01/04/2026: We were greeted very kindly by the owner, who recommended local dishes and answered our questions. The peperoni cruschi were perfectly crunchy, and the pasta was delicious. Excellent value. The restaurant is part of one of the "American houses" described by Carlo Levi and is adorned with horned masks and other references to local culture. Thank you for your hospitality! 🤗

The price-value ratio is also perfect. The food was ready quickly. After payment, there is a number on the block, they call it that.
Absolutely tourist-friendly place! 🍝 I can only recommend it! A bowl of divine pasta costs between 7.5-8€.

22/12/2025: A quaint and welcoming atmosphere, a warm and pleasant place with Italian music playing in the background. The place is very tidy and clean. The staff is kind and attentive. We enjoyed a bruschetta with crumbled sausage and melted cheese, truly delicious, and an Irish burger with cheddar and bacon, accompanied by crispy fries.
To finish, a delicious tiramisu.

07/07/2026: I've been to the Hermes Restaurant in Policoro several times, and each time has been a confirmation. It's one of those places you'll want to return to because you know you'll eat well.
The quality of the ingredients is always high, the dishes are carefully prepared, and the fish is truly excellent. The service also deserves a mention: the staff is courteous, professional, and always attentive to the customer.
It's not easy to maintain consistency over time, but Hermes manages it. For me, it's a guarantee and a go-to place when I want to spend a pleasant evening eating well.
Congratulations to the entire staff; keep up the good work! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

10/05/2026: I was in Matera 3 days. The restaurant was never open and the doors locked. On the street level there was a large menu board and a few tables but it looks like they are closed at least temporary. No signs that say they are closed but it sure looks that way.

We were four adults and a two-year-old child, and we had a truly wonderful time.
The food was delicious, and the staff was patient, kind, and truly talented. There are so many animals—peacocks, cows, donkeys, ponies, horses, chickens, pigs, and bunnies—that make it perfect for both adults and children.
The farm-style play area and outdoor relaxation area are also lovely. An ideal experience for families; we'll definitely be back!
