30/08/2025: A pleasant discovery! Excellent trattoria inside the farmhouse next to the main road, you don't even have to leave. Quick service and delicious, abundant typical Basilicata dishes. Pictured are Lucanian-style ferricelli and cacciatore-style rabbit. More than fair price. I'd go back!

27/08/2025: Abbiamo mangiato ottimamente, da anni in questo periodo ci andiamo e anche quest'anno siamo rimasti soddisfatti, noto con piacere che la proprietaria e il personale sono attenti alle normative covid e accolgono i clienti in un'ambiente sicuro e famigliare. Piatti abbondanti e sconsigliati per chi è a dieta.

17/09/2025: We had a crepe and if you are passing by or you want one I recommend stopping by for the quality and speed, the staff are also great!

30/08/2025: The gelato here is just the right amount of sweet and delicious! I tried the pistachio, caramel, and lemon flavors, and all three were tasty.

24/02/2026: This bakery represents the history of the city of Matera. I've personally had the opportunity to try numerous types of focaccia barese, which has its roots in the Bari Vecchia district. I can rightfully say that Paoluccio surpasses, albeit just barely, even the famous bakeries of Bari. The location of the business makes it easy to stroll among the wonders of the capital of rural civilization, with a fragrant piece of focaccia in hand. We highly recommend tasting the authentic Pane di Matera, an ancient product that is very different from the more commercialized Pane di Altamura PGI. A shout-out to those who continue the traditions.

10/07/2026: Delicious pizzeria with surprising pairings. The service was rather slow and disorganized...we were halfway through the pizza when the beer arrived.

19/05/2026: A panoramic restaurant overlooking the Sassi... Seeing is believing. Evocative. For those who love Lucanian cuisine, this is the perfect place.

09/07/2026: I ate a little while ago and the food was terrible, plus the raw food had a very unpleasant smell. I said I couldn't eat it, and we didn't eat anything. They still charged us the amount indicated on the bill and added an extra dish that we hadn't eaten.

02/07/2026: Casello 75 in Matera was one of the best meals we had on our trip. It came highly recommended by friends and did not disappoint. We sat on the beautiful terrace and received warm, friendly service throughout the evening. We shared everything, starting with the delicious Matera bread and local olive oil, along with a fresh mixed salad. The Pizzella Pugliese with burrata, basil and tomato was excellent. The almond and burrata filled ravioli with roasted tomato sauce and hamachi was absolutely delicious. The entrecôte with cherry tomatoes and rocket was cooked perfectly, and the baked potatoes were excellent. We also enjoyed a wonderful bottle of local white wine from the Basilicata region. To finish, the affogato was to die for. A fantastic meal and a restaurant I would highly recommend in Matera

27/03/2026: The dinner was average in terms of flavor. It's a shame that the menus provided at the tables are absolutely dated, and almost nothing you order, other than pizza, is available or true to the description. We tried orecchiette with cardoncelli mushrooms and sausage, but they weren't available, so we settled for the tagliata with porcini mushrooms. Two tagliata for €18 each... and they arrived without porcini mushrooms. They were accompanied by a sad pile of arugula and pecorino cheese (grated, not even flakes). The flavor was okay... but frankly, not what we ordered. We tried to mention this to the manager at checkout. He apologized but couldn't do anything about the final price. The result: a dinner priced disproportionately for the setting and service, and above all, completely different from what we originally ordered. What a shame... so little would have been enough!

20/03/2026: Great place for casual lunch, or special dinner. The menu is quite limited, but they cook everything perfectly, pizza is available for both lunch and dinner, and is excellent. Service is great, and prices are reasonable.

04/03/2026: I'll start by saying that it was Saturday night and it was quite crowded. We did eat well, but unfortunately we were surprised by the very low level of response from one waiter. After constant calls and waiting, we were told "I'm not the only one here." This ruined everything. I'm sorry, but fortunately another waitress partially resolved the issue. I understand Saturday night. I understand the lack of staff, but certain responses shouldn't be given.

07/03/2026: My stay in the city was perfect. Panifico Cifarelli is unique, perfect. Brazil loved it.

10/02/2026: Returning after eight years, you'll find the same quality, courtesy, and passion. The Matera bread is excellent, as are the croissants, the sweet donuts, the focaccia, and the taralli... A truly historic bakery, run by the passion of a true master baker.

10/08/2026: We didn't try the food, but it's definitely a great place for a drink. The waiter and waitress speak excellent English and are lovely. The terrace is nice, overlooking a lively square with soft lounge music playing in the background. It was perfect for a pre-dinner drink and I'd definitely recommend it.

24/07/2026: We came here just because we heard the great voice of the singer! It was the best night we had. Very good music and cery good coctails. Grazie Cinzia and Pino and of course the lovely waiter that i don’t know his name.. ❤️

24/07/2026: The beer’s price is quite expensive compared to other places. But their food menu is quite good and affordable. We watched a World Cup game there.

16/05/2026: Absolutely not to go back, 1h40 waiting for the pizza and on top of that we left because there was no room between the tables which were too narrow!

06/05/2026: Arabiatta was not spucy at all. The chef didn't use garlic. We had to wait for over an hour to be served. Spaghetti alla assessisana also boring, tasteless.
