03/09/2025: I've been coming to Marina di Castagneto for over 20 years and have never written about this place. I've always been a regular because it has excellent products, but if I had to express an opinion, I would have had to mention the manners, and I didn't want to be negative.... Enough now, unfortunately I have to: empty oven, early September, a thousand different pizzas, the first thing I ask is if they have Margherita. They tell me no, I ask if they're making it and they tell me no (in a half-hearted and rude way). I give up and order more pizzas. As I'm about to leave, the Margherita comes out. I ask, since it's available, if we can have those, and the girl replies, "No, I can't exchange them!", instead of apologizing, since I had specifically asked for the Margherita. I'm about to leave and then she says, "Okay, I'll exchange them for you," as if it were a concession.... I take the pizzas and leave, not without calling them both rude, who instead of serving are acting arrogant behind the counter. I leave and they start laughing. I wonder why they don't stay home if they don't want to work. The staff is unpresentable, rude, and incapable of dealing with the public. The bakery is open during certain hours, then maybe one day they don't open and put up a "Closed Today" sign. What a shame! Excellent products, but a complete inability to run a business professionally. Furthermore, I've seen them use degreaser on the baking sheets—in direct contact with food—without rinsing!!! This business should be put in more capable hands.

20/08/2025: Excellent pizza by the slice; the two clerks are quick and friendly. You can also enjoy their delicacies outside. Their focaccias are legendary, filled with excellent ingredients. Their desserts are also fantastic.

03/10/2025: If you are staying at Napoli City Center Apts and receive a breakfast ticket to this place, be very specific with your order. Most people do not speak English, so use your phone to translate. 2 out of our 3 mornings they gave us food without our coffee. To their credit I did order the croissants first, so maybe I needed to order the coffee first. We did enjoy the pistachio and chocolate croissants. They were very delicious. On the last morning when we finally got our cappuccinos they were also very good. This place moves very quickly and gets busy. If you're a tourist you have to be on point before you get there. Please remember, Italians speak Italian. They are not obligated to speak English. Treat people respectfully and you will be treated kindly as well. Everyone who helped us was nice.

26/08/2025: It's small, the cashier is grumpy and rude, the food is terrible, zero quality, the only good thing is that things are brought immediately but this is only because it's empty, probably because of the terrible quality.

19/07/2025: I wouldn't go back at all. If you want to pay by card, the lady asks you for cash, she doesn't give you anything, the portions are small and the taste isn't great.

03/10/2025: The worst catering I've ever served on a production I've worked on. Food was served slowly, the last-come, first-served had more choices than the first-served. The portions were poor, and there were arguments over two bottles of water or a Coke. Plus, it's not a 33cl bottle, it's from a vending machine. I hope the production company never uses it again.

This is a piadina with toppings and mozzarella that tasted like sliced ​​cheese. My stomach was upset all day, 24 hours to digest it and then thirst, so thirsty. I don't recommend it.

01/11/2025: I hadn't booked (October 31, 2025), but the place was pretty empty. The food was quite good; the sashimi was nothing special, the scallops weren't very fresh, but otherwise, it was average. Some of the dishes I ordered didn't arrive.

30/10/2025: Terrible experience, even though we were the second table in the service, the place appears dirty, don't look up because it's even worse, cold dishes (too cold, obviously leftovers from the day before taken from the fridge, especially the tempura. Dishes that don't arrive unless requested, if you move your eyes around you will see that there is no minimum cleaning and the icing on the cake was the post-lunch, out of 8 people 6 were sick. I trust in a visit from the NAS, unfortunately I didn't think to take photos but nothing stops me from making another visit to take a couple of shots and report it to the relevant people.

25/08/2025: The location is nice, the owner (or manager) is really good, courteous, and knowledgeable. He makes you feel at home. We had a 1kg TBON and a wagyu steak: good. Side dishes: baked potatoes and grilled asparagus: good. To start, a black truffle tartare, freshly baked focaccia, and seasoned prosciutto: good. It's a shame that the waiters were a bit inattentive: Drinks were requested three times and arrived after the food. Some uncertainty about the cutlery, which was brought after the food arrived, always upon request. The location is nice. The price is reasonable for the amount of food. Ah! It's no longer called MEZZA LUNA but SARKOS.

29/04/2025: The restaurant is definitely overpriced for what it offers. I went for dinner on Sunday evening, and most of the dishes on the menu were unavailable. I had a mixed grill, but it was tough and stringy. I wanted a mixed salad, but I had to settle for a radicchio salad since they had nothing else. Charging €17 for a rather meager fried calamari served as an appetizer seemed truly excessive!

16/03/2025: The place has a pleasant appearance, with exposed stone walls and a sense of order and cleanliness. Dinner was a bit of a surprise; we wanted to order meat dishes, as described on the menu, but there wasn't enough for four people, and we were told they mainly make pizzas. The Argentine Angus beef that was available was served, but it was cold and didn't show off its best qualities. What a shame.
