25/08/2024: We ate there one evening on site and got takeaway another evening. The polenta with wild mushrooms is delicious. The shin is also very good. Very kind and friendly staff. Cozy place. And I add that it is one of the few restaurants that still offers typical dishes from Val Gardena. We will definitely be back. Advised

Ho pagato 9€ per una pizzetta surgelata che era dura e minuscola, 3,50€ per un acqua e 7,50€ per una birra PICCOLA che tra l’altro era pure la birra spillata peggio che io abbia mai visto, non era riempita a malapena a 3/4 del bicchiere, io onestamente mi sento truffato, per non parlare dello staff incompetente che non riusciva neanche a fare due calcoli a mente e quello che ha fatto con la calcolatrice credo pure siano sbagliati, perché pagare una birra PICCOLA 7,50€ non mi sembra il caso. Non lo consiglio a nessuno, non ci verro mai piu.

20/09/2024: My wife and I could not have loved our stay more! Fantastic time, incredible food and great service. Their whole family really makes you feel like a part of their own. My only suggestion is to stay longer than three nights. They recommended us to a hike that was easily the most beautiful hike we’ve ever been on. It felt like four Yosemites. Thank you all so much again!

02/09/2024: Meraviglia terrazza raggiungibile prendendo il " trenino " funicolare da Ortisei. Abbiamo ordinato dei frutti di bosco e due birre, siamo stati più che soddisfatti. Personale gentile

23/08/2024: Bello chalet posto all'uscita della funicolare. Personale molto gentile e sorridente. Stanze poste su due piani, zona giorno e zona notte arredate in legno e molto spaziose, complete di tutto. Servizio veloce. Consumate due ottime cene con menu tipico della zona. Colazione abbondante con prodotti dolci e salati. Il gestore è una persona molto gentile e disponibile. Consigliato.

08/12/2024: Let's start by saying that I am a professional chef and I never give reviews to my fellow restaurateurs, but this time I have to. Let's start from a principled ideal that if I make you a constructive observation I don't see why you should respond to me with a meaningless joke... Let's begin our adventure with a present from the kitchen, or rather from a supermarket, the Russian salad which without infamy nor praise it was good, but certainly not homemade. On a positive note, the three very very kind waiters, the girl at the counter could have spared herself the rude joke about desserts because you never know who you are dealing with. Good and excellent platter of cold cuts and cheeses to share, good desserts too. We get to the dish that they took as an "offense" on my part towards them, and then made the joke made by this girl, goulash 24 euros for 4 pieces, I repeat 4 pieces which must have been 80 grams of meat without salt , 4 cross-boiled vegetables without salt, also the latter, and finally 2 polenta cakes which were completely cold. I am attaching a photo to confirm that it was 4 pieces of meat. I conclude...at least having had the decency to apologize instead of responding with a joke, it would have been more polite and respectful! 130 excessive receipt to be absolutely avoided

27/08/2024: I discovered Osteria Da Checco my first night in The Dolomites and was I ever happy because it became my go to place. The food is amazing, the restaurant itself has an incredible view. And best of all the staff are welcoming and friendly. Their main concern is that you are happy and well served. I ate many dishes on the menu, the beef tartare, the rib steak, the octopus salad, Checco’s spareribs (a must), and the veal wiener schnitzel. Everything dish is superb. They also have an incredible wine list. And their olive oil is so good you’ll want to drink it. If you’re in Ortisei this place is a must. A special thank you to everyone that took care of me.

26/08/2024: Beautiful environment. The owner is kind, but not so the girls serving. Never a hint of a smile. Very dry in their ways. Microfiltered water at 5 euros is an exaggerated price. The price of all dishes is supported. Then for heaven's sake... you are in Ortisei...

29/08/2024: Cibo ottimo, specialmente i canederli su fonduta di formaggio pinoli e uvetta. Personale veloce e professionale. Consigliatissimo! Ci ritorneremo sicuramente.

28/08/2024: Fuimos en familia cuando en la zona de Val Gardena Una experiencia bastante caótica y decepcionante Lo más destacado fue la hermosa mesa al aire libre. El descanso fue decepcionante Los filetes sabrosos de comida pedidos raros estaban bien hechos y la carbonara que pedí no era comestible como tan salada El servicio fue una comedia de errores con 2 pizzas que aparecen al azar en nuestra mesa mientras estábamos comiendo bebidas. Trajeron los antipasti y la red al mismo tiempo, y faltaban todos los lados con los filetes ¡Qué experiencia!

16/08/2024: The worst Service that I have ever had in my life. I got charged double on my Credit Card for drinks I had at Hotel genziana. When I noticed this a couple of days later i wrote an email. They did not reply. I decided to call them. At the telephone they Said I need to resend the email and they will reply me. They did not reply. When I called back the Lady on the telephone was so annoyed and just Basta finito and hung up on me. It has been 3 weeks now with 3 emails and no replies. 4 phone calls from Germany to Italy which costed me about 5€. I Never received the money back. The Service at the hotel is terrible.
