01/09/2025: We booked a table for two in the garden, adjacent to the loggia, with a splendid view of the castle. We wanted a romantic dinner to celebrate a birthday and were more than satisfied. Welcome rose, carefully prepared dishes, and balanced portions. Very professional, attentive, and courteous staff. A truly beautiful evening in an exclusive location. A varied menu with traditional appetizers, first courses, and second courses. The giardiniera was top-notch! But I would have included the pisarei (the only flaw: I'm crazy about pisarei). Otherwise, everything was truly perfect. We'll be back!

16/11/2025: Everything was delicious, the staff were truly excellent, kind and attentive, the atmosphere was young, but not very bright for me, who was a bit blind 😅

12/10/2025: A restaurant in the upper Tidone Valley that serves only pizza and the traditional Batarò, delicious focaccias that can be filled with cured meats and cheeses of your choice. The pizza is also delicious and very light. The staff are friendly and attentive. A pleasant stop to combine with a visit to the beautiful village of Caminata.

02/11/2025: A surprise set menu; you don't know what you're going to eat. There were 8 or 9 courses. Everything was delicious, with just the right amount of spices and no fusion cuisine. We stumbled upon it by chance and were so glad we did. If you can afford a little more, this place won't disappoint. Oh! And the bread they save for you to take home is extraordinary.

16/11/2025: I can confirm, after not being there for a while, the quality of the ingredients served and the service; it's been a while since I've had such delicious fried mushrooms and bruschetta with diced tomatoes that would blow away, on top of everything else. The bathrooms are spotless and well-stocked.

20/11/2025: Some friends and I went to a nursing home to visit a mutual friend. After the visit, we decided to have lunch and so we had the opportunity to visit this restaurant near the facility. It was a pleasant surprise. The restaurant isn't very large but is tastefully decorated. We chose the €15 first course menu. It consisted of an entrée with beetroot sauce, delicate in flavor and delicious. Pieces of their homemade focaccia were served. Delicious. A friend who didn't want the sauce was immediately served with various vegetables. For our first course, we chose short pasta with cherry tomato and fish sauce. The dishes were well-structured and tasty. Dessert and coffee were also included. A bottle of sparkling water and a bottle of still water were also included. My neighbor was served a glass of sparkling white wine, which was of good quality. Finally, a special mention for the courtesy and kindness of the staff. Overall, a positive experience, and a good price, too.

07/11/2025: It's been a while since I've been here, and I have to say I was very satisfied. The evening menu offers a surprise menu, but it can be customized upon request. I chose the cooked fish menu, which was very pleasant, tasty, and beautifully prepared, even in terms of presentation. I definitely want to return to try more.

10/12/2025: I've never seen anything like this. A slice of pizza, two taralli, and olives cost €15. Management changed. They'll never see me again...

08/12/2025: Probably one of the worst, if not The Worst, pizza I've ever experienced, and I've had my share of American pizza places over the years. The calzone, normally an easy call even for the less experienced venues (only 3 ingredients), came in a shapeless, almost squashed lump, inside the box. Ingredients used were of very mediocre quality and almost tasteless. The dough had no flavour but someone had decided it was a good idea to spinkle all over it an excess of salt powder, rendering the whole thing inedible. Threw it in the garbage bin, will never go back to this place. With so many good pizza places in Piacenza, no need to waste your time and money at Donna Sophia.

03/12/2025: The only bar in Piacenza that opens at 7am, then I found croissants from the next day that when I ate them I felt a bad taste in my mouth, burnt coffee, and I think that they haven't cleaned the coffee machine for a long time.
