on top of the €1.50 cover charge per person at a wooden table with a fair-style bench. I can accept the cover charge given that there were napkins, plenty of sauces, and stainless steel cutlery, as well as table service for orders and drinks, but honestly, €21 for a regular sandwich and frozen fries is crazy. We eat and order again (the portions in the photos look gigantic but are actually normal) and here comes the other problems, we order a sandwich and are told that perhaps an ingredient is missing, the waiter goes to ask and tells us that the product was available and we order but that, due to a huge table, we would have to wait for 28 people, so we calmly waited (the service times are quite long even without the huge table). After about 30 minutes of waiting, the waiter comes and tells us that one of the ingredients in the sandwich we ordered was out (not the one he had initially indicated, but another), so rather than change the order, we decide to order without that ingredient (Obviously, there is no discount at the register because we paid for it in advance since you pay at the table). We finished with desserts, choosing two from the list and guess what... one wasn't available🤣 It was already past 10 PM (I remember we sat down at 8 PM) and we chose something else. Non-homemade desserts sold for €7 at a food truck when you can pay the same for a homemade pastry shop dessert. This was our experience: the food wasn't bad, the ingredients were high-quality, but the rest of the food needs a lot of updating because it's called a food truck but the service is fair-sized and the price is the same as a restaurant.

I went yesterday for the first time, but I'd been hearing about it for a while... Well, I was extremely satisfied with everything. The location is simple, under fixed awnings, but it lacks nothing, and the sandwiches were exceptional! I ate a Gitano, and it was truly excellent, filling without feeling bloated or heavy... Highly recommended.

I often order home delivery, highly recommended top sandwiches, it's a shame about the price increases of €2/3 per sandwich lately.

I had an Antonio Diamante: the caciocavallo cheese was nonexistent, the nduja was present and good, the rest was just peppers. Bottom line. We asked for a Tuscan Vermentino (which is on the menu, see photo), and we received a Sardinian Vermentino. Those who appreciate them know the difference. Bottom line. I wouldn't return, but just for the sake of the name, I recommend it.

Good evening For various reasons, I hadn't eaten the last EXCELLENT sandwich at Vezza in three years. The other night, my partner made a reservation. The staff was incredibly kind and fast, but we were disappointed with the quality of the products (everything from the burger to the grilled pepper tasted like nothing). Unfortunately, the sandwich was nothing like the one we had three years ago when Chef Vezza was there.

The sandwiches were good, although I would have preferred a slightly softer type of bread. The beers were flat.

This place is always 5 stars. 4 stars for the atmosphere only because I'm not a big fan of outdoor dining, but the place wouldn't be the same if the location were different. So far, it's still the best sandwich I've ever eaten. Excellent value.

Amazing sandwiches. Excellent beer and fair prices. Must try!
