17/05/2025: we saw the sunrise at a viewpoint nearby in August '24. we wanted to use the services of the mountain hut, but unfortunately it was closed (morning at 7.00). we will return because the view from here is truly breathtaking

24/04/2025: Great restaurant with great staff and fine food. The staff, from the service staff to the chef to the owner, were all in a good mood, friendly and accommodating. The food was prepared quickly and freshly in a partly open kitchen. Our pizzas tasted excellent. The taste was really good! The ambience of the restaurant is pleasant and high quality, a great place for a nice evening for two or in a group.

29/03/2025: We had already been there in 2019, but this time it was different owners. What a party. Refined food (as a change from the standard wiener schnitzel or pizza, very welcome). Nice service and a very neat interior. It's relative. Pricey, but we thought it was worth every euro after our visit!

04/03/2025: A nice little guesthouse run by a very warm and humorous couple. We were once again thoroughly enjoyed the delicious breakfast buffet (with cold cuts, cheese, jams, various cereals, fruit salad, yogurt, milk, juices, a variety of rolls and baguettes, toast, boiled eggs, etc.) and coffee, hot chocolate, cappuccino... Just a few minutes' walk from the cable car, right on the street, the Hauenstein is very well located. Skis can be stored in the drying room, and ski boots are stored in the locker near the entrance. We are already looking forward to our next vacation here and the entertaining visits to the bar with its special atmosphere.

06/03/2025: A wellness oasis It's beautifully furnished and very clean and well-maintained. The food is excellent. The spa area is a dream, and the gym has everything you need for a vacation. What really impressed us, though, was the entire staff. Their friendliness, helpfulness, and attentiveness are impressive. Where do you find such employees? I would give the hotel 6 stars if I could.

24/02/2025: 😊‼️exceptional I've been to many hotels around the world, but this is probably one of the best, if not the best. The only thing that should be changed is adding a glass door that closes off the shower. Since it's open to the room, it's cool to shower in February, even though the room is well heated. Beyond that, there are no words to describe the courtesy of the service, generosity, cleanliness, comfort and availability, including the high level of maintenance. The architecture and interior design are perfect, including the materials used. Breakfast and dinner are wonderful, varied and very tasty. Great and spacious gym. Heated and fun pool and children's pool. Excellent spa treatments, a variety of saunas. Unplanned hospitality is second to none, including alcohol gel kits and hand cream in every corner of the public areas.

30/05/2025: Don't go please, you will make yourself a favor. Horrible oily pizzas with low quality canned ingredients. We were passing by and stopped for dinner. This was the most disgusting pizza that we have ever tasted. We are from Portugal, and despite we don't know how to make pizzas there, this was even worst than the worst pizza I have ever eaten in Portugal. Come on people, after you guys read this review and if even after that you decide to go and have the worst Italian experience on your life, come here and be honest and real by supporting this review and making your own real review. I hope you don't support these high rated reviews that I cannot figure out how it's possible to anyone rate this with such.

22/03/2025: We went for dinner on the last day of the season. The restaurant was quiet and they were missing several dishes from the menu, but the ones we tried were delicious. The attention was very good.

12/05/2025: I'm actually not a fan of Google reviews because it's always a snapshot. It's been 2 years since our visit. But the experience there doesn't leave me alone. What I'm also not a fan of is the hype surrounding restaurants with Michelin stars. You can't actually eat badly, especially in South Tyrol. Nevertheless, we wanted to try it again. It was a complete disappointment. The entire meal was seasoned with soy sauce. I could have gone to any Asian bistro and it would have been better. But the highlight was that in the room where we ate, there was a Russian family in tracksuits sitting at the next table. It's a no-go in a restaurant like this. The icing on the cake was that they also smoked in the restaurant and the service didn't dare to put a stop to it. The only thing the service managed to do was apologize after we paid our €700 bill because the Russians smoked. It is more pleasant in every ski hut in the Sella Ronda.

Ottimi piatti ben curati e serviti, La cucina rappresenta bene lo stile altoatesino con ricette complesse, ma con un equilibrio di sapori e consistenze sempre presente . Nota di merito alla piccola pasticceria, molto creativa e servita su un tappeto di chicchi di caffe.

18/04/2025: A great stay for skiing. Unfortunately, we caught the exact week when the sun was practically nonexistent, and only clouds and fog were present. Still, it was spectacular. The hotel is in a fantastic location in terms of views, tranquility, and nature. If you want to be right in the center of town or right next to the lift, this is probably the wrong place. The hotel offers a free shuttle service in the morning and afternoon to Ortisei, Antoniusplatz (bus stop) or the two valley stations for the Seiser Alm and Seceda. From Antoniusplatz, it's about a 25-30-minute bus ride to Selva/Wolkenstein, where you can start your Sella Ronda tour directly. Free bus tickets for public transport are also available from the hotel (ask at reception). We opted for 3/4 board. The food is more than plentiful, varied, and delicious. Breakfast is plentiful, with fresh egg dishes. There's also a generous snack buffet for lunch/afternoon (if you stay at the hotel). ... A huge appetizer and salad buffet in the evening, followed by a 3-course menu, which you choose at breakfast in the morning. There's a daily variety at both the buffets, and the menu options weren't repeated in a single week. Every evening, the hotel offered a small additional offer, such as a welcome drink, mulled wine by the fire, schnapps tasting, and the like. At first, we thought, "Hmm, the spa is only open until 7:30 p.m." However, after being picked up by the shuttle every day, you have about 2 hours in the spa before going to dinner if you're planning on spending the whole day on the slopes. After dinner, we were both exhausted. The hotel spa is fairly new; other guests said it was built only about 3 years ago. The indoor and outdoor pools are very pleasantly warm and large, plus there's a whirlpool inside and a larger one outside. The ice bath is part of the sauna, which has a small, non-smoking area in the swimming area, and a separate nude sauna with a relaxation area. Perfect after a full day of skiing/snowboarding! Some of the rooms are brand new, while others are in a typical, somewhat older Tyrolean style. Underfloor heating in the bathroom, bidet, etc., as you'd expect from Italy. The only star deduction I'd give the room is for the mattress, which I found to be too hard, but I'm a bit sensitive about that. The ski room also has everything you need, but could be a bit larger or offer more hanging space. All the ski/snowboard storage spaces were quickly taken. But it's also a minor issue. For €5, you can use the washing machine and dryer, which was definitely very convenient after four days of skiing to reduce the unpleasant smells for the others for the last two days. The cleanliness in all areas is truly outstanding, and the price-performance ratio is right from start to finish. We will definitely come back to ski the Sella Ronda again in the sunshine.

11/02/2025: First of all: unfortunately you can't write two reviews about the same hotel, so here's a new one: I'm currently spending my last evening at the Hotel Santner. I wouldn't have expected it but there was an increase compared to the previous year. The “little haha”, (the room is a great size) double room was recently renovated in a very stylish manner with attention to detail. It has charm and still exudes coziness. The balcony offered a fantastic view in the morning and evening. The location of the hotel is a dream for skiers and hiking enthusiasts. Now to what makes the hotel special for me. The staff and the hosts, I would like to highlight the reception. Super understanding of problems big and small. No matter who you talk to... the room staff... the friendly drivers, the waiters or the family... there was never the feeling that you were being disturbed. People really live here so that their guests should be satisfied. The food leaves nothing to be desired and my special requests (a lot of side dishes were canceled) were also implemented. You don't like something? No problem, we'll do something different. There's nothing left for me to say other than thank you for the lovely, relaxing time.
