01/09/2024: One of the best pizzerias we've been to, during our stay in Dolomites. Selection of pizza is limitless ;) prices are one of the best we've seen among other pizzerias, service was good, would one need anything more? :)

20/08/2024: The best food after a hike. A small place, but with very tasty home made food and personal. Also a nice place per general with small animals for kids (not only) and chairs to rest. Whatever I had the possibility I came here! Great job! (and yes, my favourites where the knödles with nettle)

10/08/2024: Wir sind heute zur Hütte zum Mittagessen zugekehrt und freuten uns über ein fröhliches Mittagessen unter Freunden mit einer tollen Aussicht. Die Aussicht auf die Berge war ja prima und das wissen die Betreiber auch, denn dadurch haben sie beschlossen sich um nichts anderes zu kümmern, was Kundenbetreuung, Zufriedenheit oder Qualität anbelangt. Wir bestellen Knödel auf Krautsalat - die Spinatknödel kommen wörtlich nach 3 Minuten nach Bestellung - trocken, kalt und geschmacklos - darauf hin fragen wir die Kellner ob wir etwas Butter darauf haben könnten. 2 Minuten später kommen die Knödel ebenso trocken und traurig wieder zurück. Dessert (Kniakiachlen) waren gut. Kaffee: leider Bestellung falsch. Als wir beim Bezahlen, auf die Frage: “ war alles ok?” Mit: “ naja, diese Knödel wohl wirklich nicht ok.” antworten, entgegnet uns ein sehr junger, offensichtlich noch nicht in Manieren trainierter Kellner sehr arrogant und schnippisch: ”ach, jaja die Köche sagen das kann schon passen so.” An dieser Stelle verstehe ich, dass auf dieser Hütte nicht nur die Knödel, sondern viel mehr das Personal (Besitzer?) geschmacklos sind. Schade, dass man hier nur versucht soviel wie möglich von der Turisten abzuzocken und keinen Wert auf die lokale Kundschaft legt.. wir sind nämlich “do-ige” und unterscheiden sehr wohl einen ordentlichen Knödel von dem Zeug, den man uns heute serviert hat. - für 14 € zwei Spinatknödel. Klar ist, dass wir da nie wieder hin werden aber sehr gerne dafür sorgen werden, dass so viele Einheimische wie möglich diese Turisten-falle vermeiden und auch Turisten drauf aufmerksam machen werden, dass es von solchen Hütten jede Menge gibt.. und auf anderen isst man sogar gut und wird gar nicht veräppelt! Da evitare assolutamente. Personale arrogante ed impreparato e cibo scadente. Noi gente del posto lo evitiamo categoricamente. Che dispiacere questi posti senza cuore.

09/08/2024: Malga Contrin, la seconda malga del nostro viaggio all'Alpe di Siusi, la prima dove ci fermiamo a pranzare, si perché si presenta molto bene già dall esterno, con una bella terrazza panoramica esterna, con zone di sole e zone di ombra, la parte dei lettini dove ci si può riposare, le mucche in alpeggio e le caprette alle quali si dà un ciuffetto d erba. La salita è invitante e quando si arriva alla Malga Contrin il panorama è mozzafiato. Ordinati due primi e due birre, il servizio è gentile e disponibile. I ragazzi sono bravi e svegli. I piatti molto prelibati danno la giusta carica per ripartire. Oltre agli animali ci sono anche i salta salta, i giochi con la sabbia e un altalena, come quasi tutte le Malghe.

09/07/2024: Lovely family running a lovely green place, clean, good price-quality ratio. Hut is located a little lower compared to many other huts in the Dolomites (between 1600 - 1700), which means hikers are less tempted to sleep here, but this is a missed chance! The food (both meat and vegetarian options) is amazing, there is personal contact with the owners and they are willing to think along and give you advice about the routes and weather. Besides, there is a beautiful terrace where you can enjoy the view at cosy summer nights. We enjoyed our stay very much here!

01/07/2024: We arrived late as we missed our train to Bolzano and were thus delayed to start our hike up. The family was super accommodating and we were made an amazing bowl of pasta despite arriving so late. The hut is clean, food and beer delicious, breakfast is plentiful, and the prices are great. The rooms themselves are quite cozy and the scenery around the hut is breathtaking. 10/10 recommend!

22/08/2024: And already the second year that we return to this magnificent hotel, upon our arrival a pleasant surprise: the entire modernized hall with beautiful panoramic windows overlooking the Sciliar and a spacious bar room. But let's start from the reason why we chose the hotel: direct access to the paths in summer and to the ski slopes in winter, in fact the hotel has a ski room where you go out and are directly on the slopes. The cuisine exceeded our gourmet expectations: a mix of tradition and gourmet, with preference for local and quality products. Friendliness and professionalism at the highest levels of the dining room staff, including the very nice barman Salvatore: as good at preparing cocktails as he is at entertaining customers with his cheerfulness (ps. Thanks for all the daily ice). I conclude by congratulating everyone, especially Natalie and Virginia, extremely helpful and friendly receptionists, and the owner Florian for the very high level of the hotel and its hospitality. We can't wait to return soon, we've already booked next year's mid-August holiday but we're hoping that we'll find a place for New Year's Eve 😊 Sabrina Lombardi and Johnny

04/08/2024: Bellissima location, ai piedi della Cabinovia che porta all'Alpe. Personale molto cortese e premuroso. La pizza, cotta nel forno a legno, è davvero buona: fragrante, realizzata con ingredienti di ottima qualità, digeribilissima. La pizza migliore che abbia mangiato in Alto Adige! Buonissima anche la Pinsa. Ci torneremo sicuramente!

04/09/2024: We were there twice. Very nice service, food very tasty. Pizza huge. A bit noisy at peak times, although the first time we sat in a small room and it was better there. Be sure to make a reservation at peak time in the evening, even during the week it is very busy. Absolutely top value for money. Parking spaces in front of the door

20/07/2024: Have now been here twice for a week each on a motorcycle vacation. Our favorite hotel! Excellent food that fills everyone up. Rooms, service and modern wellness and pool facilities leave nothing to be desired. Generally informal and very comfortably furnished but still modern and very clean. Here’s to many more years here! Of course, the panorama and the happy rabbits and deer in front of the hotel are particularly beautiful.

20/07/2024: Well located hotel, with excellent swimming pool, fitness area and sauna. Company canteen cuisine (poor), good buffet and breakfast, warm, very warm dining rooms. The staff, especially the mature waitresses, were rude. There is no direction of the structure. The Saslong rooms are on the 4th floor, without a lift and steep staircase, low attic..., but when the request for a deposit arrives they don't tell you, the only mention is on the website, written in small print. The other rooms are good.

06/08/2024: I don't usually give 5 stars across the board, but this hotel felt like 5 stars. It felt pretty luxurious and peaceful. The interior design of this hotel was phenomenal, beautiful, flawless. The rooms were great. The service was top-notch. The location was amazing. We loved being greeted with friendly service and a welcome drink. We also loved that we didn't have to lug our heavy baggage to our room. Our hotel room was neatly decorated, clean, and simple. Great views of the Dolomites and the towns below. Service was top-notch. Everyone was super friendly and efficient. We got dinner at the hotel and the food was fresh and so delicious. The food came out fairly fast. Great selection of cocktails and wines. The location of the hotel allowed for great views of the Dolomites. The hotel was fairly central to everything else in Kastelruth. We enjoyed taking a late night swim in the pool and hot tub when no one else was there. The spa services were all booked up but sounded luxurious and high-quality. I highly recommend this hotel!!

19/08/2024: This restaurant is amazing. Has unique and delicious food options like Hay Soup (made with real hay, and it's extremely delicious), Nutspatziel was incredible, as well as Viagra pizza, and spare ribs were very good.

30/08/2024: Dated hotel but perhaps for this reason truly beautiful in harmony with the peace of this beautiful plateau where time stands still. The room with a magnificent view!! The SPA is new and very beautiful. The pool was a little cold for me and full of children but just move to the SPA area where access is only for adults. The girls at the reception and at the bar were really kind, which I really appreciated, well done! A wonderful holiday...I hope to return soon!! Clear

02/08/2024: Dopo un giro di 30km su e giù per l’Alpe questa malga ci ha attirato tra le tante. Sorrisi e curiosità per due disperati in bici muscolari tra la quasi totalità di e-Bike (beati…). Jackline ci ha raccontato i piatti con semplicità e passione, ci siamo fidati ciecamente e il risultato è stato top! I prezzi?!?… in linea con le altre malghe ma il sorriso e la loro cordialità sono uniche. Speciale poi la frittata imperiale con i mirtilli e purea di mela della nonna…SUPER!!! Da tornare in inverno per provare nuove esperienze. Antonio e Cristina
