20/04/2026: Lackluster tasting menu. Flavors missing, or too much (lime, ponzu, teriyaki, miso, spicy mayo, etc). Rice is terribly unflavored and hard. Basic tempura shrimp with spicy mayo and teriyaki sauce. Last dish—tempura fish was over dried. Caviar was FAKE, I’m Russian, don’t try that…all the flavors of the fish felt disguised by too much sauce. The tiramisu dessert was pretty good but too sweet. The sesame ice cream was pretty good.
Drinks—Beluga vodka martini, extra dirty. Delicious drink, definitely hit it here. Could have had better olive option though—we are in Naples!
Service was pretty good. Attentive, BUT we had to ask them to slow down each stage. Before we did one plate wouldn’t even leave the room before next one arrived.

01/01/2026: We went for lunch and were treated wonderfully. We hadn't made a reservation and there were no tables available, so we had to wait a little while, but they were very quick to find us a spot. They even brought bread for my daughters during the short wait. The restaurant was very pleasant, and the staff were incredibly attentive and fast. The food was spectacular and reasonably priced. If we return to Naples, we'll definitely stop by Nonna Elena.

27/04/2026: We were there a few days ago, and it was a terrible experience overall.
As a huge fan of pizzaingrammi (only Pozzuoli, though! Pomigliano is not, Quarto is NOT!), I have to give one star to this unpleasant evening.
We sat down on a quiet evening with very few tables occupied, and a waitress, whom we'll call Miriam, for the sake of fantasy, forgot to bring us drinks (except for the water she brought us right before we even ordered). We pointed this out twice to the same waitress, who decided to bring us Fanta after the appetizers arrived.
We ordered two arancini, one with lemon (completely unlike the one in Pozzuoli in terms of flavor and tastiness) and another with cacio e pepe, recommended by Miriam.
When the latter arrived, we noticed that the cacio e pepe arancini had a creamy sauce that smelled strongly of onion (what this has to do with the cacio e pepe, let me know privately). We point this out to sweet Miriam, who pulls out of her hat a "No, don't worry, it's not onion, it's speck jam."
Are you sure, Miriam?
Yes, I'm absolutely sure.
We go to try it, and ladies and gentlemen, it was indeed caramelized onion (caramelized to a fault, but it was onion).
We eat the arancini, the inedible cacio e pepe one, and we call our Miriam to point it out to her.
"Look, it was onion anyway, be careful, you're killing people like that."
She, incredulous, replies, "Well, that seems strange. I'll ask the chef now."
Several days have passed now, and we're still waiting for a response (or an apology, eh?) from Miriam, who continued serving us dinner without ever mentioning the subject again. I've never seen such unprofessionalism in my life.
I'll finish with the pizzas. Mine was made with Black Angus (very good), stracciata, arugula (horrible), and a lemon zest that never arrived. It had a nice mustache, as we pizza chefs say (😉). Honestly, I would never have served it to a customer, especially since it's basically a focaccia with all the raw ingredients, so you really have no right to remake it.
Too bad, zero customer service, zero professionalism, zero expectations.
A bad night, Miriam?
Only and always Pozzuoli.
Never again.

01/02/2026: Until today, January 31, 2026, we had come often, only on Saturday evenings, eating mixed fried food, various cold cuts, and mostly pizza. Everything was excellent, both in terms of quality and the ingredients used.
Today we're here for lunch. The daily menu features quality dishes and local products. The service is excellent, the dishes are generous, and, what's more, you can have seconds if you want. I don't think you can ask for more if you want to spend a Sunday with your family in a welcoming location surrounded by spectacular greenery.
Well done, keep it up!

01/02/2026: We wanted to try it because it was recommended to us. I have to say the crocche were good and stringy👍the montanara on the other hand had a hard dough (for my taste) but good. The pizzas, on the other hand, had really excellent ingredients, both my panciotto was very delicate (delicious yellow datterini tomatoes), while the diavola was a little too strong and the salami (my thing) I preferred it in strips, in rounds seems a bit poor. In any case, the light dough, even if I don't know how to explain it, didn't convince me. Always personal opinion 🙌

03/12/2025: This evening my boyfriend and I went. We had a cuore caldo and a pistachio pandoro brioche. Both were excellent, with lots of fillings and plenty of it. It was our first time there, and I was so happy we tried it. It's worth it. The price isn't that high; in fact, other places that try to offer something like this actually sell it for more! It's a very special dough; in fact, I've never had anything like it. My compliments, and I'm happy to see this guy's success. God bless you!

04/05/2026: I went to Esperia this evening for my birthday dinner, and I was quite disappointed. The location was breathtaking, but the food absolutely couldn't compete. We started off quite well with an appetizer consisting of various tastings—nothing exceptional, but good. As for the entrees, things took a turn for the worse, with a truly unpleasant nerano and a tasteless tagliolini with butter and truffle. The dessert was also nothing to write home about. It's a shame because the restaurant itself is truly beautiful and the service is good.
03/05/2026: A very elegant restaurant with a breathtaking view from the terrace, where you can dine. The food is truly delicious; the appetizers are highly recommended. The first courses are also excellent (I had the Genovese), and the grilled meats are varied and high-quality. The restaurant is part of the Slow Food network. The wine list is also very good, and the service is impeccable. The quality-price ratio is excellent.

07/04/2026: I'd been to this place before and liked it.
A few weeks ago, invited to celebrate a friend's birthday, I noticed some differences compared to the past. The platter photographed on the menu was something else entirely: Milanese salami, Hungarian salami, pancetta, and mortadella, all industrial and highly processed products. The same goes for the cheese (industrial with various flavorings). Furthermore, there were no mozzarella, ricotta, or slices of dried sausage (all of which were shown in the photos). I didn't eat anything.
The sandwich (made with pizza dough, good) with the Genovese had a strip of onion that wasn't there.
The only tasty thing was the accompanying focaccia.
The Margherita, a good dough, but topped not with peeled tomatoes, but with a very savory passata and a unique mozzarella.
The service was polite and prompt.
Moral of the story: since the dough is good, take care with the fillings and toppings. For the cutting board, use the English criterion "Less is more".
