24/08/2025: Superlative dinner, top-quality ingredients, and dishes that transport you to another dimension. I've never tasted such delicious speck. The first and second courses were also excellent, and the tiramisu was top-notch. The entire staff was friendly and professional. I hope to return soon!

05/08/2025: Never again!! Ordered a platter... 2 slices of cheese. 1 fresh and 1 stale bread, but above all the speck... it was all fatty speck lard, and after tasting it I didn't eat it. With a radler total €23.20 without a receipt.

01/08/2025: In the middle of the Alpe di Siusi, a rather small mountain hut where you can stop and enjoy a good meal at relatively reasonable prices. A pleasant place, a true refuge, especially when it's raining or when you don't want to embark on any particularly strenuous hikes. It's just a half hour from the cable car that takes you up to the Alpe di Siusi.

13/07/2025: They have 2 set menus & a few daily options where you can choose what to eat. The meals and ingredients were very delicious 🫶🏻

16/08/2025: We gladly return every year to this refuge, which maintains its authenticity, perhaps due to the fact that the climb is challenging and therefore not as popular as other refuges in the area. The food is good, authentic, and reasonably priced, and the beautiful walk on the glaciological trail rounds off the day perfectly.

27/07/2025: Booked for a single night in July. Price: €65 per person for bed and breakfast. The owner is very kind and welcoming. Located just a few meters from the town center. You can walk everywhere. Parking is available. The breakfast in the morning is just right. A few items, but essential. I would just recommend an extra cake or tart. Our room also had a balcony. It was clean and had a TV. The bathroom was small but well-equipped. I recommend changing the pillows and giving them firmer regular pillows; the ones provided are "empty." Otherwise, I recommend it for a quick stopover.

07/08/2025: We stayed at Schgaguler expecting high-end value for the €450+/night rate. While the aesthetics and warm service (especially from Simon and Peter) impressed, the functionality and overall sense of value fell short. The positives: beautifully clean rooms with thoughtful touches like bath salts and fresh tea, stunning views, a well-equipped gym, and a pleasant breakfast with a small buffet and made-to-order options. Afternoon tea cakes were a welcome touch. However, the wellness area disappointed. The “ice room” which I looked forward to never worked, and the wider space lacks basic functional elements — no clear labels on buttons, no posted sauna temperatures, and no visible cold drinking water (though there was hot tea). We were also surprised that spa elements like the “mud room” and hiking excursions cost extra, especially given their presentation on the website and our prior experiences at similarly priced hotels in the region where such offerings were included. Room design leans heavily on form over function: no shower door leads to water spreading into the living area, the space steams up quickly, and ventilation is poor. The designer sink splashes due to its awkward geometry — the long faucet pours directly onto a flat convex drain, making it messy to use. Breakfast felt unnecessarily restricted — simple items like cheese or cold cuts must be ordered à la carte, served on oversized plates at small tables, slowing the experience. We were even told by our waitress to “order a little bit at a time” as if to suggest we should slow down - which we felt was disrespectful of our morning schedule. Schgaguler has real potential. A shift toward functional luxury would elevate the experience: include the “melarium” in the base wellness offering (as your website implies), expand the buffet rather than leaning so heavily on à la carte, and ensure the ice room — and basic spa clarity — are fully operational.

21/07/2025: A stunningly beautiful and architecturally unique hotel!!! 🤩 Since we had previously stayed at another (also very high-quality) hotel in Siusi for years, we initially had some doubts, but these were quickly dispelled, and after our third stay, we can summarize by saying that we feel completely at home here. The location (directly from the hotel on foot to the Alpe di Siusi), the rooms (totally modern and stylish), the service (competent, attentive, prompt), and the excellent food (a la carte breakfast, cake buffet in the afternoon, and a first-class 5-course dinner) simply leave nothing to be desired. 😍 We would especially like to thank Simon at the reception, who always listens to us and is always there to help and advise us – and of course, Sandra, too; she is a top-notch sommelier and otherwise a helpful and unique person. 🙏🤗❤️ Thank goodness we've now found the right hotel for us and have already booked again for September 😅🤩 Thanks and see you soon, Alex and Elke 🤗

27/08/2025: We came to the Vives restaurant in Ortisei with friends who already knew it... An excellent experience! The welcoming atmosphere makes dinner even more special. The staff is extremely kind, attentive, and always ready to recommend dishes and wines. The cuisine is truly top-notch: excellent ingredients, carefully crafted and creative dishes that combine tradition and innovation. The desserts are also extraordinary, beautiful to look at and delicious to taste. A restaurant absolutely worth a visit in Ortisei, perfect for lunch, dinner, or a special occasion. Fulvio

21/08/2025: My boyfriend and I stayed three days at this magnificent hotel to fully enjoy the mountains, relaxing and hiking in the various refuges. The hotel is right in the center, convenient for reaching Alpe di Siusi, Val Gardena, and Ortisei. All the staff were super friendly, they pamper you and make you feel at ease. The only negative is the breakfast (they have the same cakes every day, they should vary a bit) and the lack of fresh fruit; there were always strawberries and fruit in syrup. We also really enjoyed the spa, a relaxing moment with a beautiful panoramic view.

24/08/2025: ...simply thieves.... Buying a slice of sardenaira-style pizza for 10 euros is pure madness, no justification, just dishonesty.... Unfortunately, my partner is ashamed to say "I won't buy it anymore," and unfortunately I wasn't there....

20/08/2025: My family and I ate for lunch, there were 4 of us, the place was clean and very busy, we ordered the mashed potatoes as a starter and it was very good and tasty, we had 4 first courses and a second course, 2 porcini mushroom risottos with the addition of black truffle, a simple mushroom risotto and a spaghetti with tomato and buffalo burrata, as a second course a lamb shank, the first courses were very good, the only flaw was the fact that the mushroom risotto cost €30 and the addition of truffle made the price rise to €50 without even showing us the weighing of the truffle (which is usually done in restaurants that sell it), the lamb shank did not have a good flavour, the meat was probably from an older lamb (to make me understand better it was sheep not lamb), despite these flaws we ate well so it deserves 4 stars in total, last comment the waiter is a bit too know-it-all but I imagine he does it to appear nice Some people probably like it, but not personally, but the service was precise and punctual, so 4 stars.

27/08/2025: The restaurant is beautiful, the dishes I ordered were exceptional (Trentino spinach gnocchi and the chocolate cake were delicious), but the service was terrible: we waited over an hour for water, and we had to ask twice for bread. They're understaffed, and the two staff members were completely disorganized. Too bad.

25/08/2025: Excellent terrace with a spectacular view, excellent, refined, and high-quality dishes. I recommend lunch or dinner to everyone.
